Powerful in its simplicity. I read this book during my lunch break at work and felt so refreshed after each reading that I didn't need coffee to get me through the second half of my shift... And I worked 12 hours sometimes 16 hour night shifts

What I know for sure. PI believe that after reading I will get better with time

What Monica Knows for Sure...Well so Far. I only read the introduction and first few pages, and I realized I needed to ask myself, "What I know for sure." If you "flounder or flourish" it's all on you. So far, the book has a few themes we all know, but normalizing those themes with her life makes it palatable. It doesn't appear like it will be full of hokey mantras. Maybe it's my season to read what she has to say, but I can't wait to read more!! I'll review again after I read it entirely.

Like a big mommah hug. Every page is like a nice afternoon chat with Ms Oprah, this book is a great source of joy and reinforced perspective. Thank you Maam Winfrey!

What I Know for sure. This is a kind book. From my eyes. Beginning of 2013 I lost my husband suddenly. My baby brother suddenly that July. My nephew bright me the Achlamist to read at this broken time. I've been lost for 2 years. I've had many life lessons... Loosing parents young, we lost our home to a fire. But first time alone responsible for my own happiness. I use courage every day. Thank you Oprah! Go! Me!

Universal Life Lessons Oprah Style. I was tempted to write this review after reading another review in which the reviewer bashes Oprah for being rich. This book is universal and its words can enrich the lives of anyone who chooses to heed her wisdom. Yes, the book is written by Oprah so it's obviously from her perspective. So she's rich--who cares? Anyone who thinks money is the answer to happiness should keep searching his or her soul for something more fulfilling. Despite hardships, which we all experience, life is what you make it. Plain and simple. Her book is part self-help, part self-discovery, part catharsis--Oprah style.

For the Privileged. This book is so self absorbed. Who is she writing to? certainly not to the common person who slaves through each day to just feed the family and pay the bills. What she knows is absolutely useless to people who will never have their afternoon chai or conversations with the rich and privileged. I would like to see her list if she was dirt poor and scratching out a living...Her advice is for the .01%

Highlights and Insights... Purchased on a Tuesday. Finished on Thursday night. So many great messages back to back that my copy looks like a coloring book full of yellow, blue, purples, green, and red underlines. A very easy read where you can't help but to hear her voice speaking a life time of wisdom into your spirit.

"What I know for sure.". Is that I enjoyed this book. Anyone can read and easily grasp its content, not filled with literary jargons that might throw some off--straight to the point, informative, educative. Learn from the Master, Oprah has used her life as a template, an example on how we can live our lives realizing our fullest potential, despite all things, becoming the perfect example for some who might think they are limited by gender or color of their skin, Oprah has single-handedly transcended every barrier to life you can think of and still at the top of her game. We all ought to learn a thing or two from her.

What I know for sure. This book has opened my eyes to a new focal point in my life. I no longer need to interrogate myself into thinking that I am un happy because of my weight issues. In fact I change my perspective on my weight and embrace my fullness. Thank you.

Thoughtful and Universal. I keep this audio book in my car and play it when I need a lift or to come back to my center. Her advice is universal; she has come from being a poor young girl in the South and through sheer perseverance and a zillion lessons, she is now a self made empire. We all have much to learn from this generous soul who discusses topics such as friendship, living beyond your financial means and staying open enough to learn the lessons the universe is trying to teach. This book is a five star experience. I consume it in small bites.

Very good read. The book was very informative and helps you take a step back and evaluate your life. I feel a sense of being refreshed and strive to make positive changes in my life and my loved ones since reading this book. It is a quick read but filled with quality advice that everyone can use in their everyday life.

What I Know For Sure..wow!. This book hit me right where I was at the perfect moment which I believe was no accident. Oprah has such wisdom and has thankfully shared that with me on these pages. I could not put it down and will immediately read it again. Thank you, once again, for making a difference which is what you were called to do. Job well done, you good and faithful servant. Wow!

Book- What I know for sure. The book was an absolutely AWESOME, inspiring, motivational read! I couldn't wait to pick it up daily to get the wisdom nuggets Oprah gave in each Chapter. I never read books twice but this one is defiantly a must read again! Thanks Oprah for your transparency, wisdom and years of dedication to humanity❤️

Life Changing. I'm sad that this book is over this book literally CHANGED MY LIFE!!!!! Newly divorced with a 2 year old daughter... Mothering full time, Working full time, and running a business full time! I needed time out for myself to renew and refresh my soul and this BLESSED MY SOUL ABUNDANTLY! I've always loved Oprah and wanted to be on her show one day--I just felt a connection with her and this made that feeling stronger! Blessed! Life changing! What I know for sure is God has blessed Oprah with a gift and I'm Grateful to God for her and her wisdom!

Guiding Light. It is humbling to read Oprah's "What I know For Sure." I have never met Oprah or even seen her show. I know of her & even though she does not know of me - I know we are connected. She speaks from the heart a truth so deep anyone who has a heart (thank goodness I'm not excluding anyone here) can relate to. That means everyone has the ability to be a shinning light for women, for man, for creatures of all sorts, for humans. We all have the opportunity to be the best versions of ourselves & to be a guiding light for those around us. It's quite a responsibility but one we are meant to take on. Someone once told me "You're not afraid of how much you will fail but instead afraid of how powerful you are & great you can be." I struggle with that still but mostly because I know it to be true but doubt it at the same time as I doubt myself. We are great all of us we just need to make the choice to take the candle to guide the way, shine light on truth, kindness & love so those around us who have forgotten will be re-reminded of what they already know in their heart but forget because we lose our way... Thank you Oprah for being a guiding light for us all, it is a courageous path that takes trust, knowing & faith - in Spirit, in people & mostly in ourselves.

boring. so disappointed by this. i thought it was a memoir. just a bunch of random one page stories that are actually incoherent. oprah, you’re so much better than this junk. i want my money back .

Spirit lifting!. This book has opened my mind heart and spirit. It has made me aware that there is something way bigger than myself out there and that my life has a purpose which I must fulfill. Oprah's personal stories and view on life makes you wonder, search, be aware of all the possibilities and most of all give thanks.

What I know for sure.... This book had so many parallels to my life such as striving to live a spiritual life and having aborted religion, growing up in the south and raised under southern baptist religion, being that little girl sitting on the first pew because my grandfather was the preacher, believing that I had to marry my children’s father because I was pregnant with his child out of wedlock, the disappointment of working like a dog to prove that I am worth it to supervisors who did not appreciate my worth, going through a divorce that my mom didn’t know about until I disclosed it after physically separating from my husband because I knew that she wasn’t ready for my truth, playing the role of having the perfect family and marriage only to bury the deadness that I felt inside, and this is only to name a few experiences... I could go on but I won’t. I’m just realizing that this isn’t a therapy session...lol! However, I felt like Oprah was speaking to me personally as it related to many of her life experiences because I either experienced these things or currently experiencing them. I feel as if this book reflects who I am presently, in the past, as well as who I strive to be in my future. I’m appreciative of Oprah’s transparency and I feel guidance in the words and wisdom that was shared. The crazy thing about this is that I purchased this book a couple of years ago and had not finished but 1/4 of it only to pick it up 3 days ago to come to its end and it never lost my interest. Not that it did before however, I believes that all things occur when they are supposed to. Maybe I’m more receptive now and not only that in a different space that’s ready for change. I’m ready for newer and better things. I’m also excited about reading more of Oprah’s work....You may not be in the pulpit Oprah but you’re still preaching just as you did while you were in grade school.
