Thrilling and heart wrenching. I was not sure what to expect when I read the excerpt for this book. I was afraid it would be the "same ole same ole" that you frequently see in these types of novels. Let me tell you how WRONG I was to make that assumption. The characters and story builds so well and just when you think you are on the downhill slide and you know what is going to happen another twist comes and knocks you down. I am in love with this book and I honesty hope that the following books are just as riveting as the beginning. 5 stars for an awesome start! Can't wait to read more!!!

Story pulled me in deep. I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I have read by Jessie Lane, but it won't be the last! The characters are very real and their story kept me up until I could finish it. The secondary characters and the strong relationships gave a substance to the book that many lack. I particularly like that the heroine, Belle, is such a strong woman who has been through a lot in her life, but has come through her trials a stronger, finer woman. It takes a while for them to realize the mistakes that they both have made, but they finally get their HEA.

Must Read. Secret Maneuvers by Jessie Lane was a suspense filled story. Bobby and Bella work to regain the relationship that they had years ago. Will time heal the wounds or will secrets keep them apart?

Secret Maneuvers. I was given this book by the author in exchange for an honest review. This book hooked me in the first few paragraphs...something about it just pulled me in and didn't let go. Grab your tissues... This book is about Bobby & Annabelle. First loves-promises of forever-their jobs causing them to be reunited and face their past mistakes and decisions -learning to trust again-failing-forgiveness. It had me on a roller coaster of emotions. It is a must read. Can not wait to crack open the next book in this series!

Amazing!. I have been totally happy with the Jessie Lane books I have read so far. This one is just amazing! These characters are totally believable and I felt as tho they came to life! There is the right amount of suspense , action and drama that makes this story just move along seamlessly. It's a romance story but there is nothing boring about it! Totally worth a weekend read! I have been given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I want the next books in the series now. My first thoughts as I write this review is I want the next books in the series now! A new covert Spec Ops group series with plenty of action and men to drool over. Bobby and Belle were each from different sides of the tracks growing up. But that didn’t stop Bobby from pursuing her and winning her heart their senior year of high school. Belle had a horrible home life that Bobby promised to take her away from as soon as he was done with basic training. But instead of coming back to get her like he promised he sent her breakup letter which devastated her. Now fifteen years later Bobby works for a covert Spec Ops group. He still regrets what he did fifteen years ago but has been unable to locate Belle. There latest mission has them teaming up with the ATF in Texas and imagine Bobby’s surprise when Belle is one of the agents and she won’t even give him the time of day. The emotions that run throughout this book are high. Bobby first has a lot of groveling to do but Belle has quite the secret of her own which has Bobby going off the deep end and adding to the list of things he is going to have to grovel for later. There are plenty of great secondary characters – the other men in Bobby’s unit all play of big part in this book and you can see where there future stories are set up for their books. There are more but I think that would be too much of a spoiler so you need to read the book to find out who they are. There is also an arc started in this one on human trafficking that I am assuming will be continued on through the series. I am looking forward to Riley’s story next.

Couldn't put it down. The beginning had me good. Who doesn't like a strong woman who pulls herself out of the dark, that is exactly what Belle does. This book had me on the edge of my seat, laughing and sometimes crying. One rash decision made in a moment of panic has a long lasting impact on Belle and Bobby. A love that cannot be forgotten or ignored. Secret Maneuvers will not leave you disappointment but craving for more.

Couldn’t stop reading this book. Great depth in characters, fast paced, can’t wait to read more from this author.

First Read, Now Hooked. I must admit, the cover art drew me to the story, but the characters kept me reading. I usually don't like 'second chance' type stories with all the past angst, but Jessie did an excellent job and kept me interested. So much so, in fact, that I am getting ready to buy the rest! Can't wait to read them!!

Real emotions...Finally!. Secret Maneuvers is a great love story between Booby an Ex Ops agent and Bella the ATF agent who's past is entertwined by a secret. Heart break tore them apart and fate brings them back together. Will this secret bring them together for their happily ever after or tear them apart forever? This book was the first book in a long while that I have read that had the real emotion to back it up. The love,hurt,anger,and the joy. You won't be disappointed in Jessica Lane's writing. I can't wait to read the next book!!

No thanks. Nope, I love a good romance but this wasn’t it. Plot was too fast, weirdly obsessed with describing her body, and the way the male MC would describe her as his belonging I think was meant to be sexy but just came off as really creepy. Stopped reading it halfway through maybe it gets better but I’m not about to find out.

Love this book!. Such a great mixture of action, suspense, comedy, and romance I, literally, couldn't put it down!

Great book. This book was a great series starter. But even better it was a good read and normally I don't like the first book in a series.

Great read. Captivating

Wow a total page turner. I was very lucky to receive a copy for my honest review so here goes.... I have literally just sat for the last several hours and read, I could not put this down! My heart broke for Belle, I hated Bobby along with her while secretly just wanting them to get the family and love they so rightfully deserved. A love that spans 15 years, secrets and young lovers thinking they are doing the right thing for the person they love, total heartbreak but working around their dangerous jobs to bring down an evil cartel our hero and heroine do finally find their way back to each other. So looking forward to the next book, thank you so much Jessie Lane
