All Lined Up by Cora Carmack Book Summary

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cora Carmack follows up her trio of hits—Losing It, Faking It, and Finding It—with this thrilling first novel in an explosive series bursting with the Texas flavor, edge, and steamy romance of Friday Night Lights.

In Texas, two things are cherished above all else—football and gossip. My life has always been ruled by both.

Dallas Cole loathes football. That's what happens when you spend your whole childhood coming in second to a sport. College is her time to step out of the bleachers, and put the playing field (and the players) in her past.

But life doesn't always go as planned. As if going to the same college as her football star ex wasn’t bad enough, her father, a Texas high school coaching phenom, has decided to make the jump to college ball… as the new head coach at Rusk University. Dallas finds herself in the shadows of her father and football all over again.

Carson McClain is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up. He needs the scholarship and the future that football provides. But when a beautiful redhead literally falls into his life, his focus is more than tested. It's obliterated.

Dallas doesn't know Carson is on the team. Carson doesn't know that Dallas is his new coach's daughter.

And neither of them know how to walk away from the attraction they feel.

Boring. The first 50 pgs were really good then the following 200 pgs were so boring I was dying to get to the end. Very disappointed.

Awesome.. I adore Cora and I adore her work. That being said this book has now become one of my favorites. I'm not exactly ready to let go of Dallas and Carson quite yet. I'm so hoping she does something more with them.

Liked it. I liked this but I felt like ending was rushed and incomplete.

Awesome!. This was fantastic. Great love story for the YA books! Loved Carson right from the start. Such a sweet guy.

Another great Cora book!. This is the latest Cora Carmack and just like the others it is charming, sweet and has just the right amount of humor. This is a wonderful start to a series that is about finding your place in the world, growing up and finding lover. Looking forward to rest of the series too.

Cora Carmack is always a sure thing.. I'll say this up front. I am a Texas girl and a Cora Carmack fan. To me, reading one of Cora's books is always a sure thing. But really, you have to believe when I say that this new series is taking things to a whole new level. One of my issues with a lot of books in the New Adult genre is believe-ability. A lot of the situations and relationship feel forced and unrealistic. The couple becomes close because of a bet that 'forces' them to stay in the same place, or other such nonsense that just doesn't feel genuine to me. This story flows straight from a place we all know well; the attempt to discover and prove to the world who we are. It's organic and beautiful. It's sweet and tearful. It restores my faith in the New Adult category. Dallas is a Texas girl through and through. Her father has recently accepted the position as football coach at Rusk University, the very same school that Dallas will be attending in the fall. Dallas despises everything about football, most especially the Rusk University quarterback and her ex high school sweetheart, Levi. She is at a crossroads. Her father has plans for her life that just don't fit with her own. Dallas is a dancer and dreams of earning a dancing scholarship to a college far away from her father and the game that makes up so much of his life, but she cannot figure out how to make this dream happen. Especially when her dad throws so many road blocks in her way. Carson is no stranger to hard work. His family's recent fall into financial difficulty has drastically narrowed his choices for college. With a little luck and a lot of practice, Carson hopes to make the Rusk University football team and make his way to the quarterback position and an offer for a full scholarship, his only hope of continuing his education. Carson and Dallas meet as she is fleeing yet another agonizing night out where everyone is talking of football. Dallas falls into Carson's lap quite literally, and he falls, hard, for the "gorgeous girl with the lion's roar". Although the two hit it off, trouble comes quickly when Dallas shows up at football practice and sees object of her crush there in his practice uniform. Carson knows that he has to focus on getting good grades in order to keep playing. And he is going to need a lot of help and hours with the trainer in order to be good enough to beat Levi and have a chance to play as quarterback. As hard as he tries to stay focused on the big picture, he cannot escape thoughts of the girl with the dark red hair and heart-shaped face. She is the coach's daughter and exactly the sort of distraction that could cost him his future. In ALL LINED UP, Cora Carmack proves that everything is bigger in Texas; bigger risks, bigger dreams, bigger heartache, bigger love. We have been introduced to a great cast of characters and I cannot wait to see what kind of trouble they get up to.

Loved it!!. Have been waiting for this since Cora's Rusk series was announced last fall, and this was everything I hoped for and more. It's full of Cora's signature humor, a dose of awkward, a whole lot of romance, and a couple that rivals Bliss and Garrick. Definitely recommend!

Cora Carmack does it again!. Every time I read a new Cora Carmack novel, I think to myself, "this was even better than the last one!" All Lined Up is so good. It's even better than the Losing It series which is one of my all time favorites. The romance was hot, the Texas football lifestyle was so cool even for a non football fan like myself. Dallas and Carson make the book though. They and the rest of the Rusk team are amazing and I already can't wait for the next book.

Loved It. Cora Carmack is one of my favorite authors and this book was AMAZING!! I loved it so much that I had to read it twice! If you're looking for a great read All Lined Up is your best bet!

Cora is not for me.. This is my second Cora Carmack novel and even though the writing was better in this one, I was still very bored. Dallas and Carson are cute together, but his pet name for her irritated the hell out of me. I'll stick to Jamie, Abbi and Colleen in future.

All Lined Up. Great read with a great, sassy style of writing. Funny, quirky and sexy all in one. Loved it.
