The emotionally destructive marriage. This book came into my life at exactly the right time. It helped me find words and define feelings I couldn't find on my own. The scriptural references are helping me find my God-given strength to face what I put off for way too long. I am understanding that submission as a wife as I was taught only rewards a self-centered spouse. Leslie Vernick educates, instructs and encourages compassionately, no judging, shaming or condemnation. Thank you Leslie Vernick for helping me find my strength and hopefully helping my husband become the man Fod has intended him to become.

Excellent Book. Very helpful. When organized religion is telling you its your duty and obligation to stay and forgive. This book is like a freeing breath of fresh air. Would highly recommend!

Not Enough Meat. Some useful thoughts, but like so many Christian books, not tough enough on dealing with some really destructive people and marriages. Marriage can be hellish, and if kids are involved it can be a never-ending bad dream. The church needs to be a whole lot stronger in the ongoing spiritual war.
