Cute. Sweet story about overcoming inner fears and demons through love. Nicely written albeit very predictable and repetitive.

Romantic, sexy, fast cars, and a billionaire!!. BREATHLESS IN LOVE-- Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully team up to write an incredibly romantic and uplifting story. Will, the self made billionaire with a heart of gold and very bad boy past, will use his charm to get what he wants, even when he doesn't feel he is deserving. Harper, the independent, smart care giver of her younger brother, has spent the last six years keeping herself and her brother in an emotionally protected bubble. Fast cars and undeniable chemistry bring this trio together. A wonderful story about how you can try to do everything right, but it doesn't always mean it continues to be right. Changing for the better means taking a chance. The characters show each other how to take chances, trust, and learn to be better people. Can't wait to read the next story!

4 stars. Likeable characters. Romance with depth. Story has enough tension to be interesting and dynamic, but not so much as to lend a dark, foreboding atmosphere (as some do.) Enjoyable read!

Below Bella Andre's Usual Standard. To say this was a disappointment is an understatement. I don't know if it a product of Ms. Andre's new collaboration or an intentional drift into a genre with less substance and more smut. If you want a thin storyline with redundant subtext and repetitive scenes, this is your book. Yet even the sex scenes (which seems to be the majority of the book) are so poorly constructed as to lose impact. I can't even bring myself to finish this book, and certainly won't bother adding the rest to my library.

Breathless in love. What a heartwarming story. Writing about someone with a disability and being so caring, is worth millions. The love story with Will and Harper is challenging but so sweet. Loved the way it was written, ready to continue with the next story.

Beautiful story. I’m impressed by this book and the knowledge of limitations. I loved the characters and the storyline. The hot billionaire falls in love with a boy who has the mind of a child. The sister is beautiful and sexy and he falls in love with her. He ends up with the perfect family.

Jerk. The guy really didn’t care about Harper. He didn’t even care that he was leading her on, and he knew he was. He didn’t care enough to stop leading Harper on, he only liked her because she was special. Their first encounter was so drawn out because of her stupid brother, who couldn’t take the hint she didn’t want to be around the jerk.

I devoured this. I've read many of Bella's books and loved them. This collaboration exceeds expectations. The Mavericks are an intensely interesting group of men who are family by choice. I loved Will & Harper's story. Neither felt deserving of a loving relationship but both wanted one. I'm counting the days till the next Maverick story comes out.

Thanks!. This is the first book review I’ve ever left. I enjoyed the book a lot in total. What I wanted to comment (happily) is that I enjoyed the characters and how honest the book was about living with, and loving, someone with disabilities. I appreciated the honesty, including how happy one can be and how fulfilling it can make family members lives. Thanks again! I’ll be continuing to learn more about the Mavericks.

Moves slowly. There is nothing fast paced about this book. Everything moved so slowly. I ended up skipping large sections at a time and then skimming until something seemed important. I was surprised because I don’t remember having this issue with Bella Andre books in the past. But I really struggled with this one. Too many details on the first few days in the book timeline. Too much repetition of the same information. I did end up connecting at the end and even tearing up with some of the Harper/Jeremy stuff but I think that was just the mommy in me relating to learning to let my 7yo “fly”.

LOVED it!. First of all, I've read everything by Bella Andre and absolutely fell in love with her books. To be honest, I've never read anything by Jennifer Skully, but I'll definitely be checking her out now! I fell in love with these characters and just wanted to reach into the pages and hug them. Seriously. I don't give recaps of books, because you can read the blurb to get that. I will say that Will.... whew.... delayed gratification and all that. But when things started heating up, they blew off the charts. I can't wait to read more of this series and the Maverick brothers. I really liked how they were introduced throughout the book, so there's already a little backstory waiting for me. I liked the twists and turns in the book and the action was constantly moving things forward. There was never a dull moment anywhere, when I wanted to put the book down, so don't start this one late at night. I loved Jeremy, Harper's little brother. Even he had growth in the story! Amazing!! Definite 5 star read! And the disclaimer: I was given an ARC for an honest review... and this is honest--I LOVED it!!

Breathless in Love. Thank you for the pleasure of reading an ARC COPY of Breathless In Love. I believe this going to be an awesome series. The Mavericks are a group of billionaires that started with nothing. Grew up in an bad neighborhood. I loved this book, Will's story is so emotional. He is dealing with some really serious stuff from his past, that he feels he not worthy of love until he meets Harper who has had her own set of tragedies in her life. Through their fears they eventually give in to each other for Love. And please do not let me leave out her younger brother Jeremy who was a definite bright spot. Awesome story unpredictable, unexpected suspense, hold on to your heart, feels so real as you read it. My only regret is I have to wait for the next one. Perfect title.

Breathless in Love Faster-Faster-Faster. Breathless in Love by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully Narrated by Eva Kaminsky Five Stars This is the first book in the Maverick Billionaires Series. This is also the first book I have listened to by either of these authors. I’m hooked. This was such a feel good listen. I can’t wait to hear the other brothers stories. Eva Kaminsky is an awesome narrator. Her voice is really easy to listen to. I felt like I was right there with the characters. All around excellent experience!

Breathless in Live. Interesting story with great coverage of those with disabilities.

