A real review. This book gets a 5/5 because it was always fun and gave a very action packed story. The first 2 chapters are a bit slow, but the action picks up and never stops throughout the book! There is some great character development and a lot of heart. All in all, this is a very great addition to the wings of fire series!

Shredded talons, making them sharper. Though he has sharp talons, he’d rather have peace than fight. “I guess I should’ve fought well I had the chance, this has taught be a good lesson. Love it!!. I think that blue is a great character, but when I first saw it I thought he was a girl. 😅 But I still like it. I thought blue would join the rebellion at first but then I got farther into the book and found he just didn’t have the heart, witch I think is a good thing.

Story. Panther held Hibiscus in his talons, she was hurt and her scales were pale white. He watched as his own tear splattered across her unconscious face. “Oh please wake up, don’t die, your the only friend I have!” He sobbed, dead Rainwings were everywhere. Who had attacked them? Was he the only survivor? No! Hibiscus was alive, but…was she? Panther gathered her in his talons and took off through the burnt trees. Was her majesty alive? She had to survive! Panther landed on the ground a little outside the village. He set Hibiscus down and started crying. His only friend, she might have died! He felt as if his world had collapsed. Do you like it?

AMAZING. I really like this book! NEW DRAGONS! But something caught my eye in this book: Around the start of chapter 1, it says “you know” and Tui never has written anything like that! Edit: Seriously, has anybody realized that? Just read another one of Tui’s books and you will se what I am saying. And Kasy, no offense but I would just like to say bumble bee is not in this book.

Sorry. Sorry guys I thought i posted the story but turns out i didnt so HERE IT IS LOVELIES 1 Galaxy GALAXY WANTED TO SAVE TO WORLD SOMEDAY. She didn’t think it was fair that the Jade Winglet got to saunter around the world saving it and having awesome adventures while she had to SIT. In SCHOOL. And learn SUPER BORING THINGS. Of course, she wasn’t complaining about Jade Mountain. After Darkstalker was defeated (she still wanted to know how they did that), the Dragonets of Destiny had taken more awareness to hybrids like herself who wanted to come to school, so now there was an entire Winglet just of hybrid dragonets— Opal Winglet. Galaxy was a RainWing-NightWing hybrid. Her body was a dark blue, her arms and face a deep purple, but her wings, ruff, and some scales could change color like a RainWing. Instead of silver star scales on her wings, the scales were more like clouds of arms on a galaxy you could sometimes see on a clear night. She had venomous fangs like a RainWing but had a poisonous bite and fire like a NightWing. Before the NightWings moved into the rainforest, Galaxy had been on her own, raised only by her RainWing mother and shunned by the other RainWings for being different. She’d met Moonwatcher once, briefly, before the NightWings moved in, but that changed everything. It also helped to know that Moon could read minds like Galaxy did. Galaxy was different, she could turn it on and off on command, but it was still stressful when she let it open. At school, she kept it off. It was better that way. Besides, dragons showed what dragons wanted to show on the outside. Galaxy respected privacy. “Move over,” a burly MudWing pushed Galaxy aside as she made her way to the cafeteria, but clearly, she wasn’t moving fast enough. Galaxy glared and pushed forward to the cafeteria. She was hungry and there was NO REASON for that MudWing to be SUCH A JERK. “Hey, Galaxy, over here!” a voice shouted, and Galaxy’s glare softened. Her friends (some in Opal Winglet, some not) were standing over by a crate of mangoes. Galaxy grinned and scampered over to where they sat, talking and eating. Steam, the one who had called Galaxy, was a tall SeaWing-SkyWing hybrid. His huge wings faded from blue to yellow, and his tail that was tipped with a fin was draped on top of his back talons. His bioluminescent scales glowed orange instead of blue, but the orange and blue palette of his scales made him stand out from an ordinary crowd. Drought was an IceWing-SandWing, with dark eyes, a spiked poisonous barb, and the SandWing frill along her back. She could breathe both fire and frost, and was known to have a hot-and-cold temper. Diamond earrings glittered in either ear. Next to Steam, Kelp the SeaWing sulked in a corner, inspecting the fish options grouchily. He’d been this way since his crush, Glider the SkyWing, rejected him. Kelp was seaweed green, apart from the gray-blue luminescent markings along his wings and body. “Hi, Galaxy,” Sloth the RainWing smiled, feeding Cacao, her sloth, some leaves. Sloth had the curves most RainWings had of being well-fed and taken care of, and Galaxy found it fitting that Sloth’s favorite animals were, well, sloths. Galaxy flicked her wing. “Hi, Sloth. Where’s Yucca?” At the mention of the pretty SandWing’s name, Drought paled while Steam blushed furiously, then looked puzzled. “I dunno. I haven’t seen her all day, which was weird. She wasn’t in Math or History, or her cave,” Steam frowned. “You checked?” Drought asked incredulously. “You didn’t?” Steam looked terribly worried. Galaxy knew he was crushing hard on Yucca, and Drought didn’t like it because she liked Steam. It was complicated, and sometimes gave Galaxy a headache when she turned her mind reading on. At the thought of crushes, Galaxy turned to scan the crowd. There he was, dark scales speckled with gold and silver and red and the colors of a sunset. She didn’t know why she did it, but she was constantly checking to make sure he was still there at Jade Mountain. “You should talk to him,” Steam said. He, Kelp, and Drought were the only ones who knew her secret, and Steam had followed her gaze over to Dusk. Kelp, Steam, and Galaxy had formed a blackmail triangle, promising that if any one of them shared their secrets, their secrets would be leaked as well. It was a secure idea, but it still didn’t relent the teasing within the group. Galaxy shook out her wings, making sure NONE OF HER SCALES WHATSOEVER were turning pink. STOP BEATING SO LOUD, FOR THE MOON’S SAKE, HEART. HE’S JUST A DRAGON. “Okay. I’ll go talk to him. See you in art,” Galaxy waved, picking a mango and heading over to where Dusk was chatting with Kildeer the SkyWing. Dusk paused as he saw Galaxy out of the corner of his eye and turned to her. Galaxy took a deep breath in. Here you go. It’s okay. “Hey, Galaxy!” Dusk grinned, brushing his wing against hers. Galaxy concentrated VERY HARD to make sure her scales stayed purple. She couldn’t control her eye color, which changed with her mood. It was PROBABLY some hybrid disability. For all she knew, they were hibiscus–pink and there was nothing she could do about it. Kildeer lost interest and wandered over to where a MudWing and a tiny SkyWing were arguing. “How are you?” SHUT UP, HEART. “Good enough. How’s your day been so far?” Galaxy replied, skillfully slicing a bite of mango. Dusk shrugged. “Fair enough. But something weird happened in Herbs and Healing with Clay, so Kildeer and I were speculating.” “What was wrong?” Galaxy asked curiously. Dusk’s green eyes narrowed as he frowned and— STOP LOOKING AT HIM LIKE THAT, GALAXY. Dusk lowered his voice, dropping his gaze to meet her eyes. “Clay was worried,” Dusk said eerily, “about a missing SandWing named Yucca.” Ok thank you and enjoy that bagel before I eat it! -Galaxy the RainWing-NightWing Dam that dam

