Biografía de Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri, primera mujer que llevó el mensaje del Opus Dei fuera de España. El Papa Francisco decretó que fuera beatificada por la Iglesia católica en mayo de 2019.
Falta por descubrir la vida de algunas personas que formaron parte de la vanguardia en el avance social y humano de la mujer. Y una de ellas fue Guadalupe Ortiz de Landázuri.
Fue la primera mujer del Opus Dei que salió de España para desarrollar esa institución en otro país, México. Allí impulsó eficazmente la educación y la promoción profesional y humana de numerosas mujeres. Enseñó Química en Madrid, fue catedrática de Escuela Industrial e inició un centro de formación en Ciencias Domésticas.
Durante toda su vida se mostró alegremente disponible para secundar el mensaje de santidad en medio del mundo promovido por san Josemaría, siendo así un ejemplo para miles de mujeres de los cinco continentes. El Papa Francisco decretó que fuera beatificada por la Iglesia católica en mayo de 2019.
