Beautiful writing. I really enjoyed this book. It was sexy, sad, exciting, and chaotic all at the same time. It dug up emotions that I didn’t know were buried deep inside. Caused me to think about who I really am. Loveeeeed it!

Great story concept. Found this book hard to keep turning the page until about halfway through. A lot of character background but once you understand what’s going on it becomes a great book!

Love. Love. Love.. Where do I start?! This book was just… amazing! Good. I didn’t know where we were going in the first chapters but once we got there I didn’t want it to end. I just loved the story between Eva and Shane. The love. The friendship. And Audre who just saw how happy her mom was and opened Shane with open arms into their family. Bravo! Is it too much to ask for a sequel?!

I want more!!. This book was BEAUTIFUL!! Funny, emotional, broken, healed, etc. Tia did an outstanding job writing this book. I didn’t want it to end. Where do Eve and Shane go from here?!

Excellent Read. This book reignited a love for reading in me that I’d forgotten I had. A romance between two tormented souls who have found solace in each other and each page begs you to see more of what will transpire between them. Williams does an excellent job of building these characters into two individuals you care about, but even more want to see be successful together. The perfect storm of romance, dramatics, and humor. I cannot say enough how much I loved this book.

Unforgettable. It’s been months and I can’t stop thinking about this book. Tremendous read.

Great storytelling. Loved it. The character building was so well done. I felt like I knew exactly who every character was from main characters, to fringe characters. I couldn’t put it down, I was so invested. The ending didn’t disappoint. I enjoyed and felt every high and every low. Bravo!

Breathtaking Blackness. This was such a wonderful book from beginning to end. I did not want this story to finish. The characters were relatable & I could connect with the current day theme & setting. I could not put this book down. This is a must read.

Slow in the beginning. I wanted to love this book because of the great reviews but in my opinion it was an OK read. The themes were dark, the love was definitely profound but it took too long to get to the live story and it dragged out for me.

Shane and Eva💕. This book was beautiful. A story about two tortured souls who keep finding one another. Shane and Eva’s love is beautiful and raw. The way they were able to just see each other from the very beginning was perfect. He was hers and she was his no matter the time or distance. I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone that is easily triggered because they are all over. But if you can make past all of that there is a beautiful store about black love and choosing love no matter how hard.

Enjoyed it but.... Would have enjoyed it more had the author not have pushed politics. I don't think I'm alone to say when I pick up a book, it's to escape the world not be constantly reminded of it. To escape and immerse myself into the story. The blatant liberal/woke political pushing was unnecessary and would have been picked up/understood by context. Which would have been ok. So no, even though I liked her style, I won't be pocking up another book of hers. It was ANNOYING.

Interesting love!. This book is a modern version of black love. It story is so beautiful it is the twist between Love Jones and Romeo & Juliet. I was rooting for Eva and Shane ( the main characters) throughout the book. I like also their maturity in exploring their relationship. I really enjoyed this book recommended by Reese’s book club Hello sunshine!

Favourite read of the summer. I bought this book when it was announced for the Reese's book club but haven't gotten around to read it till today and I completely devoured this book in a day. In make no sense how I couldn't stop reading. This is my first read from Tia Williams and it was amazing. Will be looking forward to her other novels. Beautiful writing style. I absolutely LOVED the fact that we were getting different points of view all throughout the book. This was/is a beautiful love story. I really fell in love with Shane Hall, he might be my favourite character after Audre. I won't describe this as a "cute love story" because, even though it is a romance novel, it isn't quite "cute". It might be cute in some sense, but there's really more to it. There's pain, hurt and, of course, love, but a complicated one. Like I said earlier, this is my first book I'm reading from Tia but I absolutely fell in love with her writing style. My favourite read of the summer.