Chapter 4...?. Condense scanned the ground, worry surging through her as Silk circled around the hole. “There’s something in there,” Silk said. “Something alive.” Condense looked at Silk darkly. “You think???” Condense snapped at her sister, but something suddenly snapped around her snout, making Condense instinctively pull in her wing claws, about to blast lava, but the same thing snapped over them. “I’m sorry sister.” Silk smiled an evil smile before grabbing Condense, forcing her to fold in her wings. Silk then folded in her own wings and fell head first for the hole. Ice stared up at the ceiling, his mind concentrated on one exact thing: wondering if he could become king instead of sitting around for the rest of his life as a prince. “Sir?” Ice looked over his shoulder at his sister Narwhal. “Your older than me. Don’t call me that.” Ice said. Narwhal smiled fondly. “Let’s go for a fly.” She said. Ice blinked and nodded. That sounded like a good idea. They flew out over the icy deep that protected the palace, and glided over to the easternmost point of the Kingdom of Frost. Ice’s gaze widened as his sister flew down to hover over a giant hole. “Come here.” Narwhal said spreading out her arms. Ice flew into them, only for his sister to drop straight into the hole after saying ‘Hope you said bye to Snow Hare and mother.’ Poison stared at her brother in horror. “Oak please...” she whispered. Oak swerved around behind her, faster than lightning. But Poison was faster. She evaded her brother with a quick flap of her wings, dove underneath him and came back up on the other side. But nothing stopped him. Poison flashed behind him, accidentally slicing him with her tail, causing him to fall for the hole. “NO!” Poison screeched, diving for her brother, only to pass out as something pierced her neck.

yes. it was a bit confusing for me to understand what was happening at first but i gradually started to understand what was happening. overall cool book

