The Queen has arrived!. This duet reminds me why I am addicted to the dark and heavy. The Queen was amazing! Skye Warren slays it with the duet and I have fallen more for Penny and Damon with each page I had turned. I did not know which way was up or down. I was captured with these two. Their story was sad but hopeful. Damon tried so hard to keep with his rules. He finds himself going against them when it comes down to Penny. Now that Damon has the responsibility of The King in the dark world, he needs his Queen's help. Penny is smart and witty. She knows that in order for Damon to come out stronger, she needs to be by his side. The Queen was hands down a great emotional and dark read. The romance was still in the story and was off the charts hot and heavy. The history that these two characters have makes them who they are present and is the reason they are stronger together.

Damon Scott worth everything.. I love Skye’s writing. I love the characters she wrote for the masterpiece series. In the King we get Damon Scott is ruthless but, is on a mission to save Penny. Penny is young and lives a life in danger and is captivated by older Damon. The King is edgy and dark. It has a connection of two souls needing saving. Skye gives us their story and depths of good verses evil.

Holy wow. This book was everything! Holy wow, I didn't want it to end!

A bit disappointed. I love all Skye Warrens books and i was really looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, for me, it fell a bit short. It seemed very rushed and the romance between Penny and Damon was very limited. Not a bad book, just a bit underwhelming

Underwhelming. I was really looking forward to reading Damon and Penny’s story after reading the Endgame series but I was a little disappointed by this. The connection and romance between the two was pushed to the wayside while the rest of the plot played out which was frustrating. Not bad, but could have been a lot better.
