One of my favorite authors. If you love stories about fae and fantasy, this series is wonderful. It’s wonderfully written and hard to put down. I’ve read many of her books and they always leave me wanting more. My little escape from reality! Laec is a great character and I love his story unfolds!

Far, Creatures, and exciting adventures. I want to start by saying thank you A.L. Knorr what a great book. If you have come here because you like your fairies and creatures then get going and start reading. If you are not sure about fairies and creatures let me help you understand what a wonderful adventure you will be getting. This great fantasy world is called Ivryndi and has different kingdoms. Don’t let this be something to turn you away, you will get the hang of it. You will also find that this book has 3 main characters which are all very well written and who develop greatly within the story. This is book 1 in the series and I am excited to find out what happens to them in the next books. First off we have Jesse, a young girl who is half-fae. Her mother does not allow her to let anyone know about her fae heritage. One day the great Calyx come to Solana where she lives and Jesse sees how special fae can be. Her dream of something bigger and better emerges and pushes her forward. Once at the palace Jesse has lots of obstacles in her way in becoming a Calyx just like the ones she saw in her village. Will all the secrets be to much for her or will she be able to persevere and fulfill her dream of being something bigger and better than she ever imagined? Laec is a young fae who is very aware of his magic. Unfortunately he is also a fae that has momentarily lost his strive. Is an opportunity given to him by his queen the thing he needs to get up and going? Maybe it is the beautiful lady he meets during his travels. Whatever it is that makes him pick himself up and get going, will it be enough to keep him out of trouble or is he going down the slippery slope of self destruction once again? Lady Cifta is a beautiful young fae who has grown up with the notion of doing her duty to her family. When her father tells her he has found her a husband she packs her things and makes herself presentable. After a long and challenging journey she meets her future husband and is shocked to find what a cold hearted person he is. Even with her sense of duty Lady Cifta knows she has to leave but instead she ends up imprisoned. Who will come to save the fair Lady Cifta and take vengeance on this unseelie future husband of hers? This book is a great read and the detail of description on the pages makes it come to life. This is not a quick read as it is a huge book. I was impressed by the size and excited to dive into the world of Jesse, Laec, and Lady Cifta in the land of Ivryndi. I am ready to read the next book and find out what other adventures they are going to get into.

An intriguing and fresh idea. It took me a little to grasp all the characters because, because you know life, but I’m really enjoying this story. It’s a fresh idea and not like anything I’ve read before. I will definitely be continuing to the end of this series. Off to read the next book!

Great author. I love all A.L. knorr’s books. They’re very easy to read but well written. If you love fae & fantasy books, this is a great one to start. Sometimes it may take a second for the books to pick up but once they do, you’re going to be hooked on the series. I recommend all of her books, after this!

An epic, magical fae tale I can’t get enough of!. Expertly written, Blossom at Midnight brings together three characters who don’t know each other to begin with, but then inexplicably end up intertwined in the magic and politics of AL Knorr’s fae universe. The character development does take a little time but the characters are easily likable and relatable. I’m obsessed with the magic and familiars, and Knorr has really knocked it out of the park in making everything work together while also creating a compelling narrative that makes me ridiculously excited for more stories to come. As an AL Knorr fan, I can say that she just gets better and better, and I love watching her grow in her capacities as a storyteller. This is a must-read for those who love fae/magical beings and realms, complex characters, royal court intrigues, and blossoming love stories (um, can’t wait to see how those unfold!). I laughed and cried multiple times… I can’t say enough good things about Blossom at Midnight!

Amazing Story!. I read this last year and it has stayed with me since then. The world building is amazing. I love the characters and the story line is so unique. I highly recommend!

Just WOW. I was a little wary when I found out Laec was getting his own story, but boy was I in for a treat! This series unlocks a whole new world, and the Scented Court is painted in the most incredibly vibrant ways. The author’s descriptiveness made me envision every part of this fantastical realm, and I fell in love with the characters as well! I can’t wait to see where this goes.