Rest of chapter one (beginning of chapter 1 in book ten). Previously... *THUMP!* Wolf! What if it’s my mother! Whatever landed on the roof is big... (Ok now the rest) Wolf I don’t want to be taken back to the kingdom of sea I don’t fit in there. *suddenly a dragon pops her head down from the roof* “hi! Mind if I come inside?” The new dragon asks. “Noooooooooo” Wolf yells at the same time as Eclipse says “uh sure” Thanks” the mysterious dragon comes inside * “sooo what’s your name “ Eclipse asks. “MWA HAHAHA I’m glad you asked...” the new dragon replies. *out of no where she grabs some random pineapples* *pelts Eclipse and Wolf with pineapples * “ THAT TOLD US NOTHING!!!” Eclipse yells. “Ok Eclipse this is ... pineapple “ Wolf mumbles. “I know those are pineapples but who’s the dragon “ Eclipse wonders. “Her name is pineapple” Wolf says. “Oh. Well that’s confusing” Eclipse laughs. “Hey how does pineapple know you anyway?” Eclipse asks. “She is from the rainforest and is uhh banished to the Jade mountain academy for chucking pineapples at my mom...” “Oh... but how did she find us in a tiny cave in the middle of the ocean when Jade mountain Academy is on land?” Wolf opened his mouth then closed it... “I have no idea” I just followed the smell of mangoes “

WOW. Just wow 🤩. The last chapter was in Darkness of Dragons. Chapter 4 Pyrite woke up chained in a dark cave. Oh no where am I! she thought. What went wrong? Suddenly a guard came in and let a torch. She could see her surroundings much better now and could see there was about 20 other dragons chained up with her. The cave was surprisingly big and split in a few different directions. The dragon nearest to her who was a metallic green whispered “oh you’re new. my name is ruby i am 120 years old.” “Where are we?!” Pyrite demanded. Ruby frustratingly didn’t answer. The guard came over and gave them all a few rats. She tried some and it tasted horrible. She decided to ask the guard what was going on. Beautiful book, beautiful cover. I love the amount of action that happened in this book! The cliffhanger was terrible (in a good way but also a ahh-why-is-there-no-more-chapters-TUI-AHHH) and Swordtail was hilarious. I feel like Blue and Cricket’s relationship was a little rushed, though. Just saying.

I love this!. I made my own wings of fire OC Buttermilk She’s a light yellow dragon, but her secondary colored scales are golden! Butter’s really silly and childish, although she’s 11 years old. Butter’s special ability is to create slippery liquid to make her opponents slip and fall. OUCH! Anyways, she has light brown eyes, and golden horns. She’s a SilkWing. { why do I feel like this OC is kinda cringe }

