I like the book but…. I really like this book and the Roommate Duet Series. But just like with Liam and Maddie…Tyler also lust after a MINOR. I know the relationship’s didn’t happen until they were of age but still. It’s weird to read a grown man having feelings and sexual thoughts about high school girls. Kinda gross. But I love everything else about the books.

“Gemma is everything I’ve ever wanted, but don’t deserve.”. Keeping You Away” is an amazing book and is the perfect beginning to Kennedy Fox’s new Ex-Con Duet Series. I found it captivating, exciting, and definitely a page turner. From the first page I was fascinated by the story of a man who wanted to start over and the woman he allowed to get away many years ago. I was familiar with Tyler’s character and I was eagerly anticipating his story. Tyler is a complex man who proudly served his country and unfortunately, also served time in prison. He is a true friend, a hard worker and is devoted to his sister, Everleigh. Moving back home was his only option, and Tyler hoped he would be accepted back into the community. His biggest fear was seeing Gemma again. She had always been in his heart, but he knew that forgiveness may not be in the cards for him. Being around Gemma every day would test his patience, his courage and his heart. Tyler wondered if Gemma could ever forgive him, and would he be able to accept that she only wanted to be friends. Can Tyler and Gemma forget about the past or will their memories be too strong to ignore?

These characters just keep getting better and better!. These characters just keep getting better and better! I was extremely excited when these authors announced Tyler’s story especially after the explosive ending in the last duet involving his character! Reluctantly returning to his hometown after getting out of prison, Tyler isn’t too happy with his circumstances but is trying to move on and fight the urge to get revenge. Part of why he wasn’t happy to return home is how he left things the last time he was there with Gemma. Gemma was absolutely in love with Tyler as a teenager, but wasn’t willing to leave her family behind. Finally moved on and engaged to a new man, her feelings bubble back up to the surface once Tyler returns and even more so when she finds he’s working for her father. The back and forth between these two along with the crazy chemistry had me so eager to see what happens between them! And of course the cliffhanger had me re-read it a few times to not only catch it but sit there stunned! I have so many questions not only with this couple but with Gemma’s brother as well and I can’t wait for Tyler and Gemma to be resolved but also hopefully the next duet involve her brother! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Keeping you away. Story was too dragged out. Worst of all it ends with a cliffhanger, wish I knew from the start😞

P.O’d. I didn’t realize it’s a cliffhanger. 😡 The story also takes a severe left turn early on in the story as if we should have known all of the backstory. My reaction was, “What!? Where did that come from?” Characters are introduced and not followed up on. Severely disappointed.☹️

Love love loved this!. Welllllll. Tyler’s story! FINALLY! I loved this. 2nd Chance romance meets intrigue! This story picks up when Tyler is released from prison. He heads home to work for his first love’s family business! I cannot wait for the conclusion to this awesome duet! Highly recommend.

Need More !!!. This is a fantastic read and I need book 2 NOW !! Tyler and Gemma has been writing to each other for five years while he had been in the Military. He makes the graduation, they have a summer romance, falling in love and Tyler just walked away without saying goodbye. Gemma has been waiting for Tyler to return but ends up in jail, she finally has a relationship and is now engaged. Tyler has returned and is working for Gemma’s dad Jerry at the garage. I really hate cliffhangers and this one GRRR !! I received a free copy of this book for an voluntary and honest review.

Half a book!!. I was so annoyed to find you have to buy another book to find out what happens. It’s not interesting enough and the writing is a bit irksome so I won’t be bothering. I do not recommend at all.

Great Read. Book one in the new Ex-Con Duet Series, this is Tyler and Gemma’s story and boy do they have a tale to tell. As soon as I read the blurb for this book I knew I needed to read it, I was excited and it did not disappoint, it was everything I expected and more. I haven’t meet Tyler before but I do understand he is a character from a previous book, that being said having not met Tyler took nothing away from this great read but I will go back and read the previous duet as soon as time permits. Tyler is back in his hometown after being in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, he is ready to start again and that means going back to his roots. Gemma grew up with Tyler always around because her best friend is his younger sister and when he joined the military it was Gemma who wrote to him but when he left the services he realised he couldn’t live in the town he grew up in and that meant leaving Gemma behind. Fast forward 12 years and Gemma is engaged to be married, she is convinced she is over her first love but what happens when she comes face to face with the man who stole her heart .....has fate given Tyler and Gemma a second chance.... This book ticked all my boxes, it’s has characters you can’t help loving, it has a story that draws you in and doesn’t let you go, the chemistry is intense and off the charts and it has the perfect mix of passion and drama. What can I say about the ending apart from I CANNOT WAIT to see how Tyler and Gemma’s romance pans out and I can’t wait to catch up with the secondary characters who are all adorable in their own right.

I have read all Of Kennedy Fox’s books (some more than once) and this is CLASSIC KF❤️ I fell for Tyler in the roomate diet series, I am OBSESSED now that I’ve read “Keeping you away” and I cannot WAIT until “Needing you close” 😫 I promise you will not regret reading this book!

The Kennedy Fox duo does it again!. Holy smokes, I don’t know how they do it with every duet! Kennedy Fox really leaves you hanging at the end there.
