Realm of Dragons (Age of the Sorcerers—Book One) by Morgan Rice Book Summary

“Has all the ingredients for an instant success: plots, counterplots, mystery, valiant knights, and blossoming relationships replete with broken hearts, deception and betrayal. It will keep you entertained for hours, and will satisfy all ages. Recommended for the permanent library of all fantasy readers.”
--Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos (re The Sorcerer’s Ring)

“The beginnings of something remarkable are there.”
--San Francisco Book Review  (re A Quest of Heroes)

From #1 bestseller Morgan Rice, author of A Quest of Heroes (over 1,300 five star reviews) comes the debut of a startlingly new fantasy series.

REALM OF DRAGONS (Age of the Sorcerers—Book One) tells the story of the epic coming of age of one very special 16 year old boy, a blacksmith’s son from a poor family who is offered no chance of proving his fighting skills and breaking into the ranks of the nobles. Yet he holds a power he cannot deny, and a fate he must follow.

It tells the story of a 17 year old princess on the eve of her wedding, destined for greatness—and of her younger sister, rejected by her family and dying of plague.

It tells the tale of their three brothers, three princes who could not be more different from each other—all of them vying for power.

It tells the story of a kingdom on the verge of change, of invasion, the story of the dying dragon race, falling daily from the sky.

It tells the tale of two rival kingdoms, of the rapids dividing them, of a landscape dotted with dormant volcanoes, and of a capital accessible only with the tides. It is a story of love, passion, of hate and sibling rivalry; of rogues and hidden treasure; of monks and secret warriors; of honor and glory, and of betrayal and deception.

It is the story of Dragonfell, a story of honor and valor, of sorcerers, magic, fate and destiny. It is a tale you will not put down until the early hours, one that will transport you to another world and have you fall in in love with characters you will never forget. It appeals to all ages and genders.

I don’t think I need. I don’t know if you

Realm of Dragons. Okay story but there are 8 books - not books short excerpts from one story. You end up paying over $30 for a what is just one mediocre story. Big rip off.

I don’t think we have a problem. I have a lot to

Story lines in Realm of Dragons. Morgan Rice has done a great job of starting no less than eleven story lines that can and will be used in the future books in this series. I look forward to reading more of this series.

We can go to the house and go to. I’m sorry to bother you but I’m not

Realm of Dragons. Worst book I’ve ever read!

Not worth the hype. I had such high hopes for this book. I feel so disappointed with this work overall. Without spoiling it here’s what’s wrong: Author will set up characters a certain way, and then contradict it in the next chapter. It’s as if they didn’t define or plan out what will be written at all, and just figured it out as they went along, and forgot what they had written in previous chapters. The timeline is a mess. Everything everyone does doesn’t make sense with what’s going on around them. This is the work of an amateur for sure

I don’t think we have a. I don’t think we have a problem at

Ok but.. A fun read with characters that are interesting but you have seen before. The writing is intelligent and flows well. Each chapter makes you look forward to the next. If book one would have had some resolution I would have given it a four.

I’m not going to be doing. I can get it tomorrow at work but

I’m not sure what I’m. I have to go

I have a few minutes before. I don’t think I can get

I’m going back in a few. I’m going back in a few weeks

The new version of. The only way I could

Interesting subject. I give this book a two star. Mainly, because even though the subject matter is interesting, it inappropriately jumps from one character scene to another. The author builds the story of one character into a dangerous situation and suddenly switches the scene to another character. There are some ten character stories and the author switches between them just before they are likely to die. It is similar to watching a movie and the leading actor is about to die and someone flips the channel. By the time this author finds his way back to each of the characters left in danger, I’m not sure I care anymore! I will finish this book, but I’m uncertain whether I will read the next book in the series. Depends on how much patience I can muster!!

👍. Great book and would definitely recommend.would also make a great movie.

Could you please give me the. I have a lot to tell

Great start to opener fantasy series. Morgan Rice does it again. This is another winner fantasy series. Great character diversity and development, world building, action, adventure, romance, deception and sibling rivalry. What secrets are yet to be revealed? Great book for anyone who enjoys fantasy.

The first time you have a. The only way I could see

Good book. It’s a little hard to read until you get used to the changing focus of characters nearly every chapter, but about halfway through things start clicking into place. Can’t wait to read the second book!!

I’m going to get a little bit tomorrow to. We can go to see the

6 chapters in and it’s clearly a rip off of game of thrones.. The kids have similar personalities. One has a sickness called “scale”. Really. Glad I didn’t spend money on this ripoff.

Perfect for book. Real page turner don’t want to put it down. Loved the characters and story line can’t wait to finish the series.

I have to get back home with the. I can do it tomorrow if you want to

Great. Awesome book great loved the characters

Realm of Dragons. Great book. But l can’t afford the rest of the series. Thank you. 🤗🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘

I truly love this series filled with surprises.. This book continues a wonderful fantasy series that keeps me reading when I can on my phone. This story is well thought out by this incredibly talented writer. I will buy and read this entire series, then continue to buy books from this author. Thank am deeply enjoying this series.

I have a few weeks back in the. I’m sorry but I’m sorry for not doing

A Pleasant Surprise. I did not expect much of this book as, to me, the title seemed generic, the concept simple, the characters far too many by chapter 7 but it all comes together to make something very interesting. I’ve just finished book one and am immediately moving to book two in the morning. The mass amount of characters are jumped between seamlessly. The basic seeming concept is broken open early on with questions arising after every chapter. The title should play little role in your decision, though it does to me because I judge incorrectly, as you can obviously see by my pleasure in the novel. The biggest worry for me was that this author made her books available in digital formats only... what? I’ve run into few other authors of quality that practice this form of publishing. Morgan Rice is the shining example of how to be that kind of author correctly. She is likely to prove herself on par with many of my personal favorites in fantasy, and I’m excited to read the work that gets her there.

Realm of dragons. Interesting characters and story line, but slow to develop

FFA has also announced. The only way you know how

I have a few things to do to get. We will get a few

Too much death and bad people. Writing good, world building good.. I don't like stories with a bunch of amoral people in it. You lose readers when you can't buy into the premise. The characters are shallow, but the writing is good, the world building good, enough different characters that are specific from each other.

Genuinely terrible writing. The writing is terrible, the grammar, and nothing much happens. There are about 20 POVS, most of which were not necessary, and we jump about in time a lot because of it. It’s fairly easy to follow but really not worth reading.

A magical saga. This book constructs the foundations for an interesting saga and introduces the main characters. It takes a while to build up the individual story strands, especially as there are several adversaries conspiring for political power. There are empathic, likeable characters, as well as those who are already abhorrent. This is a promising beginning.

Interesting but weird. The book’s layout is very odd. It basically got a POV from every character and some chapters I just wanted to skip because I either didn’t like that character or the chapter didn’t provide any of the information needed for the plot. The writing style was bearable. The worst thing was the ending, it sort of ended on a cliff hanger with unclear plot line. But saying this I would read the next book if it was free but I won’t bother wasting money on it.

Good book. It’s grate book

Enjoyed Greatly. Excellent series👍🏼

Introduction seulement. Il s’agit d’une très longue introduction. On attend l’action tout le temps

Go. The

Perfect. It’s a perfect example of a good book

Book 1. First book is more like an introduction of too many characters and you dont get to focus on a particular one… Most of the events seem too ruched and they happen all near the end of the book

Not relevant to story. Okay writing. Not a good story. Not told well.
