Rick Riordan has done it again!. This books series is as great as his Percy Jackson books, except it has the Egyptian gods instead of the Greeks. Carter Kane, and his British rebel sister Sadie, are kids who got separated from each other after their mom's death. But their life gets turned upside down when Carter and his father visit Sadie, who lives in London with their grandparents. Their father gets kidnapped, and they're taken in by their uncle Amos. Carter and Sadie soon discover that the are descended from the pharohs. And not only that, but they're also hosting the gods Horus and Isis, and soon find themselves in a conflict that could end the world! I highly recommend it for fans of Percy Jackson, or like action, adventure, and mythology. Rick Riordan is truly a genius.

Great book.. So first, I read the reviews for this book and decided to read it. Definitely worth my ten dollars. I loved the Percy Jackson series so decided to take this a try. It's nothing like the Percy Jackson series. Which is good in my opinion. I literally can't put the book down. One of the best books ever!!

ARE ANY OF RICK RIORDAN’S BOOK NOT GOOD?!. Okay so I finished the Percy Jackson series and I’m like, “What now?” The answer was clear. More Rick Riordan. I saw The Red Pyramid at my school’s library and at first I doubted I would like it. I had tried reading it in 4th grade, then stopped after the fifth page. Probably cause of something stupid like the lack of color on the cover. Now I’m glad I read it. I’m not gonna lie, it wasn’t as good as Percy Jackson, but The Red pyramid had a bit of Percy Jackson charm to it, also with exciting characters and humor. I like how it switches from Sadie to Carter back and forth. I kind of hate Sadie though (SHE ACTS JUST LIKE ME😂) but she’s also kind of hilarious. Can’t wait to read the second book!

Ok. This book was really interesting for the first chapters but you loose interest.

A must read!!!. I haven't finished it yet but I'm on chapter 32 and OH MY GOSH all I want to do is read more and more. When I read the first chapter by my self I didn't understand it but then I went to youtube and typed in "the red pyramid chapter 1" The parts aren't the chapters. The book is split up in to two parts. The two parts combined are about 14hours. So where ever I stop I write it on my bookmark!

the cool book. These classic rick books make you want to go out and explore.*The summary of the book is about a brother and sister (who are separated one lives in the U.K and one travels with dad) so in short these kids get tangled up in ancient egypt mythology and discover their family connection with the worlds powerful cilivilazation.This book is great one if you have read percy jackson (another good book) and love ancient stories or myths. *#No spoilers

Kane Chronicles :The Red Pyrimid. Not as good as PJO but still a wonderful adventure story with its funny moments.I haven't read it on IBooks so I have no clue about it opening up and stuff, but I have loved this story and it's sequels.It is the first in a AWESOME trilogy

Very nice. it would be something if the godlings met the demi gods. i see it happening. but what on earth would make them have to team up. i get the feeling the two factions gods wouldnt get along at all. I see a war break out between them. maybe it comes to the goldlings and the demi gods to stop them. but in any case this book was great. i loved it just as much as the percy Jackson series.

Wow. I love this book. You might think because it is overshadowed by the Percy Jackson series that it is not as good. NOT the case. Sure, Percy Jackson was really funny, and a good read, but this books is awesome too with a totally different vibe. I personally think Rick Riordan is brilliant for harnessing the fascinating worlds of Greek, Egyptian, Norse, and Roman mythology, and putting them into modern day. I liked how he toggled back and forth in between Sadie and Carter's voices. I liked the whole 'estranged siblings' thing. He did a great job at explaining the confusing parts of Egyptian mythology, like why suddenly Isis is Horus's mother and sister, and Osiris' sister AND husband. He also had a captivating plot and really awesome spells.

A TOTAL MUST READ. Not only is than extrotinary good book, with cliff-hangers that will lure you to read on, but Rick Riordan has written a book based on egyptian mythology ( cool!!!!!!!!!!!). I love the action and humor, as well as the touch of romance. After I read this book, I absoloutly fell in love with egyptian mythology, and Amos is right egyptian history is a lot wider and jucier than Greek mythology. Mostly though I love the charactors, Saddie Kane is the funniest charactor I have read in a story. Carter not so much... but he is the brave one. I love, I really do so anybody who loves mythology, and humor (read this book!!!!!!)

Shame. The book is great. Only if you read 16 bad chapters first.

Boring.. This story was boring! They used portals to extend the plot and the ending was stupid. Don't read the Kane chronicles. Read the lunar chronicles.

A really good book. This book was really interesting to read. I really liked Sadie and Carter’s character and their relationships with each other. I’m not the biggest fan of the Anubis and Sadie ship, because it is a bit weird, but I really liked Zia, and I’m curious to see what will happen when Carter finds the real zia.