Great New World. I have loved Abby’s books for a while now and when I found out that we would meet an old aquaintance, I was very excited. It’s a fabulous new world, totally different from her Elementals series. It’s beautiful, well written, clean and exciting. The story is just enfolding and lots of mysteries and plots are coming. I loved this different side of Laec’s, he is turning into a man :) It’s a lovely book and a fabulous story!!

Fantastic. What a fantastic book. Loved this one. Abby did a great job. A great story and a wonderful way to spend some time. Looking forward to her next one.

Slow beginning, but also I need to read more!. This is the first book by this author I have read. I went in knowing it was fantasy and that was all. Fantasy is a genre I seem to have mixed feelings about, in general. This book spent a lot of time World building and in getting to know the characters. It was absolutely necessary but also didn’t immediately catch my interest as much as I would’ve preferred. However, once I got past the slow beginning, about 2/3 in, I was definitely glad that the author had taken the time to world build so that I could appreciate the action. I have my predictions about what happens next and I am definitely left wanting to read the next book! In conclusion, not a particularly fast read, especially the first 2/3 of the book, but a good read and I do plan on continuing the series!

Amazing world building. Love this book and the author. I have read many of her other books and she never fails to give you an amazing story. Can’t wait to finish the series!

Dive into the world of fae!. At first, I was skeptical of A L Knorr adding completely new characters to the same universe as the Elementals. I have now fallen in love with Cifta and Jess. It explains the world that Georgianna eventually travels to. It’s overall wonderful and I now find myself reading other books about fae.

A great read for fantasy lovers. A. L. Knott takes you into her world of the Fey. This world is beautiful, yet with danger as well from unseelie fey. I love the characters, the familiars, and the intrigue of court life. There are three more books to read if you want more after this first book. It is a wonderful series of stories and quite original.

Absolutely Lovely. I absolutely love anything that Abby Writes. When I need a good book I almost always come back to all of hers.

Great Clean Fae Read. This was my first book to read by this author. I really enjoyed her world building and her characters. The story follows three different characters which are connected eventually. Each one is different and intriguing in their own way. At first I only wanted Jessica’s story but came to love hearing all the other stories. I did find out that Laec is a character from another series which is set in the same world. It doesn’t really matter if you haven’t read that series (I haven’t) but you’ll see a bit of that story early on in his introduction (in case you get confused). I would recommend this book for a good clean fae read.

Loved it. What an amazing start to a new series. Loved that Laec is one of the main characters in this series. If you love fantasy, adventure and twists and turns, this is a great read.

Incredible !. LOVED this book !! The story of three different characters intertwining is delicious and so full of adventures. This world created by A.L. Knorr is inventive and oh so addictive. If you are like me, it might take you a few chapters before you fully get into it but all I can say is don’t give up, it gets incredibly good and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series !

Savour Every Morsel of Prose. Abby’s imagination never fails to amaze me (wait ‘til you learn how perfume is made). And her prose is brilliant - richly descriptive (as usual, but even more so). I feel as though I’ve watched this, rather than read it - I see everything so clearly; flora fauna, dark and bright castles … After inhaling (haha) ‘A Blossom at Midnight’ my only regret was having to wait for the next instalment (this has since been remedied - the series is complete). I read it again to refresh, before reading ‘A Memory of Nightshade’ (the second in the series). And the reread was better yet - the trouble with inhaling a book is not paying the author’s effort full justice (blood, sweat [haha], and tears). A second read afforded me the opportunity to truly savour every morsel of prose. I highly recommend A Blossom at Midnight, and the whole Scented Court series

Guaranteed good read. Everything by A L Knorr has been an incredible read. This author has never let me down. And the best thing? If you try this book our, there’s more in the series already published AND you can read all of her other books (which there are plenty of!) I highly recommend this book.

An exciting start to an amazing adventure.. This book is an exciting start to a super fun adventure. New types of magic, some familiar faces and new characters to grow to love. A fast paced, easy read. Knorr does an amazing job painting a beautiful world! You won’t want to miss it.

Another win with this book.. Such an imagination. Reading this book takes you into the lives of the characters. It is so well written that you won’t want to put it down. I really like the way A.L. Knorr writes. Always magical.
