Love this series!. A storyline with engaging characters with emotional baggage they are each trying to deal with. The emotional connection between Cormac and Keelie is intense, and has some ups and downs as they let down their walls and open up to each other. Leslie’s trust issues, while understandable, almost destroy their relationship before it can really begin. I loved how close the players and their significant others were, and how excited they were to see Cormac find his special someone. I laughed at Cormac’s friend Maxim and his reaction to Keelie’s scary teacher voice. I’m interested to see what Alexa has in store for us next with this series. Great read. I loved every page of this story! This hockey romance has tons of feels but still a light hearted touch with some serious angst! A perfect blend to draw you in and clutch at your heart! I love books that feel so real and have such power in the story. I also love the she female lead is an occupational therapist for a school. It’s a job you don’t see much and it lends so much heart to story!

Heartwarming. Another Shot (ARC) by Alexa Padgett: 4 stars Keelie and Cormac have both been hurt and have a difficult time letting go of the pain, and learning to trust again. Their story is heartwarming as their relationship progresses, but also encompassing roadblocks and doubts along the way. There’s several notable quotes, but this one is my favorite: I found people who supported me, who loved me enough to give back to me—to want my happiness as much as, and maybe more than, their own. —PTators

Love love love!. I loved this addition to the series. It’s amazing to see how this team/family comes together. Alexa has a way of writing her side characters to make you want a book for everyone!!!!

Blindsided. Blindsided… This one blindsided me, in a totally good way. Cornac wants kids. Unfortunately, five years ago, his ex wife did not. Things went down and he ended up in Houston. Turns out, that was a good thing, cuz five years after his divorce, he meets Keelie, a special needs teacher who also wants kids. She’s got past issues with her parents. All I can say is that Cormac is a true gem and I definitely want more hockey players just like Cornac. Recommend.

An enjoyable read!. Cormac thought his world had ended when he was sent to Houston from Toronto but in fact building a team gave him focus and purpose. He was divorced from Shannon and life went on, but seeing Keelie on a school skating trip made him reconsider how he felt about relationships. Keelie had made a life for herself away from her parents and was determined to make life work. Meeting Cormac threatened everything she had built. Can they find away to work it out or will people interfere? No spoilers get reading and enjoy. I received an arc for an honest review,all views are my own

Absolutely Amazing, Emotional and Addictive Read. This is book one in The Wildcatters Hockey Series and it is Keelie and Cormac's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Keelie has had such a hard life and after having her heart broken again she vows not to let it happen again and now she has built a wall around her heart that is so high so no one can penetrate them and it seems to be working. When Cormac's life with his wife when done the pan costing him his team and position in Toronto he was sent to play for The Wildcatters Hockey Team in Houston so he made the best of what he could and restarted his career and life in a new house and new place and had no intentions of ever going back but the one thing that he wants the most is a family but that wouldn't be happening any time soon. When Keelie and Cormac met the attraction and chemistry between them was instant and strong but they both have baggage, trust issue's and have been through so much and many ups and downs but there love is so strong that eventually it brings them back together and they get the happy ending that they both deserve. I absolutely loved Cormac's team of friend's who became there family and gave them all the love and support that they needed. This book takes you in right from the first page and was so addictive that it kept your attention throughout and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series and I recommend you read this book and you will definitely not be disappointed. Trust Issues. I really felt for Cormac and what he had been through and how he had managed to get himself on an even keel after five years apart from his ex. He was so likeable, upfront and honest. Keelie whilst admirable with how she had survived her childhood and her worthy job, seemed less likeable as Cormac was having to constantly reassure her and still she didn’t trust him. I did however find this an enjoyable read and will read more by this author. Disclaimer: I was gifted this book in a competition held by the author.

Delicious slow-burn romance. This is a rather delicious slow-burn romance with two people you can’t help but love. Tough pro hockey player, Cormac, has a soft centre that he hides very well, especially after his ex wife ripped out his heart and stomped on it. It’s been years since his divorce, no dating, no relationships other than the friendships he has with his teammates. It takes just one meeting with a shy, compassionate beauty to reawaken his frozen heart. Kellie is an occupation therapist who helps her young students build their skills so that they can flourish and become part of a regular classroom. She also avoids relationships with the opposite sex and has few friends. Her childhood experiences have left her with deep trust issues. Meeting Cormac and seeing him interact with her young student sets off some sparks, but his reputation makes her very wary. Cormac is nothing if not determined, so he begins a slow, measured and thoughtful pursuit of Kellie. Their chemistry is white hot, but rather than rush her and risk scaring her off, he takes it slow, gets to know her and shows her he is sincere and looking for a lifetime of love not just a fling. Keeling and Cormac!. Keelie has only seen the destructive side of love and she is determined to protect herself from experiencing it again. She has a career she enjoys and thought she was content with her life until a sexy hockey shows her what has been missing but she worries that he will hurt her like everyone who has come before him. Cormac is a professional hockey player who almost lost his hockey career when his marriage ended. He hasn't been interested in allowing a woman into his heart or his life since then but when he meets Keelie he knows she is special and now he needs to convince her that she trust him to be the one person who will stay. From their first meeting there was no denying the chemistry and connection between Cormac and Keelie. They both have pasts to overcome but with trust, understanding and love they showed they were meant to be together. I am really enjoying this series and looking forward to the next series.
