Loved it!. Great book that made me want to continue reading the series. I've just finished the third one, and so far books 2 and 3 are as good as the first, which I'm happy about because sometimes books in a series get weaker, and boring. Nope! Not with this series. Starting book 4 as soon as I'm done writing this. 😃

Just...fab. This story starts out slow but eventually paces up and becomes memorable, touch, heartbreaking and eventually back into happiness and joy! Its a story i wont forget And i wish it were real!!! I really loved it very beautifully written

Cool. It was honestly a bit of a drag. The beginning seemed like it was all over the place and I was very bored. It started gaining some speed but didn't really reach a successful height. I download this book because of the name 'Killian', really. Awesome name. His character is good. Loved the part where he blew a kiss in the first game shown. Some parts were unrealistic which I dislike so it lost a star. The boredom cut another star.

Mediocre. The writing and plot is mediocre. The book is not captivating at all.

Loved it!. Enjoyed each character they were well developed and woven neatly within the story. The sex was not overdone and left some things to the imagination. Kudos to the writer! 😀

Worth the read. Killian is a NFL quarterback and meets Rebecca at a party. They have a bit of an insta-love connection, although her insecurities and his temper/game focus is an issue between them. This was bit of a weird one for me. I thought in the beginning, it would be problematic for me. There was some weird social commentary that I found off putting, but by the 2nd chapter, it had died off. I actually really liked Killian. He was caring and thoughtful with Rebecca. She had insecurities with her “plain Jane” looks and her height. He really put up with way more than I would with trying to get Rebecca to see her beauty. He was sole minded when it came to winning the game. This made for tense game day rituals and bad behavior when losing, but he was always quick to explain his behavior in advance so she was prepared and apologize. Where this book went from a 3 star read to a 4 a star read was after the inevitable “problem” that all romance novels have where the couple questions there connection. Killian said something truly awful and hurtful. However, instead of the accident troupe or a half a$$ed apology where the woman folds and forgives him, Rebecca actually suddenly grew a backbone. Was pretty shocking after she came off a little...desperate?...during the course of the novel, but I liked it! He really did the grovel and did it well. Gotta love a good grovel. Overall, I would recommend!

Nothing really happened. Sorry but I just really didn't enjoy this book. There didn't seem to be any point to it and not much happened. Ok I suppose for a free book, I would have been disappointed if I'd have paid for it.

Whoar! Steamy!. This is a good story. Fast paced, believable characters and a HEA. Only reason it doesn't get five stars is that the language is a bit crude for my liking but that is probably realistic for the characters.

Why?. I don’t like how you talk about black people and gay people in this, it made it a very uncomfortable read at points . For example, your over use of ‘sis’ and ‘baby girl’; you’re coming off as tone deaf. It’s making it seem like your only interaction with black and gay people is through sitcoms and reality tv. The rest of the story is good, so work on this as you’re coming off very badly in this area.

Strong sportsman who doesn’t give up the play until he gets his woman!. Firstly this was my first book by Holly S. Roberts and I’m glad I found it as I love sports romances, especially well written. When I first started reading, I was amazed by the brilliant start where you are thrown straight in there with a bang rather than a slow introduction. It had me gripped and intrigued to see where the author was going to go with the story. I admit, I expected this to be a typical strong sports star male and average girl and to a point it was but I also found the twist of Michael and that story actually helped give Killian a depth I didn’t truly expect. It was also intriguing to see Rebecca as an athlete in her own right but yet had body hang ups despite what you would expect of an athlete. Also, I was glad Rebecca was able to make a stand against Killian and challenge his thoughts and actions and didn't just instantly forgive him. The story moved at a fast pace and definitely didn’t feel like it dragged out anywhere for too long, as with some books. Some characters such as Malory and Michael reinforced that issue of not to judge a book by it’s cover, although for very different reasons. The park scene with Killian and Michael was probably my favourite out of the whole book. One scene did make me a bit uncomfortable and personally was on the edge for me in terms of how it was and that was when he forced her to her knees (won’t say anymore for spoiling it). Personally, I like stories that have an epilogue and Play had a sweet epilogue which summed up any lingering questions and the small glimpse we got of Killian, Rebecca and Mikey was such a sweet HEA ending. Overall, this was a nice read for something different and if you like hot and steamy sports romances with strong males, don’t hesitate to give this book a read.
