Finally!!!. Like Lorelei Jmaes said, Sierra and Boone's love story as worth the wait. Everything you love about her stories can be found in this one! I loved it from beginning to end! As a fan of all of her work, I was sad that the Rough Riders came to an end, so I am beyond ecstatic that this series will continue their legacy!

Worth the wait. However I fortunately didn't wait as long as others. I came to love all books by Lorelei just about 2 years ago. But I must say I'm caught up now, so I'm feeling the anxiety of the next great read!

❤️Boone and Sierra!! Great start to the legacy series!. I loved this book. I have been patiently awaiting this book for over 3 years and I was not disappointed. Boone West is a great hero. He wanted to try and grow to where he felt he could love Sierra the way she deserved. Sierra had her heart broken by Boone and just wasn't wanting to be hurt again. She tried to refuse his attempts at romance. But she couldn't. I loved getting to see the younger McKays and am anxiously awaiting their stories. They are great secondary characters for Boone and Sierra's love story. I love how Lorelei just writes a real love story. As we all know, it's not all perfect all the time. Lorelei writes what I refer to as real, true to life,love stories. No simpering heroine or whiney hero, just two people trying to make their way through this crazy life and finding love along the way. This is part of a series but it can be read as a standalone. I do highly recommend the Rough Rider series but this can be read and understood without them. Thank you Lorelei for another great, hot love stor

Worth the wait!. I've been reading romance long enough to know that sometimes those books that are the most highly anticipated, those that loyal readers can't wait for, can be disappointing. Expectations are high, and each reader has their own idea of how the story should play out. I'm always a little nervous reading one of these books. Lorelei James’ fans have been waiting for Sierra and Boone’s story for 3 ½ years, and it's finally here!! All my angst and worry was completely unnecessary--there's not a single disappointing thing about Unbreak My Heart! Boone and Sierra exceeded my expectations, and then some! Seven years have passed since we first met the pair in Gone Country, and lots has happened since then. The grown up versions of Boone and Sierra are just as appealing, maybe more so, than the teenage versions. I loved finding out more about Boone’s early life, and getting to know the man he has grown into. He's smart, driven, funny, and sweet. I love that Lorelei’s characters have flaws, doubts, and vulnerabilities; they're so much more authentic and relatable. His feelings for Sierra could melt the coldest of hearts. I knew these two would be amazing together, and they truly are.Young Sierra could be bratty at times, and so can grown-up Sierra, but she's become a savvy, successful, confident young woman, with a great sense of humor and a very big heart. I loved, loved, loved seeing Kyler, Anton, Hayden, even AJ’s nephew, Mase as college-aged men. A new generation of McKay men set loose on the female population--I can't wait to see what they get up to in this new Rough Riders Legacy series. If they're anything lIke their fathers and uncles, we’ll be entertained for years to come!

Another Awesome Book from Lorelei James. Loved it!!!! The long wait for this book was SO worth it!!! Boone & Sierra needed that time to grow up. Which made their adult relationship stronger and more secure. I loved the point in the book when Sierra realized Boone leaving her was for the best even though it broke her heart. Can't wait to see more of the McKay-kateers. Lorelei James offers a quirky sense of humor that I always look forward. Another awesome book from Lorelei James. Worth the wait :). Readers of The Rough Riders series have been waiting over four years to read Boone and Sierra's story, and I think it was worth the wait! I loved seeing them as adults (along with some McKay cousins) and how they navigate continuing a relationship that they started building as teenagers.

What a Great Start to a Fabulous New Series!. Holy moly... Finally! I have waited so long for this book, none too patiently I might add. It was soooooo worth the wait! Thank you Lorelei James for writing this awesome book, and for putting up with us asking you for it ever since you first introduced us to Sierra and Boone. What a phenomenal couple! These characters have stood the test of time and just gotten better. They're so intense and sincere and so incredibly real. You just can't help but be drawn completely into the story. I've fallen in love with the Rough Riders characters, and now with those of this new Rough Riders Legacy series. I would highly recommend this first book, and can't wait to see what else is ahead for the series.

Unbreak My Heart by Lorelei James. What can I say about a story we've waited on for three and a half years? Boone and Sierra... combustible, tortuous and absolutely amazing! Unbreak My Heart fulfills all expectations! The snippets of the past entwined with the current gave us more insight into what Boone and Sierra had been through in their relationship, before and now. The glimpses of the McKay-kateers give us something to look forward to in this new series! *ARC provided by the author, but that has not influenced my review.*

Worth the wait. I received an ARC for an honest review. We were introduced to Sierra and Boone as high schoolers in Lorelei James' Gone Country. Now, it's about seven years later and both are grown up. Boone is still in the military and Sierra is working for her dad's company. She brings the feisty McKay spirit and he brings the stubborn West. Throw in the McKay-ateers, Kyler, Anton and Hayden as college students carrying on the McKay rep and being just as nosy the previous generation with their own advice for Boone, plus Sierra and Boone's best friends Lu and Raj providing their own side show of fun and hotness. Unbreak My Heart was well worth the wait!

