Fascinating. Not the typical mail order bride story. The author keeps the reader engaged with feelings of loss and emotional pain. The characters were fantastic and the town helped each other through grief. This was a fantastic story.

Abby: Mail order Bride. This is a very well written book that is both heartwarming and interesting. The author takes you to the farm as if you were there beside her! Her characters have so much heart and she relays true emotions through them. My impression of this book is to say I wish I could give her more than 5stars, because she truly deserves it in my estimation. I can not wait to read the next one in this series. To the author: I am 56 years old and have loved to read all my life. Few books have brought me to tears but this is truly a piece of art and I thank you for the opportunity to read this. Granmill

Love. Love. Love.. I was so sad when this book ended. The author pulls you in to the point you feel like you are there. It's so amazing to be able to write with so much feeling and be able to share. I could feel Abby's devastation when she lost her son. My heart broke for all the characters. What a great book. Thanks for sharing.

A bit twee, however the author killed off the cute little boy Ty (I was shocked!) and plunged Abby into a deep depression so she got more kudos for that. I'm not such a fan of Westerns, but it was a reasonable read. Abigail is a 38 year old school teacher who spent her courting years looking after her aging parents. Now alone, she takes a risk to correspond with a rancher who needs a mother for his 3 kids. She is delighted when he's good looking as well as kind and educated. The family still grieve for Molly, his first wife, (especially 14 year old sullen Luke), and despite marrying her quickly for the sake of her reputation, he waits weeks before consummating. After the death of little Ty, and Abby leaves the family, Brant (and Luke) realise they have held back expressing how much they value Abby, because of feeling unfaithful or diminishing the love they feel for Molly.
