Filthy Wolf by Liza Street Book Summary

This broody wolf shifter thought he'd never find his true mate. But a human woman is about to prove him wrong.

Jessica, a human, doesn't know what to believe when an ill-advised trek through the woods lands her in a supernatural territory filled with dangerous shapeshifters. One man in particular makes her heart go pitter-patter, but he's brusque and bossy and pushes her away at every turn. That can't be love, can it?

Wolf shifter Marcus doesn't do friendship—not since his buddy died. He doesn't do packs—not since he had to kill one of his own packmates. And he sure as hell doesn't do mates—not since the last woman he loved rejected him. But Jessica is turning everything he believed upside down, and he'll do whatever it takes—make friends, form a pack, and even fall in love—to protect her.

Filthy Wolf is the second standalone book in the Junkyard Shifters series. It features a wounded hero, a feisty heroine, and all kinds of naughty language and sessytimes. Embrace the "trashy" in "trashy romance" and buy your copy today!

Filthy Wolf. Getting lost in the woods leads Jessica to the discovery of an entirely new world where she finds danger and fear, but also self growth and love. The Junkyard magically imprisons shifters sent there by their alphas. Marcus is a wolf shifter who believes he belongs there and no longer believes in love - no matter what he feels when he sees Jessica. This is an exciting series with great characters. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.

A unique shifters book. A type of prison for shifters that people can enter but not leave. I loved Marcus. It was so well written that I could feel his pain. I wish we had gotten more of Jessica’s backstory. The banter between the two was great. He does everything he can to protect her and her friend and she does what she can ti protect him. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

Love this book. I love this series, I can’t wait to read book 3 and see what happens next. Wonderful and very talented writer, can’t wait to read some more of her work.

Sweet Junkyard Romance. I love Liza’s writing style! She’s amazing with the sweet and quirky humor, her characters are relatable. This is no exception, Marcus and Jessica was a slow build to an explosive ending. Who doesn’t love a good HEA? This entire series is terrific! Definitely recommend this!

A shifter tale with so much heart. This quick read has it all; action, suspense, spicy romance, touching personal growth, and witty banter that will have you cracking up. When two human women stumble into the shifter prison some of these inmates could make them wish for death. Jessica finds her strength when she has to fight with and for Marcus in the junkyard. She may be human and him a shifter but together they make each other better. Still it will be a miracle for her to escape because he doesn’t believe he deserves to get out. A sweet fun read.

Really Enjoyed the Book. This is the third book that I have read in the series and I have enjoyed every one of them so far. The story is well written and the characters are all so different but really interesting. I will most definitely read the other books in the series.

Fun, Quick Shifter Read!!. Jessica and her friend accidentally wander into the Junkyard, a place for shifters who can’t function in society, and are stuck due to the magic of the line. Jessica and Marcus were perfect together! They were a bit too stubborn at times, but their chemistry together was fire! The story is a pretty quick read, not too long. It flows well together, and the story is heavy on the romance/romantic elements with not too much developing a complex plot. This is not the first book in the series, but it is not necessary to read any others to understand this story. Though, after reading this, I’ll check them out!

A growly tortured guy who is saved by love - swoon. I loved watching Marcus and Jessica get to their HEA. Marcus is a wolf shifter who is trapped in the Junkyard after killing another shifter. The only way to leave is to find your mate. Jessica is human whose parents are famous authors. After getting tired of a writing workshop she did not want to be in with an unpleasant director, Jessica and her friend Blythe accidentally enter the Junkyard and get stuck inside the magical barrier. As Marcus tries to protect Jessica and try to get her released, their feelings continue to deepen. Their journey to their HEA unfolds beautifully and organically as they spend time together to waiting for Jessica to be released from the Junkyard. The story includes what you’d expect from this genre - sweet moments, sexy times, fighting, dangerous situations, supernatural creatures, evil actors, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, real life issues, imperfect characters, laughs, and all the love. The story included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow with a small amount of angst, and an engaging storyline. I am looking forward to reading more in this series.

Another great story!. While this book wasn't as action-packed or seem as dangerous as the previous books, not to me at least, it was still a really great read. In this volume we get to learn more about Marcus. After the last book, Filthy Beast, I felt bad for him because you could tell he had feelings for Lena, but she chose Carter. The Carter and Lena left the Junkyard, which left Marcus alone, especially since Kyle had died. This book starts by giving us an update on Marcus since Carter and Lena's departure from the Junkyard. We also get our first introduction to the lead female character of this book, Jessica. Jessica is a human woman who is staying at a writer's retreat not far from the Junkyard. Her and her frined, Blythe, find themselves stranded and captive within the Junkyard after a mishap at the retreat finds them kicked out. After accidentally wandering over the boundary of the Junkyard barrier, the two women find themselves in a world of trouble.Good thing is that some of the guys in the Junkyard are not as bad as their reputation make them out to be. Like Jase and Marcus and even Stetson. Marcus start out by simply wanting to do the right thing, but he soon develops feeling for Jessica. He doesn't believe he deserves a mate or a way out of the Junkyard, but Fate seems to have other plans for him and Jessica. Blythe, I think, has also met her match in Jase. I'm really enjoying my time in the Junkyard series and I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book.

Terrific second book in series. I really enjoyed the way these two interacted with each other. Marcus and Jessica tease and flirt … it’s just too cute. I liked getting to know about Marcus and Jessica is so smart, sassy and funny. Set in the Junkyard, where there is a decent vs bad already going on, Marcus tries to keep Jessica safe. His feelings grow for her and she feels similarly. Unfortunately Jessica is found out to be living in the Junkyard - fighting, plotting and team work go in to try and save her. I really enjoyed the second book and look forward to reading what the other Junkyard members have in store for them. Highly recommend!

Great book!!. Another great book in The Junkyard!! I’m loving this series!! It has made me laugh multiple times!!

Excellent. The characters draw you into their story seamlessly. Love it and will be reading others in the series now too.

Filthy Wolf. I originally read another Junkyard shifter book with Carter and really enjoyed it. I was really glad to have the opportunity to read about Marcus. Again very enjoyable, I love the characters, the numerous different names made me giggle and also that the women are not simpering females. Hopefully I will get to read the next one soon.

Soooo good. So this series just keeps getting better! Great characters and an engaging storyline make for a fantastic read. Recommended

Marcus and Jessica. The second book in this series is full of danger, emotions, steamy connections and fair amount of witty banter and humour. Marcus and Jessica have an interesting way of getting to know each other, but it is how they connect that really saves them. Jessica may be only human but she sure goes well in defending herself against some pretty evil shifters. I hope that the next book sees Blythe find a way out of the junkyard.

Very enjoyable. Jessica and Marcus were such fun. The story jumps straight in and there is action and drama from the go. I really loved the banter between Jessica and Marcus, and the realisation of their relationship.
