Wer ist John Maynard Keynes
John Maynard Keynes, 1. Baron Keynes war ein englischer Ökonom und Philosoph, dessen Ideen die Theorie und Praxis der Makroökonomie sowie die Wirtschaftspolitik von Regierungen grundlegend veränderten. Ursprünglich war er Mathematiker und baute auf früheren Arbeiten über die Ursachen von Konjunkturzyklen auf und verfeinerte sie erheblich. Als einer der einflussreichsten Ökonomen des 20. Jahrhunderts verfasste er Schriften, die die Grundlage für die als keynesianische Ökonomie bekannte Denkschule und ihre verschiedenen Ableger bilden. Seine als Neukeynesianismus umformulierten Ideen sind von grundlegender Bedeutung für die Mainstream-Makroökonomie. Er gilt als „Vater der Makroökonomie“.
