Amazing!. I got to read it before it was officially released and I’m so thankful I got too! This book is phenomenal! Can’t wait for book two!

Disappointed. I really loved the concept of this book (young/new vampires, the lack of a massive age gap between the leads), but it was a complete flop for me. I think I had two main grievances with the book: lack of thorough editing, and a lack of character/plot development. While reading, I found myself stopping every few pages to note another grammar error, or in a few instances, a whole WORD being left out. I’m talking about the first sentence of chapter six when Kimberly narrates, “My stomach was in as I made my way up the stairs to the large wooden doors of the OBA Frat house”. I assumed that the author meant to write “My stomach was in knots”? While this is a tiny mistake, it makes me wonder is the author had an editor at all. These types of little mistakes and typos occur throughout the book and it made it incredibly difficult for me to finish the book and immerse myself in the story (oh and btw I can’t confidently say that I even know WHAT the conflict was in the book or even what the plot was). I’ll try not to restate what’s already been said numerous times on Goodreads, so I’ll just say that Kimberly and Aaron are incredibly underdeveloped. By the end of the book I still felt like I didn’t know who these characters were fundamentally as people and I was unconvinced by their weird romantic relationship. Genuine question: was Kimberly supposed to read as someone genuinely interested in Aaron, or as a poor attempt at representing some offshoot of Stockholm’s syndrome? Seriously, how could the author think that it would be believable for Kimberly to like Aaron less than a week after he viciously attacked her? I will say that I did like the initial scene when Kimberly is attacked; I thought it was suspenseful enough and did a great job of hooking me, but that same tone and quality was not carried out in the rest of the book.

Good. Really liked the story and characters! It was slightly a difficult read it was un organized at times so that made keeping track a little difficult ! But overall I really liked it!
