Disappointing, formulaic. I'd rather re-read one of Lowell's earlier books, like The Danvers Touch (which she renamed for some reason when she reissued publication). Hmmm, I'll try not to be cynical about that. In any case Night Diver is flat, repetitive, and although there are sex scenes...there's no passion nor sensuality. Lowell is boggled down by a convoluted plot with a sudden fix at the end. Lack of character development, too many characters and no sense of internal motivation on the part of the erstwhile hero. This just doesn't "read" like a Lowell romantic suspense.
Night Diver. Have been reading Elizabeth Lowell for many, many years. This book was a disappointment. Not up to her standard.
Night Diver. As a diver, I loved those scenes. But the whole book was captivating. Excellent.
