Mr. Darcy appeared calm as the verdict was handed down from the Justice of the High Court. Guilty. Inside, his heart was hammering. Ten years minimum prison, for a crime he didn’t commit. He heard Lady Catherine behind him, murmuring her thanks her sister was not here to see this. He found himself unusually indifferent to her feelings. The violence he had endured, learned to administer in the months he sat in jail had hardened him. He was no longer the soft, sheltered man who had been arrested for embezzling money from Pemberley International. As the court security led him into a private session with the judge, arranged by Lady Catherine. Looking back one last time into the court, his eyes met with George’s. With shock, he realized Wickham was the one who had cooked the books. Had framed him.

Elizabeth Bennet was proud to be in the top of her class at the Academy. They were especially tough on women. Despite the pretensions of equality, there were still areas where it was impossible to break through the ceiling that men placed in a woman’s way. She had gradually won over the respect from her male peers as she outperformed most of them. When she was asked to quit the academy and work with the FBI infiltrating a biker gang infiltrating the area, she knew this was her chance to show that a woman could do whatever a man could. Her mission? To work her way next to the bike gang’s leaders, run by a tough immigrant from England. Looking at his picture, she tried to quiet the fluttering of her heart as she looked at the raw animal look coming from his eyes. Barely listening as she was told he was a savage killer. A cop killer.

From two opposing walks of life, they will find their attraction demanding of them sacrifices that could jeopardize everything they have worked for.  Jeopardizing his freedom as she is led to set him up. Jeopardizing her career as her heart demands she become his ally as the government tightens its noose on him.

Warning: This book is a ten out of ten on the heat level. Descriptive acts of sex and violence, and not intended for someone looking for a light romantic read. The characters are gritty as this variation places them into the seedy side of life.
