Katukatti Bob -kirjan myötä maailmankuuluiksi nousseen Bob-kissan ja isäntänsä Jamesin hauska ja koskettava tarina jatkuu.
Katusoittaja Jamesin ja Bob-kissan yhteiselo Lontoossa on jatkuvaa taistelua jokapäiväisen leivän edestä, mutta siihen tuo iloa kaverusten ystävyys. Koittaa myös päivä jolloin Jamesin on lopetettava lääkkeiden käyttö. Siirtyminen heroiinista metadoniin oli tuskallista, metadonista subutexiin vaikeaa – nyt pitäisi olla kokonaan ilman. James ja Bob ottavat päivän kerrallaan ja James kertoo heidän elämästään vilpittömästi ja hyvään uskoen, huolimatta ympäristön ankeudesta.
James Bowen tuli nuorena, suuria suunnitelmia täynnä 2000-luvun alussa Lontooseen. James sai kuitenkin pian unohtaa muusikkohaaveensa ja hän luisui yhä pahempaan huumekierteeseen. Vasta vastuu kissasta muutti hänen elämänsä. Eläintenystävät alkoivat kiinnittää huomiota rauhalliseen kissaan joka istui katusoittajan jalkojen juuressa. James ja Bob eivät pitkään aikaan tienneet, että heistä oli tullut kuuluisia YouTube-tähtiä, eikä elämä muuttunut kertaheitolla senkään jälkeen kun asia heille selvisi.
James Bowenin ja Bobin elämästä kertova ensimmäinen teos Katukatti Bob (Streetcat Bob) ilmestyi suomeksi keväällä 2014.
