Loosing Hope. Amazing touching! I loved hearing Holder's side of the story from his eyes. A touching story of lost friend found who saves a boy that feels completely hopeless. A sister gone who helps heal hearts broken in the past.

His View. I am so glad that you did the second book "Losing Hope" it was nice to be able to hear his side of the story. I love how you added things to this book that were not in the first book. I really enjoyed both books and I have to say it was one of those books that when you start reading it is hard to put it down. This book is a great love story with an extra twist. Thanks for a great book! I will be reading all your books now.

Perfectly perfect. I did not want the first book to be over so when I discovered that this was from Holder’s perspective I was so excited. Fell more in love with him and this beautiful story. Such a great read.

Hopeless romantic. When I finished hopeless I was so excited to read losing hope. Unfortunately, the book even had the same dialog word by word... I had to shop a lot of the book because I has already read it in hopeless.... I with Colleen would have done this on a different manner in order to make the book interesting. The best part of the book was the ending, it was really the only new part of the story.

Loved it!. One of my favorite books ever, along with Hopeless, of course! Holder and Sky were amazing characters and I wish there was more to read about them. This book was so emotional on many levels, fantastic!

DEAN HOLDER. this guy has my heart let me tell you. Soft and intense. His journal entries are interesting to read. Love reading his thought process and hear more about Les. enjoying this series more and more

What a depressing book. I guess I don’t need to read about tragic situations that aren’t even true. I found it very depressing, I couldn’t even finish it…

Shockingly beautiful. Shockingly sad in the beginning but well worth hanging in there. Colleen Hoover has an incredible talent for reeling you in and having all the twists and turns map themselves out perfectly. Amazing book! Highly recommend it!

Losing Hope. As good as “Hopeless”

Review: Hopeless #2: Losing Hope. Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover is the second book in the Hopeless series. Where Hopeless was tragically beautiful, Losing Hope was beautifully tragic. Both books have a HEA (Happily Ever After) as they are essentially both the same story from different POV's (Points Of View). In Losing Hope we get Holder's perspective. Who he was prior to and right after his sisters suicide, and what was happening with him when he first met Sky. To see what was going on inside the head of that beautiful specimen of man was a real treat. Lacey's journal - the back pages... Well that was a real twist. When Holder finally manages to deal with that, to read the contents, the redemption he's granted is priceless. If you loved Hopeless then you really owe it to yourself to get Holder's side of the tale. A pleasanter ear only slightly lee angst-filled as I already knew most of the details from the previous story and was prepared. I love pop culture references in books...It may not be deliberate, but for me this is a Barney from How I Met Your Mother reference. “Your logic terrifies me,” she says. “I sort of don’t find you attractive anymore.” Challenge accepted. I slowly slide on top of her, careful to hold my weight up with my hands. If my body were to touch any part of hers right now, we’d already be moving on to seconds and thirds. “You sort of don’t find me attractive?” I say, staring straight down into her eyes. “That can also mean you sort of do find me attractive.” -Holder & Sky

I loved reliving this story thru the eyes of Holder.. I love being inside Dean's head reading his journal entries. This story is about Dean and how he deals with losing both Hope and Les. Colleen handles these sensitive subject matters with great precision. High school is tough and I've never personally known someone to die during that time so this is a new experience for me. Colleen has covered all the bases. Colleen adds a nice balance to this story considering the topic of death and kidnapping. There's humor mixed in with grief. There's anger mixed in with happiness. There's fighting mixed in with loving. There's intimacy mixed in with cheating. I read Hopeless maybe 3 years ago and have wanted to read Losing Hope for those 3 years. I am amazed how easily all the information came back so simply. It was as if I read it yesterday. That story imprinted itself on my mind forever. I'm not one to remember details of a story but this one is still fresh in my mind. It has a draw to me. It touched my heart. Holder is playing the part of a patient guy and its intoxicating. The flirting is seductive. I'm imprinting each moment in my mind. I love how Holder wants every moment to have meaning. Each shared encounter ship has to be relevant. I'm driven crazy by the sweet torture of Holder and his appreciation for Sky when he's adoring her. I'm so wrapped up this story for a second time and I can't pull myself away. There is no part of the story that is easy to step away from. From one chapter to the next I find myself eagerly turning the pages. I love Holders character. I find Colleen has a way of capturing the innocence of a young male character. It's so sweet and pure. It makes me ache to have that tenderness. Colleen you have a brilliant mind. I can see why people love you so much. You have this ability to look at all possible scenarios. You are like the devils advocate. Someone who can understand every possible path and give clarity to that perspective. That's what draws the reader. It's emotional and dynamic.

