Wonderful story about Mexican cartels and the vicious people they are!!. Most people don’t understand what animals these cartels are until someone spells it out in a book.

Not his best.... Found this one dragging, most of the way thru. Not his best work.
Lame. Fans of the series retain hope that the author rediscovers his way. This dog has fleas.
Depth of Winter. Walt is still the guy other guys want to be. However, much of the plot is simply way unbelievable. I would have preferred watching the Sheriff chase local bad guys with the help of Vic, Henry, and his daughter. Keep it real.
Mesquite Tree. It would be unrealistic to climb a mesquite tree because it has thorns ,otherwise it was good.

The Depth of Winter. Best book in the series. Read it in 5 hours. Like an action movie but with your best friend as the hero.
Good characters, but story was over the top. There were just too many unbelievable escapes and recaptures to be realistic.