I actually did an essay on banned books and how harmful it is to ban a book just because a certain demographic doesn’t approve of it. It was for the NYPL banned books teen writing challenge thingy that I did last month. But I digress. If we have an opinion on something, that’s okay. It’s also okay if you voice it — providing that you avoid calling out other people’s opinions. Now, for some things, its okay if you call someone out (aka creeps or p3dos and whatnot) but for something like LGBTQ+, or racism, even, no. He entered Jupiters room. “Dragons from planet 77 are here.” Blackhole reported. Jupiter sighed. “I’m coming.” The two alien dragon turned back into the room where they left them. “This is Jupiter. He is in charge.” Blackhole said to them. “Jupiter! We need help! Our planet is being infested by Reaperwings!” One of them said. Jupiter raised his brow. “I know. There is not much we can do but we can figure it out. We are the ones who did create them.” He said. Blackhole winced. “You CREATED THOSE THINGS?! WHY?!” Fire blasts from his mouth. “We were at war with another planet. So I ordered all my scientists to create a living weapon that will help us win. Well half way finished with making them the war ended. So I gave them back my prisoners but they wouldn’t. Their leader was to stubborn and prideful. We warned them to give them back or else. They still didn’t listen. We gave them one more warning. And well…you can guess that they said no. So we quickly finished up creating about twelve. Then we released them. We waited for them to attack because this was a warning shot. We would send more if they wouldn’t yield. But there was no attack. We wondered if there was something wrong with them. Then after three days. They shot out of the ground and started to devour the entire planet. They kept everything pretty but now no one lives there. We couldn’t even get to our prisoners because they ate them. So after a couple of days we couldn’t find anything on the planet. It was weird. The Reaperwings are no longer there. Then we got reports that they were devouring planets. They already killed off three. We were finally able to get to your planet now we have to figure out how to destroy them or at least get your All off this planet before the three days end.” Jupiter finished. Everyone was silent. “W-what happens after three days?” One asked. “They will wipe your planet clean. It doesn’t matter how you battle them off. They will strike with a force not in the likes of anyone has ever seen or will see again. We call it The Execution. No one survives. You may say numbers don’t win wars. Then you will see them. Even if your islands are Phyrria and Pentela all joined forces. You would be wiped out. Even if you find a way to kill them bloodlessly. Their spores will spread. And that my friends is worse.” They dipped their heads in fear. “Then we figure out how to evacuate the planet and take them somewhere else.” Blackhole said. “It doesn’t matter. The Reaperwings will cover the entire galaxy eventually.” Jupiter said with a sigh. “Then we will blow the planet. Destroy it after we are done. Then the Reaperwings will be gone before they even knew what hit them.” Blackhole said. Those aren’t the only Reaperwings the other half of the army is somewhere else. But they all answer to the Supreme Alpha. Or what they call, Devil. But we haven’t been able to locate her. So you should go back to your planet. And break the news to them. Good bye Dragons.” Jupiter said leaving. Blackhole sighed. “It’s okay. We will advocate you. Then we will try to rid this galaxy of the menace.” They nodded in thanks. “Good bye!” Back at home: “The best they can do was evacuate us.” Raptor said. Everyone started murmuring. Then suddenly the smallest dragon no bigger then a cat rushed through the crowd. It was small and looked terrified. It was a Reaperwing. It skidded to a stop. Everyone looked down at it ready to kill it. The dragons it was running from glanced around nervously. “Get it!” They shouted. The dragonet ducked its head down shivering. “Wait!” Someone called. “WAIT!” Yeah… I made this tribe last summer and I really wanted to write them in. Now I can’t figure out how to beat them. SnakeWings - religion. Religion/beliefs: All SnakeWings believe in two powerful beings, one is Hasehpt, goddess of death, wickedness, and tyranny. Hasehpt is portrayed as a giant snake with black and red scales similar to a volcano with large ram horns and eyes of the deepest red with black pupils. Hasehpt is female. The other one is called Nurut (pronounced new root, emphasis on the second u in Nurut) Nurut is the goddess of life, morality, and protection. Nurut is also a giant snake with white majestic glowing scales with a blue outline. She is adorned with gold and blue jewelry and has small angel wings on her back. Her eyes are glowing blue with white pupils. It is believed that every 100 years, Hasehpt and Nurut have a battle and Nurut always perseveres, banishing Hasehpt for another 100 years. Until one day, Hasehpt defeated Nurut and drained her power. Nurut then went into hiding after her devastating defeat. In order to appease Hasehpt, every year on Hasehpt’s birthday they perform a ritual. The dragonet that hatches on the birthday is dismembered alive and each of the dragonet’s limbs are placed on stone pillars, and the heart is placed on the highest pillar. Then they draw a symbol around the pillars with the dragonet’s blood. They then summon Hasehpt to collect the soul of this dragonet. If they do not do the ritual Hasehpt will terrorize the SnakeWings and introduce a reign of death and destruction. Years ago, a desperate mother of the dragonet that was supposed to be sacrificed fled from the kingdom in order to protect her child. However, guards found her and executed her, and sacrificed her child. The SnakeWings pray and hope that one day Nurut will regain her strength to defeat Hasehpt once more. They worship and send prayers to Nurut and temples, they believe doing this will help Nurut regain strength. Recently, Nurut sent the SnakeWings a prophecy: The dragonet hatched of evil Will bring the kingdom to light Although you may not see it The dragonet will win the fight To restore the kingdom’s greatness You have to find the heart To deny the tyranny of evil And save the kingdom once and for all Think you can decipher it? 😱😱😱😱😱. Whoa. Just finished it and I am just...., WOW!!! Probably 3rd best book ( 1st: escaping peril, 2nd: talons of power.) also BIG cliffhanger with Luna and all at the end. Like..... yesss. Also, I love how both those stories ( darkness of dragons and lost continent) happen at the same time. It’s like, wow this is happening BUT ON THE LOST CONTINENT DALKSTALKER JUST COMES TO LIFE YEAH BRO! also to the dragons on pantala, the lost continent is Pyrrhia.

The Lost Continent (Wings of Fire, Book 11). The Lost Continent is an exciting book in the Wings of Fire series. It starts the 3rd series, (the first and second were The Dragonet Prophecy and the Jade Mountain Prophecy) and explains the mysterious arrival at the end of Darkness of Dragons (Wings of Fire, Book 10). This book is set mainly in Pantala, the ‘Lost Continent’. Blue is an interesting protagonist, who changes a lot throughout the book and we can mostly relate to. Lots of twists, turns and surprises await you in The Lost Continent!

When it bugs you. The first and second arcs of Wings of Fire were absolutely amazing. The storyline was superb and the characters were really what made it for me. However, when I first saw the cover of The Lost Continent and the descriptions of the three newly introduced tribes, I was like "whoa, bug dragons? Isn't that going too far?" but then I read the book and - excuse me - thrice cursed moons! I was not disappointed. All my expectations for what the book could be was completely and utterly destroyed. The protagonist POV is refreshing, the development of the world is invigorating and storyline was so much different from the others and the plot twists were very twisty (in a good way). This is an exciting first novel for the third arc and I cannot wait for the next books (The Hive Queen looks very promising). This is definitely worth the read for loyal fanwings!
