The Last Witness. Very disappointed with book. Felt like i was not reading a Griffin book. Do not recommend this book even though this series, early on, was very good.

The Last Witness. The worst, too many different characters, what 3 or 4 plot lines, superficial plot and character development, jumbled, to much jumping around, give me the old W E B. This one was a BIG WASTE of time and money.

Last Witness. Matt Payne's character maturity shines through in his work and personal relationship in the midst of crimes that are believable and some no doubt are based on fact. A must read!

The last witness. The book seems like it was rush, the author spend a long in the beginning try to explain the characters, and hush the ending and did not try to explain what happen to the some of the character in the book. This author has written better book in the past, but this was not it.

Thought Jr was getting the hang of it, but was wrong. This book is more like an episode in a soap opera than what I expect from a W.E.B. Griffin novel, lots of story elements that are left unresolved until some future date/episodes. The conclusion was along the lines of “Uh-oh, I only have five pages left to go, so I better just slap an ending on the main story line and not worry about anything else!” Ever since fils started takin voer from pere, this series has suffered the most, starting with a 35-year time jump, retaining (most of) the same characters, but moving them without any aging from the 1970s to the 21st century. At the rate this is going, it’s going to take four or five more books just to cover what would have been dealt with in one novel by the “real” W.E.B. Griffin III. On the book scale, I gave it a 3-star, but if graded on a GriffinRatingScale, I would give it 1 star (at most), but it demonstrates that the worst Griffin book, which this contends for, is still at least average on a general rating scale.

Waste of good money. You'd think I'd learn by now but habits are hard to break. When I see the name "WEB Griffin" I want to buy it...as I did here. Save your money. It's not worth it. The story is too shallow, too lacking in character development and...too short. This is more of a novella, and a poor imitation at that.

Too many subplots. I have always looked for the "next book"expecting a great read. This became disorienting at times, trying to keep track of who was doing what. I'm still trying to figure the time line of the story. ( looking back that is ) What eventually happened to the Russians? A hard book to give a brief description to another. A story about drug smugglers? Sex trading? A gruesome time was held by all!

Don't Bother. The Last Witness is unfortunately not an unexpected disappointment and my last book by William E. Butterworth IV! The hopscotch story line, marginally developed new characters, abbreviated character list, and novella length makes it not worthy of a W. E. B. Griffin novel. I am tired of paying full price for one half of a story.

Not as good as past work. This book is just not up to the standards that I expect. The plot is nothing new the new characters are not interesting. His past works have always been five stars.
