A determined colonel brings his wife and dark-eyed daughter Lucita to an isolated mission. Lucita spots a half-naked warrior. She's overwhelmed by the power in the savage's gaze. His connection to the wild land.
Black Wolf, once a captive of the priests, knows the colonel and his soldiers are determined to hunt him down. He longs to hide, but he must learn all he can about the enemy. He doesn't understand why he risked revealing himself to the beautiful young woman.
Lucita's father demands she marry a wealthy businessman, but Black Wolf hopes he can show her that there's more than one kind of faith and that love can unite two very different hearts.
