Fun read. What a great book. I looked forward to reading it each night before bed. I will certainly be reading another book from this author!

Long winded. The only reason I read it to the end was because I was too far into it to give up. Took forever to get to the point.

Cute story. Not many books have a main character as anything over a size 8, so this is a nice change reading about a size 18 woman, who has self confidence and enjoys sex. I've read another book with a size 14 woman and the author acted like she was a gorilla who didn't want to crush the guy she was having sex with, annoying to read, but Gretchen didn't make the character feel self conscious like that, which was good. Love the nerd aspect too!

This Time Next Door. I am not really sure how I feel about this book. First Rose moves to CA to be with her best friend who is pregnant with the child of Rose's ex... the best friend became pregnant the night they broke up.... The best friend and John the ex are freaking HORRIBLE people... I only kept writing this hoping for them to get what is deserved. and yes that did kinda happen with her losing the baby... but get this.... the Ex john still messed with Rose saying she as still in love with him and all that... Now lets talk about Mark..... FOR REAL? Mark was in love with the best friend and rose wasn't good enough for him... but he lusted after her... Blair the best friend was a forever woman but Rose was just a good screw... yeah there was a HEA in this book, but the way rose was treated by all parties was horrible. Yes she had somewhat of a backbone, but everyone and I mean EVERYONE trampled on her. Blair is NOT a best friend... and Jonh... john is a jerk...

Great and fun read!. I loved this book! I was totally invested in the characters, and eager to get to the end of the novel. Very well-written, and as a plus-size girl myself, it hit close to home.

A wonderful story!. Such a wonderful story to read. I am so glad I came across this author and series. I've been searching for a new good author for a while when I finally came across Gretchen Galway. I had download her free novel and was almost tempted to delete it after reading some of written short stories. Boy, am I glad I kept it and read it! It led me to reading the rest of the series which includes This Time Next Door about a shy geeky programmer and the beautiful, voluptuous, plus size Blondie next door. Definitely worth reading!

Cute story, but way too many open questions.. I actually enjoyed this book very much. It was cute, funny, and easy to read. However, there were too many plot points that were never addressed. I have pretty good suspension of disbelief, but the holes that were left in the story were too important to just leave hanging. 1. Why was he so embarrassed to be seen with her in front of his family? 2. What ever happened with her crappy co-workers? 3. Why did her crappy best friend just get a pass? 4. Why did she love her mom so much when she was so negative to the heroine. I would have probably written off all the other issues if it wasn’t for the BF Blair. She is literally the worst human being on the planet. Her boyfriend John is only marginally better and that’s only because he didn’t have the same expectation of loyalty as her BEST FRIEND. And they just get a whole big pass, while the heroine needs to get over it or is jealous. I was really thinking that Blair was going to get hit by a bus or something as comeuppance, but no just a HEA. *vomit*

Better writing than the standard romance novel. This book had good character building and was well written. Sometimes I leave a romance novel thinking, "yeah, right" but this one had a degree of believability.

Good read. Enjoyable book. Really like Mark, he's my favourite character. Rose is alright, but her measurements aren't bad enough for the fuss made over her size IMO. Also, find it hard to believe her level of acceptance with the whole John situation (he's a douche) but whatever.

Well worth a read!. Well what can I say? I've spent the last couple of days in the wonderful company of Rose, Mark, John and Blair and I can honestly say that it has been wonderful. Gretchen's character development of these people is amazing and almost hard to believe that they are entire fiction. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author as her style of writing is both witty and insightful. Highly recommended and greatly enjoyed!

Really enjoyed it. I had a break from university and I wanted to read something light, fresh, romantic, contemporary... and that was it. I loved the fact that the main character is far from the stereotypes! Had a wonderful time with this one!

Loved it all until ... It ended very quickly....after becoming so attached to the characters throughout the book, I wanted to know more and some things were left unexplained

I don't always review a book, but when I do I give it 5 🌟. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters, the storyline and the ending, but would LOVE to a second book devoted to this one, not other members of the family. On a side note, I loved the way Gretchen portrayed Rose as voluptuous, but sexy, confident (mostly) and desired. Given that we are roughly the same size, it really made me feel a lot better about being in my own skin. Something that doesn't happen too often. Usually I read chick-lit as a means of escape into the much more glamorous lives of the beautiful people, but this book made reality feel a bit nicer too. Magic.

Haven’t laughed so much in quite awhile.. I attuned to this author and her writing style so much, I laughed in places, till my sides hurt. Very quirky characters who developed throughout the story, I loved them, plus all the subsidiary ones. The quit witted repartee between the main two had me stifling laughter in the wee hours. If you like a little quirkiness to your story and you don’t fit the usual run of the mill that is the normal pigeon hole, either in brains or bodyshape, then this story could be for you....... I thoroughly recommend the read, it’s a delight 👍👍👍

This time next door. I thoroughly enjoyed every word of this book! When you get a book free (from Bookbub) you don’t usually expect a lot; This Time Next Door is the exception. Fun, believable characters, perfect pacing, great sex scenes, and a surprise ending. I finished the book last night and was disappointed when I tried to read today...on my way to buy more of the series.

It's alright. Characters are feeling reality however not liking the ending.... I was thinking more on the twist and exciting end.

Entertaining and Fun!. There is never a dull moment with this book. The characters had me laughing with their exchange, and the male protagonist, Mark, oh I cringed and squealed with laughter at his awkward attempt at conversation in the beginning few chapters. He was delightful! Do pick up this book if you are looking for an escape into a lighthearted, feel good, realistic story. I highly recommend. No, I INSIST you pick up this book!
