Amazing. Jo has been one of favorite authors for a long time. I love this book so much. You could feel the pain and anguish deep through every word. It is definitely a must read, along with all her other books.

One of the best...... This has probably been my favorite out of all Jo Raven’s books and yes, I have read them all! This book was such an emotional read and really allowed you to take the journey with the character. We got a small glimpse of the characters in this book ( Sophie and Griffen) in another book Jo wrote about Merc & Cos (Sophie’s twin sister) called Dark Child. Sophie and Griffen has been a couple for a short while when things fell apart for the couple. After some twists and turns Sophie shows up at Griffen’s door step to try to mend the broken bridges between them but learns a heart breaking truth. Not only does she need to win Griffen’s heart back but she has to stand by while he fights for his life becoming a shell of his former self. Griffen lacks communication skills when it comes to Sophie everything he does or says seems to cause another hurdle for them. Now she is determined to be back in his life no matter what he says or does. While he fights for his life he is fighting to keep Sophie at a distance. But when it comes to matters of the heart things don’t always go as planned. With the possibility of death looming over this couple is rekindling the flames really worth the risk of a broken heart? This book is absolutely a must read for anyone even if you haven’t read any other Jo Ravens books you can read this one. It made me laugh, cry and even smile which makes this a fantastic book in my opinion. I wish I could write even longer review but I don’t want to give out any spoilers! 5stars. This book just brought me to my knees. It’s raw, heartbreaking but through it all, there was so much love. I’ve always wondered about Sophie and Griff’s relationship since we’ve only got to see Cos’s side. She was so angry at him and Sophie was so vague that I’ve always thought he was a jerk but now I see what he was going through, it just broke my heart. He needed so much love but couldn’t communicate. For all his struggles, I’m happy he’s found his HEA.

Strength. What an awesome story kept me wondering if we would have a HEA. I knew their love was special and would win but hoped as I read that Griff would come through this trial in his life. Thank you Jo Raven

This book was everything. This book was everything, .. Sophie had an inner strength that all Griffin needs to accept her love Love how this book, shows their pain, joys, discoveries of what true love means. This book is emotional and inspiring. Through the tears, I kept reading feeling along with Sophie and Griffin journey.

Emotional... so good!. Griff and Sophie’s story... breath... hand at my chest trying to relieve the aches..swallow down my tears. I am a MESS after turning the last page of this book. Ms. Raven’s is back doing what she does best, taking me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. It is what I love most about her stories. Yes there is a tale to tell but all the feelings weaved throughout fills the heart often reducing me to a blubbering fool. Griff broke my heart from page one. He is SOOO MISUNDERSTOOD. Adding all the medical issues in combination with his depression ugh I just wanted to hug him forever. Umm it didn’t hurt that he sounds like a complete hottie too (wink). Sophie amazes me. She takes ownership to her misstep and is trying to make up for past wrongs with Griff. Her insecurities along with her desire to care for him give her a heart wrenching monolog. I really loved this book and possibly need therapy after reading it (EEK). This is such a beautiful story. Happy Reading!

Strength is Superb!!. I’m so glad Jo decided to write this story. I wondered what was happening with Sophie and Griffin. This story was very powerful and true to what a lot of veterans go through when they return from war. I’m so glad Sophie could see through it all and see Griffin for what he really is. I enjoyed this story immensely. So glad to see them end up together. Jo Raven rocks!

Amazing read. Wow I loved this book so much second chance at finding out the one you have loves after coming back from war and fighting to live through the cancer. This is a amazing read that grabbed me by the heart and soul.

Wow! Emotional! My poor heart!. Jo Raven has the ability to rip out my heart throw it around stamp on it then make it all better and put it back again a better version than it was before. This story is fantastic, it’s emotional, heart wrenching and just shows true love conquers all x ❤️❤️❤️

Great read. Griffin and Sophie’s book broke my heart and put is back together again. I loved this book the story I am so glad we got Sophie’s story after meeting her in Dark Child.

STRENGTH IS AMAZING!! Griff. Heartbreaking. Crushing. Angst. Love. Lust. Hope. That’s a few words that describe the emotions I felt reading Strength. Griffin What a complicated man, tortured by past events, struggling to live in “the world of today” after his time in the army and PTSD that now demands so much of his attention. His love for Sophie has always been there, hiding because he never believed he was worthy of love. Never believed he was worthy or deserving of her love. Sophie Sophie has loved Griffin for years until one day he was gone. Disappeared without a word. Then years later he is back from the war (that she had no clue about) and he has changed. He was always quiet, reserved but there’s a difference to him now & Sophie wants him, needs him and is determined to break through his layers. This read was so emotional, a topic that can’t help but tug at your heartstrings and pray for a HEA. The thought of anything else is unbearable. Sophie and Griffin are amazing, their love is unbreakable and for the first time Griffin allows himself to feel. To love.

Strong character read. Another amazing book from Jo. Enjoyed seeing the return of past characters. The commitment of these characters to stay true to what they want even through struggles makes it a must read.

Second Chance love. Strength by Jo Raven What an emotional, heartbreaking story. Where do I begin to tell you how fantastic this book is. This book is Griffin and Sophies story. You will remember both of this characters being mentions in Dark Child Mercury & Cosima story. Considering Cosima and Sophie are twin sisters. Griffin and Sophie’s story will pull at your heart, it is emotionally raw. The tragedy and pain that Griff deals with not only from the Cancer but also from the scars on his body. Griffin is struggling to deal with cancer, and doesn’t want to believe he is going to make it. Sophie is there for him and will not let him give up as she nurses him back to health. Griffin and Sophie don’t and haven’t had the easiest of relationships and you are in for one bumpy ride with them while they try to work out the past and present relationship troubles. Well done Jo with what I believe to be another successful book. It was well written and you can see that a lot of work went into it to give the authenticity of Griffin’s illness and treatment.
