Povestea aceasta ni se adresează tuturor: răpirea Elenei, regina vestită pentru frumusețea ei, îi determină pe greci să trimită o mie de corăbii către Troia, pe care o vor asedia fără oprire, timp de zece ani sângeroși.
Zeus, Regele Zeilor, este cel care declanșează războiul, când îi cere prințului troian Paris s-o aleagă pe cea mai frumoasă dintre zeițe. Ca să aibă câștig de cauză, Afrodita îi promite inima Elenei, soția regelui Menelau al grecilor, și de aici începe urgia.