Will and Harper are perfect for each other. I really enjoyed Breathless in Love, the first book in the Maverick Billionaires series. This is also the second book I've read recently that was co-written, and I think its a great concept and have enjoyed seeing a mix of styles when authors work together. In Breathless in Love, we meet two complicated characters in Harper and Will. Harper spends a lot of time worrying about station - hers, the men she's interested in, and others in her life. Meanwhile, Will has everything Harper thinks she despises, but doesn't act like he does. What's normal for him is so out of the realm of normal for her, its almost unreal. Despite his enormous wealth, Will seems very down to earth to me and I think that's due to his internalization of how he started in life and his insistence on not returning to that life. I don't think he needs his tattoo to remind him of who is was and where he came from. His background drives his enormous need to protect everyone around him. QUOTE: "In that moment, as he held her tight in her arms and she held him right back, Will vowed to do everything in his power to prove he could be good for her as well. He wouldn't let her down." There are so many parallels in this book between Harper's life and speed, and cars. I believe she's feeling her life slipping away from her quickly, and her fears over speed brought on by her brother's accident have manifested themselves into slowing down her life - Jeremy's development, her relationships, everything. Its like she wants to STOP time. Whereas, Will's life is always on fast forward. Its as if he's always running away from himself and he has to do it as quickly as possible. I think part of his fascination with cars is due to his history with stealing cars and ultimately the event that changed his life,which also involved a car. So, for both Harper and Will, speed plays an important part of their lives, but in opposite ways. You wouldn't think they'd be suited for each other as a result of that, but they are. I think Harper helps Will to slow down and see how he is NOW, not through the lens of his past; and Will helps Harper to see that "full speed ahead" shouldn't mean fear for her - but that she should embrace her and Jeremy's futures. Despite Will's need to run away from what he believes is is "true self", he feels nothing but confidence in his feelings for Harper. QUOTE: "I think I've been in love with her from the first moment I saw her standing outside my hangar with her brother, so protective, so beautiful, so strong." ~Will I really enjoyed the character development in Breathless in Love. Harper and Will have depth and Jeremy's character, mentally disabled from an accident, is so wonderfully depicted that I feel like I can SEE him waving hi with his entire body, and speaking entirely too loud at the wrong times. Bella and Jennifer do a wonderful job of weaving together a story that has you laughing and crying and fearful right along with the characters in the story. I also like that while there is angst at the climax of the story, this book doesn't follow the typical "break up", "reconsider", "get back together" scenario. Harper does take time to deal with what had happened to Jeremy, but she is quick to realize that Will wasn't to blame, and her own fears are creating an environment detrimental to her and Jeremy. She is quick to come to this realization and while Will expects for Harper to blame him, as he blames himself, she is quick to reaffirm her feelings for Will and how she wants a future with him. QUOTE: "You were once a little boy who didn't have anyone to take care of him, and now you're a man who always takes care of everyone around you. You make us all better people just by being in our lives." ~Harper In typically Bella Andre fashion, the book gives us an Epilogue that brings closure to Harper and Will's story, but opens the door to the next story in the Maverick Billionaires series. I look forward to reading about the rest of the Mavericks, brothers of the heart and alpha men! Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A Story About Family and Being Worthy. Bella has scored another hit. I'll also have to check out Jennifer's other books. This story showed people for who they are and not to judge people by their past or their limitations. There is a lesson in there for everyone. It also showed that family isn't limited to blood relations. Bravo! I look forward to the next book.

Unlikable Heroine. She was so judgmental, thinking that she was above everybody, knew everything. By the end of the book, I absolutely hated the heroine. Would not recommend. I agree with several of the other reviews, this does not read like a regular Andre novel.

Breathless in love. What a good read! ! This is my first with both authors and looking forward to the rest of the series.

Loved it!. You have to love this love story! It’s pages take you through heartbreak over the characters but also their triumph in the end. The getting there is hard, requires trust, and full of ups and downs.

Book 1-- Will and Harper. The first book of a family series. I love Bella's style of writing and story telling. I would definitely recommend his book and I am on to boo 2-Enjoy!

Harper, Will’s love interest, is a devoted sister of her younger 18 year old brother. Jeremy had previously been hit by a car & in a coma. Now, six years later, Harper has arranged and devoted her life to her brother. However, Jeremy wrote a letter to Will, admiring his rare car collection and is invited to visit the collection. That is when Harper and Will first meet. He immediately realizes he must trend slowly with her and Harper notices how kind & patient Will is with Jeremy. Eventually love blossoms and Harper makes decisions after Will has proclaimed his sincere feelings. In the end, Will is truly her “road warrior.” -Jan Repath

Couldn’t put it down!. I had this book for a while but hadn’t read it. And now I’m lamenting the time I lost !! Loved loved loved Will and Harper. And the bond between Jeremy and Will. This was a great introduction to the Mavericks and their friendship! While these can all be read as stand alone books, after reading this book I was torn between reading it again and going through the rest of the books first!! And I’m binging through the entire series!! Outstanding!

Wow. I can't believe Bella Andre wrote this. It was so boring. It's been done a million times before but so much better. I'm such a huge fan of her books but this was really boring I skipped the whole book just to see what happens with her brother he was a lot more interesting than the main characters.

Sweet Romance. Will is a self-made man with a painful past that not only helped form who he is, but acts as a weight that prevents him from moving on from it and becoming a whole, healthy person. Harper and her brother have a tight-knit bind that makes him want to be a part of their lives. But Harper has lived to be responsible to care for her brother following a disabling accident. If she gives up that control and let’s a man in, not only could she lose herself, but it could break her brother’s heart. Will is determined to make their lives right and maybe, just maybe, find a way to feel worthy enough to own their love. Personally, I didn’t understand why he didn’t feel worthy of being loved, but guilt and shame are liars that we believe. I loved the value the author put on the unconditional love of family. It has a sweet ending and one cannot help but to want to see the side characters (family) find their own happiness.
