When the duke loved me. Fabulous book, lots of tropes which I love and great characters.
Juvenile and shallow. This book was awful. As a teen, I would probably have loved the ridiculous to-ing and fro-ing of this couple, the repetitiveness of their proclamations and wouldn’t have noticed the sometimes disjointed plot/dialogue. As an adult who prefers nuanced characters and at the very least, plot progression/dialogue with some respect for my intelligence, I was disappointed and barely made it to the end. This is the second book I’ve read from this author and I’m not going back for a third.
