Slow start. I ended up liking this book, but it took me a long time to get into. I was well into the book before I quit finding things to do other than read. My first irritation stemmed from SO many “erm”s & “er”s in the dialogue. That will put me off of an author lickity split. I mean, really, how many people do you know that say things like “Well, erm, I’m not so sure.” Plus this author writes in British style English, but the setting of this book is in Brooklyn, so she’s also trying to use American style English. She misses the mark often. BUT...... eventually, I got past that & the story line kicked in & I enjoyed the remainder of the book, bad phrasing & “erm”s notwithstanding.

Warm and Fuzzy Feels. Book #2 in this series was another perfectly predictable book, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Picturing Todd Zac Efron *really* added a little something to the story. I cannot recommend this enough. He is the perfect Todd (and specimen of a human, but I digress) and made the all the smut just *chef’s kiss here.* This book actually wound up being more of a page turner for me; I couldn’t wait to see how it all played out. It took me about the first quarter of the book to get over the author having Americans speak in British English. Many words are distinctly British, and that slightly annoyed me (does any American call braids “plaits?” Especially an American guy?!?). I eventually got over it and enjoyed the book. After all, Zac Efron is welcome to say whatever words he wants ;)

The Little Brooklyn Bakery. So far this author just can’t write a bad book in my opinion. I have read her stories written under another name, and am now enjoying her stories under this name. Once started I hate putting them down and feel sad but fulfilled at the finish of each one. Thankfully they are nice and long and have all the feels. Her books are romantic, filled with interesting characters, wonderful descriptions of places , food, people, and just make you feel as though you are there and experiencing it all yourself. Salty language is at a minimum, and bedroom scenes are tasteful but still hot. You won’t be disappointed.

Buy this if you love romance laughter great friends. I’m on an English romance kick because I love the Uk and need an escape during the pandemic desperately. This is my second book by this author and I love her writing her take on female friendships and relationships. Also I love baking cooking themes. This is a great book that will make you laugh smile happy.

A fab book. My only disappointment was that there was no epilogue I felt that Toby and Sophie had more to say. The ending came so suddenly I was like oh ... can’t wait for my trip to Paris

My fave in the collection so far. I really enjoyed this but I’m giving it a 4 because I feel like it ended too abruptly, there could have been more done with the ending

Gripping. I really couldn’t put this one down, wanted to know what happened but didn’t want it to end. Loved the characters. Can’t wait to read next book.
