Enjoyable and thought provoking. Great characters and content! Makes you think deeper while cheering on the possibilities. Looking forward to the next book.

Great book. Inspiration, patience, love, and acceptance of trials in our lives.

Couldnā€™t stop reading! Well written and captivating!. This book is a must read for everyone with questions about Jesus and Faith. It really gets to the heart of the issue in a interesting and compelling way. I would love to be able to follow Estherā€™s life in another book.

Beautiful Story. Loved this book! Such a moving story of faith and loving Jesusā™„ļø

A New Way to Look at Talking About Faith. I always thought to witness you should tell your own experiences and how they led you to follow our Father. Nothing wrong with that of course, but sort of hard to ease into sometimes. This book however has led me to think about a whole different way of presenting my faith to others. Everyone loves a good story, so if you learn to present Biblical parables accurately but with some pizzazz, like the main character here didā€¦ well I am excited to give it a go. Enjoyed the story too! Thank you Ms. Dillon. God bless.

Grace in Strange Disguise. Absolutely loved reading the book! Storyline deals with a cancer patient and how she is viewed by her minister father and members of her church. Joy was one of my favorite characters as she brought biblical truths to light that was so easy to understand. Through Joy, Esther was able to understand the biblical truth that we can have everlasting life through Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. Praise God for the sacrifice of His Son that we may live in eternity. Read the book and feel blessed!

Great book. I was interested in this title when it was offered on Bookbub. Little did I know how much I enjoyed the story. A daughter of a well known pastor becomes engaged. Life seems to be going great until a medical diagnosis changes her life. Along the way her belief in God is shattered when her prayers for healing go unanswered. This is a great book for those who ask ā€œWhy God, did my prayers go unanswered?ā€

Absolutely perfectly written to show how story telling can be a way to share the Gospel.. I loved it, and I ordered Christineā€™s ā€œ how toā€ book online. Our church has an outreach to share Christ with men and women in assisted living communities.

Warm and thought-provoking book!. This story was fresh and delightful. The characters interactions were well-developed and so interesting! Many of the conversations between characters caused me thought-provoking thoughts of just exactly what my faith believes!

Read it in one day. Wow, how have I not known about this author before?? I had many things to do todayā€¦ none of them got done! What a pleasure to sit down with this book and find such rich and engaging evangelism and encouragement and HOPE within its pages! Please read this book if you have half the chanceā€¦ as for me, Iā€™m off to buy the rest of the series!

Can't recommend enough!. Is your faith lacking and in need of a boost? Read this book. So convicting and encouraging at the same time. I flew through it so quickly, I initially thought it was just a novella, but it was just that engrossing and exactly what I needed at this moment. Looking forward to continuing through Esther's story and feel she was appropriately named, as I needed her "for such a time as this".

High quality Christian literature. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Itā€™s a good story and I loved that it is in an Australian setting to which I can completely relate. Itā€™s a long time since I last read any Christian fiction - so often the theology leaves a lot to be desired - but Christineā€™s story is clearly and firmly Bible-based. Obviously books should never take the place of reading the Bible, but as a Christian I found this story both encouraging, challenging and helpful. I highly recommend reading it and canā€™t wait to get the next book in the series.

A Book That Challenged My Assumptions. I read a lot of books and don't consider most worth re-reading. I also generally don't choose to read Christian fiction because in my experience it often has cheesy plots and badly written stories. And in the case of this book, I'm out of the target audience by at least a decade. But I fell in love with this book the first time I read it. (I've even re-read it and will continue to re-read it because it's one of those books where you can't get everything the first time.) The book itself was well written, the plot engaging and the premise curious. What happens when your core beliefs are shaken and you are forced to re-evaluate what is true? What price would you pay for the truth? I've found it impossible to put down each time I've read it, and would recommend it to anyone (even if they wouldn't normally read Christian fiction).

A must-read!. The Grace collection, not only entertains, but benefits and encourages you, with their so-real characters. I loved following the family and friends through their gripping journeys and l look forward to picking each book again when I have a free moment šŸ˜

A joy to read. What a joy to read! I have eagerly anticipated reading this book and it did not disappoint. Christine takes you along Estherā€™s journey in a way that only an experienced storyteller can. It has made me think long and hard about my own faith and relationship with God and also reminded me to pray actively for opportunities to share stories with those around me. I canā€™t wait to read the next book!

Grace in Strange Disguise. So thankful to have come across this book. Found it captivating, challenging and refreshing. One of the greatest bondages and barriers to people having a personal relationship with Jesus is the lie that we have to earn our salvation, meet certain criteria to win Gods favour. I encourage you to read this book and follow the example of the lead character and discover what Gods says about us in His book the Bible.

A Great Read in Strange Disguise. A fantastic book full of grace, forgiveness, and love. Yet it doesn't shy away from the difficult subjects of suffering, pain, and rejection. Christine Dillon has weaved a captivating story that allowed me to easily connect and relate to all the characters in some way,Ā  especially with the main protagonist, Esther. I was immediately drawn in to her world and needless to say I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next book to be released! Christine's polished skill at storytelling is evident throughout the pages and because it raises so many areas worthy of discussion it would make a terrific book to read in a Book Club.

Loved it. I was inspired and loved reading this book and can't wait for the next book in the series. I found the story very interesting and enjoyable but also challenging me to share my faith with unbelievers who come across my pathway. If you are looking for a genuine Christian fiction story to read, I would encourage you to read this one.

Good stuff!. Fantastic! I'm often not a fan of Christian fiction, and I tend to steer clear of stories about cancer - both for the same reason, which is that authors often handle these complex topics in really stereotyped ways. This book is not like that; it's nuanced and beautiful, and I learned a lot about my own journey with God by reading it.

Realistic. So many of the internal struggles that Esther has are ones I can identify with so a lot of the conclusions are also ones I can understand. The book deals with ā€œthe prosperity gospelā€ in a way that you can understand how people drift into it yet also understand why it leaves a person knowing that something is lacking. Itā€™s not what we do and the faith we have that answers the questions in our lives, itā€™s who we have that faith in - no matter how little faith we have. Itā€™s Jesus and Jesus alone who fills that gaping hole in our heart and who has all the answers. We canā€™t earn eternal life and we donā€™t deserve it, itā€™s all Jesus and this story shows that.

Unforgettable. Grace in Strange Disguise by Christine Dillon This is a beautifully told story of a young woman who is diagnosed with breast cancer. The writing is reminiscent of Francine Rivers. It is a tender, realistic account of her faith journey. I thought it might be a vapid romance - sheā€™d meet her Prince Charming during chemo and live happily ever after. But no - it follows her ups and downs - struggles to accept her diagnosis, dealing with the responses of those closest to her: her parents and her fiancĆ©, and the reality of the difficulty of her treatments. This could be someoneā€™s blog. And through it all, a tale of her newfound relationship with Jesus - who alone is enough, whether she gets healed or not. I LOVED it. Iā€™d love to give it to those going through cancer, or whose loved ones are. I received a free copy, with no obligation.

Wonderful book. This story made me think, smile, cry and hope for more. Thank you for taking the time to write a book that so clearly demonstrates what my heart has always felt. Anyone who has been through pain and asked ā€˜why me?ā€™ or ā€˜how can I?ā€™ should enjoy this book.
