It’s bad when the girls go missing.

It’s worse when the girls are found.

Six months ago, Charlotte almost lost everything. Now, she’s determined to keep her daughter, Elle, safe. So when local girls close to Elle in age and appearance begin to go missing, it’s her worst nightmare.

Charlotte’s fears are confirmed when a frantic search becomes a shocking murder investigation. The girls’ bodies have been found – half-buried, and with traces of mud and wildflowers under their fingernails.

As Charlotte’s obsession with keeping her daughter close pushes her marriage to the brink, local DI Madeleine Wood embarks on a gruelling search for the killer. And, as they dig deeper into the lives of the people they call friends and neighbours, they uncover secrets more terrible than they ever imagined…

A great read. Such a great read. I could not put this down I was gripped throughout. Some great twists.A must read. Sarah

Gripping. I was hesitant at first but gave it a go for 99p and once I pushed past the initial pages, that shocked me a little, I couldn’t believe what a bargain I’d got. I found myself constantly checking how many pages were left, hoping that the story would go on for longer. It’s not often I find myself so focussed on a book, and I finished it in 2 days! Would 100% recommend.

Ending ruined book. I was gripped from the first page and couldn’t stop reading. Unfortunately the ending and murderer completely ruined it for me. Was a fantastic book up until the identity was revealed

Wow!. What a brilliant book. Had me hooked from start to end.

Amazing. Gave me nightmares!!

Must read. Truly gripping. Full of twists, every time I had a theory set another piece of the puzzle presented itself. I couldn’t put this book down.

Couldn’t put it down. I really enjoyed this book. It was intriguing and I spent the whole time bouncing between who I thought the killer was. The twist was interesting and delves into our fears of the human mind. At first I found it confusing and a little annoying that the chapters jumped from first person to third person, but it made sense at the end of the book and helped to highlight the unreliable narrative of the main character.

Pretty little things. A very good read, well written and some good twists along the way especially considering it was free

The ending is good. Bit slow and dull in places to get there however.

Pretty little things. Quite enjoyed this book, was fast paced and not boring
