The Mozart Project - perfect fusion of technology and scholarship. This is one of the first eBooks that I’ve seen in iBooks that combines appropriate scholarship with innovative technology, and to do both at such a high level of quality. For those who don’t know the “big names” in Mozart scholarship, all you need to see if Cliff Eisen, Neal Zaslaw, and Simon Keefe’s names with this book to know that you’re reading something of high intellectual integrity and accuracy. The other contributors are certainly no slouches either, including the great director Sir Jonathan Miller, who directs the play, “Mozart and Salieri,” which is included in chapter 10 of the book. Each chapter features musical examples linked immediately within the book (so no clumsy searches for the link to the music), and the interviews within the chapters include the great Mozart performers of this century, including Sir Thomas Allen and Dame Felicity Lott, among many others. The price for this book is exceptional, especially given the superb quality of the sources, and the clean, easy-to-use interface of the iBook. While the iBook will have significant value for Mozart scholars and musicians, it is not impossible to read for novices (the two creators of the iBook are not professional musicians themselves, but they’ve clearly relied on musical experts within the text), so anyone looking to learn more about Mozart and listen to his music will find this iBook to be a wonderful resource. This belongs in your iBooks library!

Simply Amazing. The Mozart Project is an incredible iBook. I can't put it down!

Truly extraordinary- the single finest ebook to date. Or at least single finest iBook. The Mozart project shows the potential of an iBook as never before. The quality of the production, music chosen and interpreted and seamless video integration is close to perfect. I am no scholar of music, just a simple listener who loves Mozart and this book has been an education and a delight.

A must-have iBook!. For anyone wanting to learn about Mozart and his music, or for someone like me who is already a fan, this is a wonderful resource that provides a fascinating journey through his life and work. The text of the iBook is complemented by an extensive range of audio and video that make for a truly enjoyable interactive experience. Clearly, a huge amount of effort and talent has gone into its creation, and I'm very grateful to the producers for all their fantastic work and to all involved. It's excellent value for money and a purchase I would highly recommend.

Not very good, will put you off classical music!. You'll learn more about Mozart from Google than this App! Pretentiously presented with poor functionality it does nothing to inspire interest in the subject. Worst of all, for a so called educational tool, you can't enlarge the text or have it audio? Save your money and buy the music.

6 stars - absolutely incredible. This is such an awesome book (if you can call it that!). So much content, music, video, sound recording, original transcripts and letters, it puts Mozart in the context and brings the story to life so well. For fans of Mozart, or just fans of music in general, this is a must buy - I can’t wait to get fully stuck in. Congratulations, the authors should be given a medal of some kind.

WOW... Just WOW!. I got this having seen it featured in the Sunday Times and just thought I had to get it. Over the years I've bought many books on Mozart and other great composers but none have been quite so comprehensive and fun as this. It feels both familiar yet modern all at the same time... Quite stunning really. MUST BUY!

It's like visiting a Mozart Exhibition. A really great interactive resource, a combination of rich content and slick design make it really engaging. Really great for schools, will be purchasing more copies for mine shortly!

The Mozart Project. I sat yesterday to read this amazing iBook . After I finished the first chapter entitled The Grand Tour i I felt is had met Amadeus his father and his sister in his home town of Saltzburg. We heard anecdotes about his family tour the city and listened to his music. If I didn't know the musical jargon I just clicked m it and up came a description. A truly amazing experience a must have iBook which yeas ruddy was no 2 in the iBook charts after an fantastic review in the Sunday times . Well done Jamie and Harry!
