Siren (A Kate Redman Mystery: Book 9) Book Reviews
Siren (A Kate Redman Mystery: Book 9) by Celina Grace Book Summary
Simon Farraday was a respectable business man; successful, wealthy and with a loving wife and family. He was also heavily into sadomasochistic sex with virtual strangers, judging by the manner of his brutal, squalid murder.
Detective Sergeant Kate Redman could do without the complexities of this case, coping as she is with trying to maintain her long-distance relationship with her boyfriend Tin, deal with her recurrent attraction to her boss DCI Anderton and support her friend DI Mark Olbeck in his efforts to adopt a child. But investigating a case with such dark undercurrents of desire and jealousy means that the solution to the mystery may hit just a little too close to home…
Siren is the ninth book in the bestselling series The Kate Redman Mysteries, from crime writer Celina Grace.

A favorite. One of my fav DS Redman books
Siren. I love it when the mystery is not solved till the end.
Requiem. I thoroughly enjoyed this book plus Siren, Hushabye and Imago. I look forward to reading more if your books in the future. I'm glad you finally got Kate and Anderson together.
Another fine mystery. I have enjoyed each of the three Kate Redmond mysteries I have read very much indeed. The characters are all thoughtfully drawn, each with strengths and weaknesses, and the mysteries are involved and difficult enough to be really savored. Kate is complicated and engaging. I will be continuing with the series.
Love The Series!. DS Kate Redman is an awesome character!
Siren. Good mystery good read. Will read on.
Siren. Celina Grace has, once again, done a marvelous job of writing a down to earth, suspenseful book. I love her books, and especially D. S. Redmond.
Another great Kate Redman book. I enjoy this series so much. The characters are so well developed, human, and believable. Plots are unique. I hope there are many more.
Siren. Sometimes it seemed it took the police too long to pick up on clues that were patently obvious..... Dorothy's dementia was obvious during interview and as soon as it was known it should have immediately brought the alibi into check.
Best of the series thusfar. As many reviewers will note, *Siren* is the 9th book in the Kate Redman series. As we have come to expect, the book involves a satisfyingly convoluted mystery, some fairly realistic police work (at least good enough to fool us average readers), and some even more realistic interplay between a cast of characters we have come to know and care about. If you haven't read the series from the first book on, you really should. They're quick reads, relatively inexpensive (the first one in fact is free), and together they provide a facinating story line following the life of a flawed but likeable professional woman. *Siren* in particular reveals some substantial personal growth in Kate as she handles her casework and the hard knocks that apparently constitute her personal life with distinctly more maturity than before. She still makes some seriously questionable choices, and often questions them herself, but she's clearly doing better - at least until the case she is working once again slams her flat at the climax. As a matter of full disclosure, I will note that I do receive advanced copies of the author's books with an obligation to provide honest reviews when they publish. However, I also buy them in paperback form once they becomes available, which I think is a significant pocketbook endorsement.
“Siren”. Another thought provoking mystery!! Kate Redman’s keen mind and attention to detail always seems to solve the crime. However, many details crop up before things start falling into place. These well developed, devoted members of the Abbey- ford police force are always prepared to solve the mystery. It may take some doing, but a real-page-turner it is!!
Siren. I didn’t realize this was number 9. I enjoyed the ploy twists and hoe Kate’s mind works. Good logic and gut reactions. I have yo go find number 1 and meet everyone from the beginning
Siren. A little bit of romance and a lot of mystery. What twisted minds people have and how they can rationalize things "for the love of the children". Really enjoyed this book and will get others in the Kate Redman series.

Keeps you guessing. Another brilliantly written book. I love reading this series, the books keep you gripped to the very end. I really enjoy seeing the more personal side to the characters and how the relationships have evolved during each book. The twists and turns of the crimes keep you guessing all the way through.
Another fabulous Kate Redman story. Clever plot and a twist in the tale, as well as some resolution on the romantic front for Kate. It’s good that you can read this as a stand-alone piece, but even better if you have read all of the series.

Siren. I've just discovered DS Redman novels and over the past 2 weeks I have read them all. My only criticism would be that they are too short. British crime at its best - you will enjoy them.
Enjoyable read. Wellwritten with a great twist
Siren. Liked this one easy to read and not too long. Missielea
Loved Kate Redman. Thoroughly enjoyed this story, great main characters and couldn’t put it down!
Good read. A good read, I am looking forward to reading the rest in the series.
Weak Plot. Opening out of Synch with the end and I hope the real police are not as incompetent as the ones portrayed in this book
