Fast pace with intrigue from page 1. Ahhhhhhh! Once again I am completely blown away with Monique Martin's ability to keep me guessing......the way that true events and fiction are woven together for the story is uncanny (she really does her homework). Simon and Elizabeth head to 1800s London in this next installment to believe it or not, save Jack the Ripper....um save him? Yes.... We meet Victor , a Frenchman who is also a member of the council and the three are off on a whirlwind adventure. Ms. Martin uses actual events in the story, and at times I felt myself thinking..."holy cow what if it really did happen that way??" Jack Wells also makes an appearance as does the evil Katherine Vale. can Simon and Elizabeth save the world in time? Once again a great read that kept me glued to the book from page one. Love this series....
