Shattered Past. Absolutely fantastic book! I couldn't put it down. It reads well as a stand alone book or as a continuation of the series. The author has a way of making characters relatable and likable, even the grumpy ones. Dragons, paleontologists, and muscle-y men, oh myyyyy! ;)

Very good, as usual.. As with the majority of her books, Boroker spins a competent yarn. Calling in the usual suspects as population, she adds a likable new protagonist, a long awaited enrichment of her back story and believable depth of character to a former chess piece. All of this upholds her status a a fine working writer who continues in the vein of Alexandre Domas. "Buckle your Swash, it's going to be a bumpy ride!"

Another great read!. I love this series! Characters are well developed and interesting. Back stories are woven into each new book so we can understand why the characters act the way the do. And besides, where else can you ride on a dragon?

Love is for everyone!. Even grumpy, hard nosed Colonels! I thoroughly enjoyed this look into the life of Colonel Therrick! And the introduction of a new character in the Dragon Blood series... also learning more about what happened to Sardell’s ancestors...great read!!

Read this book twice. Just scrolling through my collection of iBooks and stopped here and reread the book. Very rollicking entertaining, and interesting.

Soul Blade. I thoroughly enjoyed this whole series. The characters are well developed and a lot of fun. This creation of a whole other world and social order is no mean task. The plot was of course a bit heavy on the "battle side", but overall was well balanced, detailed and I enjoyed the search for historical answers. I will be sad if this is the last book in this series. I also read the last one about Therrick and Lilia. Great job.

Good read. Would’ve rated it a 5* but the storyline seemed a bit unrealistic with Therrick and Lilah Etc to bring a new heroine out and then make her like a easy to seduce one for me was off putting. Also the continued hatred of Magic by Therrick is getting on a bit. Hopefully book 8 Etc will be better.

Fantastic. Another of the book in the series. Cannot wait for more to come. Hopeful more to come. Please write some more, it would be nice to see what happens to the King. It would be nice to see what happens between pimples and Zai. There must be more good stories to come. There are so many people in the story to write about.thanks Shirley Benjafield.

old frienemies and new. This series is a roaring good read. Can’t wait for the next installment. In this book we finally get an explanation of the colonel’s anger issues, a look at the reasons behind the fall of the sorcerer race and a lovely cameo from the dragon ‘god’. I can’t help wishing that at least one of the dragon wolves had survived: perhaps in a “nature finds a way” puppy?

Four and a half stars. This book appears to be the conclusion of the Dragon Blood series. It mainly concerns Colonel Therrik, who has appeared in several of the earlier stories. Therrik is still stuck on an unwanted assignment, in charge of the prison mine in the Ice Blade mountains. Dragon bones are discovered while trying to excavate a new mine entrance. The powers that be decide to send a Palaeontologist to investigate the remains and to Therrik's dismay, this is an attractive female but undeniablely a relative to his nemesis Ridge.

Shattered Past. As usual Lindsay Buroker's tale is satisfying on many levels. Immersion in the story is easy and the characters realistic. It was enjoyable meeting familiar individuals as well as new. I read this book in less than a day. It is just as well that Lindsay is a prolific writer!