Amazing!. This was the third Colleen Hoover book I read in a three day time span!!! I’m hooked! I’ve read five now in the last few months, and am about to start another this second.

Hopeless. OMG! This book kept me on the edge of my chair! The story makes you cry and gives you hope that Sky will be ok after everything she has gone through. I really enjoyed both hopeless and losing hope!!!!

Repetitive. I really liked Hopeless and felt it was filled with emotion and well drawn out characters. However, I am more than confused by the reviews for Losing Hope. I am struggling to reach the end. While I like reading Holder's POV, I think it really could have been done in a much better way by being included in Hopeless, perhaps as alternating chapters between Sky and Holder. The way it is done by itself in Losing Hope, it is like reading 3/4 of the same exact story over again, with bits of Holder thrown in the mix. Honestly, if I weren't so far into this already, I probably wouldn't bother finishing it. It's really a shame since Holder is an excellent character and I enjoyed Hopeless immensely.

Beautiful.. I fell in love with hopeless & once I found Losing Hope, I was ecstatic! Hoover is an incredible writer, she def has become my top-fave--must-drop-everything-when-she-releases-a-new-book-author. It's been a while since I've read hopeless, and after reading this, it took me on a whole nother ride, leaving me speechless. I think it was beautifully written, the ending brought a tear to my eye. And honestly, Hoover has been one of the only authors that ever made me cry. Read her other books as well! They will not disappoint!! Thank you Colleen!

Favorite Book This Year!!. This book is amazing. The story of sky and holder is a masterpiece. The amount of love and sadness in this one book give me chills. I have never had a book make me cry like this book did. Even reading hopeless first didn’t make me feel like I did with this book. Holders side of the story is very powerful and it really shows you who he is. 10/10 I wish I could experience this book again for the first time.

Another Masterpiece Ms.Hoover!!!. I've just read so many romance novels..one after one and I adore my book but I'll never forget reading Hopeless...it literally blew me away ...so when it was time for Losing Hope to come out (which I can't be more grateful for) .....again I was blown away....This genre of reading has so much talent (and some not so much :(...)but Ms.Hoover goes above and beyond with all her books...oh I've read all of them....you bring all your characters to live with word you write....I was pretty excited bc this book gave me a reason to reread Hopeless...it's been a long time...then I dove into this one and the 2 diff POV's and how you presented it was once again truly incredible! This author has a gift and not just a talent and I will look forward to every single book she will ever write....speaking of which...that leaves me to a GENIUS idea....so you introduced a new character in this book that had me in tears laughing so hard and you left it SO OPEN with a potential storyline ( closet nap/crying ) ....my wish....a book about him and a certain girl who I loved from Hopeless with the name that's a number bf Six ;) technically ... come on....you just have to...it's way too good and then you can add a little Holder and Sky in for our fix and all is well with the axis of the earth again :) WELL DONE! BEYOND MUST READ...more like DON'T THINK JUST BUY!!!!!!

Hoover did it again!. This book was amazing. I LOVED hopeless so much. Colleen Hoover is my favorite author! With slammed and point of retreat I knew this series was going to be amazing but this book literally blew me out of the waters. I was laughing and then crying a second later. This story is just amazing and I couldn't have been satisfied more!

Beyond great. I read "Hopeless" and "Losing Hope" in 2 days because I couldn't put these books down. You will go through an emotional roller coaster reading them but that's what keeps you reading. I don't remember ever reading a book where I LOL so much and then cried just as much but I loved every minute of it! The love that Holder and Sky share is beyond moving and heartwarming and everyone wishes they loved someone like they love each other. The only problem I had with these books is that they ended! I wish there was a 3rd book so we could see their life years later but unfortunately I know all good things must come to an end. Thank you for writing such incredible books and taking me on my emotional roller coaster and thank you for sharing Sky and Holders story of hope, fear, loss, trust, friendship, but most importantly, LOVE! Everyone should read these books!

Great changes with the reverse POV. I really like Holders POV in this book. I think if you liked Hopeless you will Love this one too!

Surprisingly unique. When I read Hopeless, I couldn't put it down. When I saw this book, I was skeptical, expecting it to repeat a lot of chapters from Hopeless. The handful of scenes that were replayed gave me an entertaining perspective from Holder's pov. I went back to Hopeless and reread those scenes. This book is a wonderful read & I will look forward to the next books by Coleen Hoover.
