Unforgiven. ARC for honest review with no compensation 4.5 stars received from NetGalley and Forever Unforgiven is book 2 in the Loveless, Texas series by Jay Crownover, a new to me author and will definitely be reading more of her books and this series! Hill Gamble, Texas Ranger has come back to Lovelace, Texas to investigate the death of the town’s corrupt sheriff and father of the woman he fell in love with years ago except she fell in love with his younger brother Aaron who had lots of issues and has passed away. Kody Lawton fell in love with Hill and his younger brother Aaron but when push came to shove she chose the younger brother. Hill backed off and left town but now he’s back to investigate her dad‘s death and all the old feelings arise again but can she open her heart, leave the past behind and let her love shine through… Suspense, tragedy, anger, longing, mystery and a love everlasting are just some of the things you will find in this book.

Small town, second chance romantic suspense. I love, love, LOVED everything about this small-town, second chance, romantic suspense story! Hill Gamble is a tough Alpha Texas Ranger, but he is completely turned to mush by love. “He was trying to get me to think things through when all I wanted to do was rage. When I wanted to burn the world down, Aaron was right beside me with matches and a can of gasoline. Hill was the one standing behind both of us with a fire extinguisher and the reminder that we could be burned by the flames.” Kody Lawton is a strong and stubborn heroine with a hard shell she has put up around her heart. “The hurt I had was comfortable. I wasn’t ready to let go of it yet...” This is one of those books where it was hard to find a quote or two to use in my review only because I highlighted SO MANY! I absolutely adored this story and the writing. “I thought I heard him swear under his breath, but it was possible it was just my name. He often said it like a curse.” I sort of jumped in not realizing that UNFORGIVEN is book 2 in the Loveless, Texas series and that while the main story is standalone there are lots of story strings that connect them and I can’t wait to read more!! Book 3 is about the bad boy MC leader... I’m HOOKED!! -5 Stars!-

Love is a Gamble. Riveting and a rush of love! Jay Crownover once again makes me want to relocate to a small town full of eligible cowboys to find “the one.” Really enjoyed this third book in the series. I can’t wait for Blacklisted to find out what happens next!!!

AMAZING!!. WOW!!! I loved my introduction to Loveless but this book took that love to a whole new level!! The angst level is super high with this book and at times I cried so much, I had no choice but to walk away for a minute. I am so excited for the next book in this series!! I need some Shot in my life ASAP!!

Sexy Cowboy Suspense Romance. Absolutely loved this book!!! I was looking forward to it since the I finished the first book! Hill was the perfect hero for Kody. Those two deserved an HEA! Hill and Kody have known each other practically their whole lives. These two have a past but not as lovers but as friends & Kody dates his younger brother. Hill came back into town to help with the murder of Kody’s father. This book holds a lot of drama, tension, and angsty! I enjoyed watching these two finally get their HEA and the suspense along side that! I highly recommend this book!! I can NOT express how I’m dying for Shot’s book next!!! Read this now! I was given an advanced copy from netgalley & readforeverpub for an honest review!
