It was like he fell off the face of the earth, and broke Livvie's heart in the process. Unfortunately he was the Maid of Honor's date for this debacle. A fact Livvie was not happy about since she didn't invite him! His comment to her when he found her in the bar was...."Hey Mz. Olivia Kane, you sure know throw a party." LIvvie's decision to go on her honeymoon alone made perfect sense to her. Except when Finn appears in the seat next to her. He has one week in Mexico to convince her he loves her, rock her world, and turn it into a happily ever after. But, there are a few secrets he's keeping, that could endanger that plan. Heat wave. This book is the 3rd in the Tall, Dark, & Texan series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment and understanding, I recommend reading this series in order intended. Flynn has wanted Olivia from afar since they were young. Everyone kept reminding him he is not good enough for her. Now, she hates him for the space between them. Olivia is not happy that her heart has been broken by Flynn more than once. Can she trust him to help her mend it again? Flynn is everything she has wanted, and more. Very sweet and sexy book. The characters make reading this fun. I enjoyed the light banter. Hot! Hot! Hot!. I simply adored this story! Kate Meader had me laughing before I even got to chapter one. I was highly entertained and there was no shortage of steaminess. Flynn is Olivia's brother's best friend and she thought they were friends too. Olivia has always loved Flynn but never told him. Then seven years ago, Flynn broke off all communication with her and broke her heart. Olivia's day hasn't turned out how she expected it to. Instead of getting married she is in a bar drinking shots. Olivia has always wanted to do the right thing, but she is not so sure anymore. Flynn cares for Olivia but has always felt he wasn't good enough for her so hid his feelings. Flynn wants to be there for Olivia during this emotional time and to protect her from herself. He offers Olivia a proposition? Will Olivia accept his proposition? What will Olivia do when she finds out the role Flynn had in her wedding day disaster? FYI, this is a mature content story. Loved it!. A great read couldn’t put it down!

Texas Heat. One of my favorite types of stories! Best-friend's-sister/friends-to-lovers! I love when stories build over time and this story definitely has that. Olivia has just experienced the pinnacle of humiliation on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. Her fiancee and her maid of honor are caught red-handed on her wedding day. Olivia walks away and decides that her honeymoon will become a trip for one to paradise and she will find her rebound there. Flynn is Olivia's brother's best friend. He's a war veteran. He also has harbored feelings for Liv for a long time. He knows she can do better than her fiancée and a random vacation hookup so he offers himself as a rebound. He goes with Liv on her vacation and over the course of the week, they heat up Mexico. I loved the glimpses of the past in this book that showed how these two went from being close to almost enemies. This was a quick, fun read. I loved Flynn and Liv so much. I read this book before the other books in the series and now I can't wait to go back and read those! *I received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.*
