Goya by Rappai Zsuzsa Book Summary
Az e-könyv a Kossuth Kiadó által nyomtatásban megjelentetett nagysikerű Világhíres festők című sorozat azonos című kötetének szöveganyagát tartalmazza, az illusztrációk nélkül.
„A festészetben nincsenek szabályok” – jelentette ki Goya a madridi San Fernando Királyi Művészeti Akadémián 1792-ben tartott beszédében. Azt m. javasolta, hogy a növendékeknek engedjék szabadon fejleszteni művészi képességeiket, s hagyják, hogy a maguk választotta mesterek műveiből merítsenek ihletet ahelyett, hogy a neoklasszicista iskola doktrínáihoz kelljen ragaszkodniuk. Goyának saját bevallása szerint három mestere volt: Velázquez, Rembrandt és a Természet. Életműve ugyanakkor nem sorolható be semmilyen kategóriába sem, stílusának változatossága pedig kivételes.
Francisco Goya 82 évet élt (1746–1828), s ez idő alatt elképesztően hatalmas életművet alkotott – körülbelül 500 olajfestményt és falképet, közel 300 rézkarcot és litográfiát, valamint több száz rajzot hagyott hátra. Festőként és grafikusként is termékeny művész volt, aki számos technikával kísérletezett – még élete vége felé is egy új nyomtatási eljárás úttörője lett, ő készítette az első művészi litográfiát.