Unbreak my heart. Actually purchased this and I never do that. Was disappointed characters didn't seem real to me dialogue contrived. I have most of l James RR series and liked them.

Rough Rider Legacy. Love, love, love the new book. It was everything and more that I have come to expect from a Lorelei James book. I have waited patiently and I will admit sometimes impatiently, for this book to come out. I was not disappointed in the outcome and feel that is well worth the wait. But then again Lorelei's books are always well written and highly anticipated. Would love to see more in this series as well as the blacktop cowboy series. Love them cowboys!

Wonderful story! Worth the wait!!. To Sierra Daniels McKay, Boone West was a teenage dream, the perfect boy-friend but without any of the benefits. He was a little bit older, rough around the edges, but had a good heart. Boone left Sierra behind to enter the Army when he was 19 years old and she was 16. Their feelings for each other were deep, yet so innocent and if you've ever experienced teenage love in your youth, their story will strike a deep chord. For me, I looked forward to this story because their chemistry and circumstances were so real and unique. So beautifully told. This story begins with a very unexpected reunion between Sierra and Boone. Sierra resists at first, but Boone is so irresistible that you want her walls to crumble so they can be together. When they finally do, it is nothing short of panty combusting. Lorelei James has done something that is really tough to do and that is to completely and irrevocably live up to the expectations placed upon a story. As a reader, to relish in every kiss and intimacy shared between characters is the hallmark of great romantic storytelling. There are many layers to this story and yet it is so sweet and simple. I loved that Sierra was so strong and didn't take any crap from the men in her life and spoke her truth to power and yet was such a goner for Boone. She held his feet to the fire, for sure, but she also relished being with her man and they were so great together. Boone just made my heart melt! After overcoming a rough childhood, Boone has made something of himself and he's come to get his woman. He was so caring and attentive and strong and vulnerable. He declared his intentions to Sierra from the start and gave himself completely to their relationship and it was such a joy to read. I'm guessing many who pick up this book are doing so because they've read the outstanding Rough Rider series where we encounter Boone and Sierra for the first time, but if you haven't, you can read this novel as a standalone. Just keep in mind that it would be so much more poignant if you understand the world these characters come from. There's depth and richness to this story all on its own and it is a perfect kick-off to the Legacy series.

Loved Sierra & Boone's Story. I loved this book! I was a little skeptical when the genre was listed as NA, but no worries because Ms. James delivers. I thought the character development was amazing. I loved the witty dialogue, steamy scenes, and dual point of view. Sure, the characters have stumbling blocks, but that's what I love about them. I definitely wanted more in the epilogue, but there's hope to peek in on Sierra and Boone in future books to come! It was worth the wait!

Totally worth the wait!!. I was very excited to read Sierra and Boone's story. I first fell in love with them in Gone Country from the Rough Rider collection. While I did fall in love with them there I have to say all my expectations were blown away with this book. I don't read a lot of new adult books due to the unnecessary angst so I was very happy with this story! Their attraction from high school was stronger and hotter when they reconnected 7 years later. I love all of Lorelei James' books because of the amazing worlds she creates and the depth of her characters. If you haven't read the rough rider collection and enjoy this book I highly recommend them! Very excited to read more of this series

S&B!!!. Can't get enough of Sierra & Boone! No "crazy" sex scenes in this one but you'll love the heart felt true love story!! It's ALL about B&S with the crazy McKays scattered throughout. I can't wait for the next book... Hoping there's a little west in the near future. 💚I'm already reading it for a second time💚

Great Start to the Legacy Series!!!. ARC provided by the author, but that has not influenced my review: Rough Riders continues with the next generation in the Legacy series!!!! Need I mentioned how much I absolutely adored Rough Riders series, so to have it continue with the Legacy series has me thrilled beyond belief!! And for it to begin with Sierra and Boone's story, where we were introduced of how they meet, become friends and Sierra's heart is broken in Gone Country (RR book #14). If you haven't read the RR book, no worries, you will still get glimpses of their beginning, which is all spun into UMH for a full understanding of their connection!! This book floored me....it was so worth the wait!! A great beginning for the Legacy series!! Sierra and Boone are perfect for one another, it's just sad it took 7 years for them to reconnect, but they are now all grown up and reconnect they do!!! UMH told their story perfectly, makes you fall in love with them all over again!! Giving more insight of Boone's past/upbringing and what he truly had to overcome and the strength it took to do so. Especially to leave Sierra in the first place. It also touched on some old characters from RR while giving us glimpses of the next generation..... I am so looking forward to more stories in the Legacy series!!! Lorelei James out did herself, and I am a huge fan of her writing, her books, in particular these series always touch my heart like no others. I loved it, and didn't want it to end!

Loved this book. I received an ARC copy for an honest review. The long awaited story of Boone and Sierra finally has happened! The story was great and everything that a reader could have wanted it to be. New readers to Ms. James do not be afraid bc there is enough flashbacks in the story to help you understand their history without going back and reading the Rough Riders series ( although I do suggest that because they are great). Both characters have grown up and were finally ready for the next step in their relationship. Enjoyed seeing the McKay-kateers and look foreword to their books in the future. Unbreak My Heart is a book you will not forget and a must read!

