Review. This textbook is better than ordinary history textbooks because of the way it is written and the interactive reviews in the book. It's easier to understand than previous history textbooks that I've read.

The Best. This book made history very clear, and really helped to get me to understand the truth behind democracy. The book was great, there isn't really anything that you can completely change.

Good. I likes that the book is very straight forward and to the point. The book also clearly states the who, what, when, why, and why is it important. It gives a lot of detail with out overloading you with words.

Easy to read book. I like this book a lot. It helps me understand the main terms of the industrial revolution

Good. I like how you start the beginning of sections and paragraphs with a sentence directly about the next that paragraph and the next ones. Great use of SAT vocabulary words.

Good book. It was written quite simply and easy to understand. I liked how the sections were clearly labeled and easy to follow. It was easy taking notes about this book.

Review. Great, but found a few spelling errors. It was very good and I enjoyed the interactive features a lot. It as very well written and easy to read.

Great book. I was able to understand the book easier and it is a very easy read. To take notes off this book is very helpful because its fairly simple to pick out the important facts and quotes.

The rise of democracy. This text book compared to other text books that I've had in the past, is much better for me. I liked this one because it had a lot of good information. Past text books that I've had have a lot more text, but a lot of the time the information is useless. This book also has a lot of pictures and visuals that helped. Lastly, at the end of each section, it had a quiz and I always did them which helped a lot.

Great Book. I loved it. It was so great. I enjoyed the changeable pictures and the quizzes. My only disappointment was how short the quizzes were. Most books have longer ones. I would rather the quizzes be more questions than timelines. Thanks for making this. It's better than any textbook I've used before!

Enforcer. This book was very thorough and the information was clear and condense into which u could clearly understand the point. Very easy to understand the information and grasp the full points of history.

Better than a normal textbook. I like this textbook better than the ones I had in previous years of my education because it is more interactive and and better for pictures and videos also I like the quizzes in each lesson are really helpful. My only problem with this is that it is hard to take notes with an iPad because you have to keep switching to the book and your notes which is very annoying and makes your notes way longer to take than they should.

High School Students View. This book was a great. It provided a lot of information, while still being very interactive. It has very good pictures, and includes quizzes and vocabulary checks.

Pretty darn good. This book was easy to read and filled with great facts and dates from start to finish. Best history book I've had in...forever.

Straight forward. I always knew what the book was talking about. Sections are clear key terms Bolded. Not biased in anyway.

Good Book. I liked this book because it is interactive and easy to understand. There are a lot of pictures that give the reader a better understanding of the event. The short quizzes help the reader learn the material better.

Short and sweet. Unlike standard text books, I found this iBook to be just as informing, in a much nicer package. Instead of a textbook monotonously shoving information at a student, this book puts information into an easily understood, simple format. This is a good book to have in a students arsenal.

Understandable. This is the only history textbook I have not dreaded reading. It is very easy to read and it worded in a way that is is familiar to me. While being so understandable, it also doesn't loose it's historical value. It has all the information you need. Also, unlike other textbooks it only has the information that is important to know. Some other textbooks have useless or unimportant parts the we either skipped over or had to read thorough but get nothing out. This book is the best history textbook I have ever had. Also I love how interactive it is. Great tool to learn history.

Makes history simple. The book gave good examples of what the types democracies where and how they formed, it would have been better with more pictures

The rise of democracy. Great overall text book. Not only does it contain a good amount of information, but the vernacular it is in is easier to comprehend. I also like the interactive questions and pictures to help summarize the material in each chapter.

Amazing. It was easy to understand and you didn't have to search for the terms because each section was organized. The pictures and interactive quizzes also helped me to get a firmer grasp upon the concepts.

IBook Review. This is the first book that has focused on every detail that I actually needed to know. I like how there wasn't any trivial details but rather just the important parts. It was much easier to understand and much more interesting since it didn't not continue on a single topic for ages.

Easy to learn. In comparison to using a traditional textbook, Cleary's "The Rise of Democracy" is equally, if not more effective, as a traditional textbook. The contents is organized and easy to find. I personally as a student, found it easy to learn the contents of the book. The information on each subject is summarized well and it is not too long. A great asset that is included inside the eBook compared to the traditional textbook is that there are quizzes that are located at the end of each section to help you review. Great job Mr. Cleary.

Excellent, highly recommended. This history textbook truly changed my life. It opened up my eyes to the past and allowed me to look into the future. It is extremely clear and easy to understand, but also has many statistics and empirics to back up the claims it makes. In particular, the interactive pictures and reviews are extremely helpful and make studying the textbook feel less dry and detached and more like you are actively doing something. In addition, it is phrased in such a way that it is very easy to relate to, using metaphors and analogies well.

History book. Lot of good information and interactive. I learned a lot from it that I never knew before.

Rise Of Democracy. I thought it was a very good history book with strong examples and evidence to back things up. Also, with the way that it is written, it is enjoyable to read. Other books either cite useless examples or start talking about random information, but this book stays true to it topic which is vital to keep the readers attention. Also the pictures and diagrams are nice. Good book in general, would highly recommend it to any history class.

Great Textbook. I found it was easy to follow and that there very little problems that had occurred or I have seen. I enjoyed using this book because there is enough information for you to understand, but not so much that you get overloaded. It was also easy enough to find information within this e-book. It would be helpful if there were more questions at the end of each section to help study and memorize the dates and times in which something occurred. Overall a very helpful and useful book.

Great Book. This is a great book and is very easy to follow. There are a good number of quotes and other primary sources to get a further understanding of the topic. It doesn't just throw facts at you.

Very good textbook. This textbook covers all of the required material in-depth and it is easy to access, read, and take notes from. This is far better than my last year's textbook and I would recommend it to any class.

Great and thoughtful book. This book has a lot of information on the Rise of Democracy. There are some errors like spelling. I like like the interactive review questions at the end of every chapter because you can answer them in the book. I would suggest some more pictures on some of the pages, like at least one picture on each page because some of the page seem boring without them.

Arnold Schwarzenegger. This book was very good. It had all the information we needed to know in a very straight-forward manner.

Awesome book. I liked how the book was organized. Also I appreciated the diagrams that corresponded with the different concepts. Thirdly the book is very interactive which helps in the learning processes.

Review. I liked how the book was very interactive. After each section there was some activity that helped test your knowledge on what you read. I liked how only the most important stuff was written down. Finally, I liked how it wasn't using huge or difficult words to understand because it helped to make the reading clearer. Usually my previous textbooks were just blobs of text and this one helped with all its visual aids.

Understandable. It helped me to understand the material we talked about. It was one of the easiest history books to understand and to read.

Title. This is one of the best history books that I've read before! Everything is easy to understand and it's straight-forward. I don't have to read the material twice like with other books.

Good book. It is a good, clear book to read, pictures helpful, but maybe more descriptive pictures would help. If the book could switch to going vertical that would be cool. Overall it was a good book with good information, and the little reviews at the end were cool.

An all around good book. This book is good. It went into plenty of detail about the democracies of the time, and was also clear and fun to read. There are a few typos though, and a few more subjects that should have had a little more explanation, and also would have liked it if it maybe went into the democracy of america, but it is still good. Goes into much more detail than the history book I had last year.