A Must Read. I received an ARC, which didn't influence my review, of this book and I'm blown away by Lorelei's writing once again. This book brings you back to Boone West & Sierra McKay's story. Several years have elapsed and the two still haven't lost their attraction to one another. You need to read this book to seen how Boone and Sierra, and some of the other McKay kids, continue the Rough Riders story. This book does not end in a cliff hanger, but rather leaves the plot open to continuation like the prior books of the RR series.

Lorelei did it again!. I have been a fan if Lorelei James for quite awhile and this book lives up to all of my expectations. I received an advanced copy and, boy, I wasn't disappointed. If you're new to Ms James, this book is a great way to introduce yourself to her books. And if you've been reading her previous books, a great way to reacquaint yourself with some old friends. Either way, you can't go wrong. There aren't many authors that I will buy their books (usually get from the library), but I always find a way to buy hers. Sierra and Boone's story meets and exceeds all expectations. You won't be disappointed, young, middle aged, or older readers alike.

Unbreak my heart. So worth the wait. Love Sierra and Boone together. Can't wait to see what the other kids get into. Lorelei thank you for putting up with the nagging, we needed this story and you delivered!!😊😊👍👍

Awesome!. The story of Boone and Sierra, that started in “Gone Country” with two teenagers who were just beginning their lives, continues and starts a new series, The Legacy series. Those of us who waited for this story were not disappointed. Lorelei took these to star-crossed lovers-to-be, let them grow into functional young adults and brought them back to each other. Both of them knew they were meant to be, it just took a little more convincing for Sierra. Boone was the one who never gave up. All of his issues still didn’t let him give up on Sierra and their love. Plus the chemistry we got a glimpse of in Gone Country just exploded, and the appearance of the McKay-kateers gives us hope for a bright future for this series. Thank you Lorelei for listening to the crazies and giving us a new generation of McKay’s!!!!

If you read the Rough Riders series, if you didn't, if you just need a summer read, if you love a happy ending, whatever the reason, it'll be out next week on Amazon. Don't miss out!!! This is one of the most anticipated books I have ever read & it exceeds all my expeditions. Sierra & Boone's story started in Gone Country, Rough Riders series & finally we get to read their happily ever after. The genre of this series is totally different than the Rough Riders series & completely all its own. I love that the readers still get a taste of the first generation without requiring new readers to backtrack. However I HIGHLY recommend reading the Rough Riders series, Unbreak My Heart is going to the must read book of the summer!

"Boonerra" starts the RR Legacy off right!. I fell in love with Lorelei James's writing style when I read her Rough Riders series. Honestly, I love all her characters, but none, more than Boone and Sierra. Boone is just as intense as I imagined he'd be; and just as fierce. What I didn't expect was how vulnerable and honest he actually was with Sierra. The man didn't pull any punches. Sure he makes a few missteps, but when it comes to his love for Sierra, he does not mince words; doesn't hold on to the fear of saying what's in his heart. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. He loves her with a tenderness and ferocity that even surprises him. Sierra is my spirit animal!! I love her tenacity, the drive she has and the heart she puts into anything she does. I love her smart mouth that gets her in trouble when she's had too much whiskey:). She's a woman who has goals; and heart. The heartbreak she experienced at Boone's hands when they were teens; really helped shape her into the woman she became. She only let her feelings of hurt and rejection get in the way for a minute. And she had the balls to let Boone in. These two together are more intense than I ever expected. They stabbed my heart with love for them as a couple. Honesty....always!!

Awesome awesome awesome. I can honestly say that I have been waiting for this book since this couple showed up 4 and a half years ago in another book and it was well worth the wait. I absolutely loved this book. I don't want to give any spoilers so won't mention anything that happens but I finished this book in one sitting and my emotion were all over the place while I read the book it was that good. I can't wait to see what happens next in this new series by Lorelei James.

Couldn't Put It Down - Definitely a Re-Read!. Lorelei James is one of my favorite authors and she certainly did not disappoint with Unbreak My Heart. I've read the Rough Riders series twice, so this first book of the Rough Riders Legacy was like coming home. Boone and Sierra are mature successful young adults reconnecting 7 years after meeting in high school that left Sierra with a broken heart. Boone is back, alpha, army tough, sexy and determined as hell to get her back. Sierra, beautiful smart corporate executive, is just as determined to shield her heart from being shredded again. A wonderful hot, sexy story, that I couldn't put down. Anxiously, waited for this book, again did not disappoint and look forward to additional books in the series on the other hot and sexy Mckay-kateers.

Not the read I expected. This was a very boring read, couldn't get into it.. Was lacking excitement and had some points of "why was that even in the book" not the best love story I have read but was nice to see them live happy ever after..

OMG!. Finally! Yes! Yes! Yes! Hot and steamy but the best part? Getting to know these two as adults and knowing Boone's love... *sigh*. Thank you Lorelei ❤️❤️❤️
