Binge worthy. Finished in 2 days !!

Cute story but. The ebook version doesn’t have the chapters titled. I guess it switches point of view. It’s very hard to keep track of what’s going on. I couldn’t finish it.

It Happened One Summer. Could have been a sweet story but the ridiculous sex scenes were a real turn off.

A MUST READ.. Oh my gosh. On the end of your seat type of love story. 10/10 LOVED.

Amazing. I LOVED ! LOVED ! this book so dang much ! I could not put it down I did not go to sleep until 11AM the NEXT day and then took a hour nap and woke up just to read AGAIN ! This book is amazing , it’s so dang amazing . It’s just amazing ! I felt like i was watching a movie and screaming at the screen the whole time ! I moved . I laughed , I cried , I screamed , I almost broke my face by smiling so dang much . It’s a wondering book , just wondering ! I was praying that this book didn’t have a female walk away from happiness like all the other romantic books and it didn’t and i loved that ! instead it had the girl fight for happiness , fight for what she wanted with the fears involved . Oh , Oh i’ve loved it ! I’ve absolutely, positively , loved it . Oh .

Relatable. Pipers personality is so relatable and the love story is so well written. I definitely enjoyed this book.

Easy Read. Very easy read, the story line was a little shallow at times but overall enjoyed the book!

Just no. Could’ve been a really good love story but the dialogue and spicy scenes were SO cringey. I only finished it because I’m not a quitter but it was painful.

Two Stars…. I desperately wanted to like this, but just couldn’t. The plot and characters were good, but the dialogue was so juvenile.

A- MAZE- ING. Just finished and it’s a 10/10 read. The plot is good and really easy to follow. A great love story that makes your heart so happy. Something happens and your heart hurts in chapters 30 and 31 but chapter 32 glues it back together. The spicy scenes are the right amount of spicy and not unrealistic. Will definitely have your heart racing in more places than your chest! But over all 10/10 reccomend

👍 Excellent!. I can’t say enough good things about this book. Sweet, funny, hot, sentimental, witty and romantic are just a few of the adjectives I would use to describe it. The storyline (a seemingly spoiled and shallow socialite is forced to spend three months in the hometown of her long deceased father, and she finds love there while discovering herself) is heads above what is typically found in this genre. All of the main and supporting characters are uniformly interesting and capture our hearts. Tessa Bailey, keep writing them like this.

Perfection. Im literally left with a giant gaping hole in my heart. I finished this and hook line and sinker in two days. I feel empty, and I NEED more. These were hands down the best books ive ever read. I could fully read them every day for the rest of my life. Ten out of Ten.

Couldn’t put it down. I think I read this in about a day! They balanced each other out so well and I’m glad he appreciated her for who she was and didn’t try to mold her into someone who fit the town mold better. They were captivating!

It was almost as if I was reading a dirty Hallmark😂 But seriously, I read this book all in one day and I will probably do it many more times. It kept my attention, my emotions, and my heart for the short few hours it was in my hand. You won’t regret reading this!

Hey, Siri, find me apartments for lease in Westport, WA. Let’s all just pretend for a moment that someone my age is supposed to read this book, and get passed our differences. It seems that, for some reason, I’m always traveling when I read a romance series that makes me want to chuck it into the nearest body of water. Unlucky for “It Happened One Summer” I was staying about 3 meters away from a lake in Scotland. Sadly, my brother beat me to it, and now my pages smell like hot-chocolate. Anyways, lets talk about how insufferable Tessa Bailey is when it comes to climax’s. And NO, I don’t mean the ones that happened about 2.3 trillion times in this book. I mean the literary climax, AKA when everything starts crashing down like a pile of fine china that was stacked way too high. So, the book has some build up to the climax, but it is so sprinkled and untouched that the actual climax seems almost… too abrupt? This might just be me, but when finishing this book on a train to London, my nails were creating creases in my palm. And I know that many call this good writing, so do I, but I still felt like I wasn’t worried enough before hand. I recommend Tessa Bailey to whoever wants a good ending… and I mean one that will make you stare into space, questioning your life choices to the point where you wonder if you’ve ever passed up someone as hot as Brendan Taggart. I didn’t cry, but my mom swore there was steam coming out of my ears. Characterization: 1 Plot: 1 Theme/Message: 1 Cliché: 0 Overall Enjoyment: 1

A MUST READ!. This was my first book I read by Tessa Bailey, and she changed the game. Her writing is everything from hilarious, witty, to vulgar and to the point. You will absolutely fall in love with Piper and Brenden… A great summer read. I couldn’t put this down and finished in two days.

Favorite read of 2021 so far!. Hysterical, steamy, and heartfelt enemies to lovers. I was hooked from the very start, and the chemistry between Piper and Brendan was off the charts! I really loved the character development and how both Piper and Brendan grew on their own and together through the book. Highly recommend this one! *I was sent an ARC prior to release in exchange for my honest review.

Great first book of Duology…I think that’s the word for a two book series lol. It was good. I really enjoyed this one. Felt like their romance gradually deepened. Main girl Piper was alright. I think I got annoyed at Hollywood lifestyle and behavior but she grew on me throughout the book. Brendan is hot but I felt he was lacking. Really grumpy to Piper’s sunshine. But he was fine overall. I gave it 4 stars out of 5.

HOTTTT. Took awhile for it to build up but once it did, I couldn’t put it down! I was looking for more of a spicy romantic book, compared to the PG ones I normally read, and this one did not disappoint. Love the character development and the non-cringy sexy love story.

Love love love. I read this book in one sitting. WONDERFUL

Didn’t love the characters.. This book just wasn’t my favorite. I honestly didn’t like the main characters. I love how there is someone out there for everyone and opposites attract and all, but I just didn’t love them. Sad, I know! Brenden was a bit obsessed with Piper even only after 5 days of meeting her. It could have been romantic, but it sounded a bit forced. On the other hand, Piper acted like a 16 year old instead of 26 year old adult. I know that was the point of her just being this overprivileged child, but she kind of seemed one dimensional toward the middle of the book. Honestly it could have been the beanie that threw me off from the get go Lol.

A sweet escape. Predictable but in a good way :) The characters were complex and well written. I assumed this would be the typical haters to lovers trope, but it was so much more. Easy to read and couldn’t put it down! I read this in less than a day it is THAT GOOD! A must read.

This book is everythingggg. Finished this in less than a day. Obsessed is an understatement. Great banter between characters, amazing character development, and super steamy scenes made for an addictive book. Will definitely read again and will read more from her!!!

Growly hero!. This book was such a surprise for me. I admit to judging the first couple chapters to be the typical enemies to lovers trope. I've read so many lately that sometimes they just blend into one book. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that while it started out that way, there was nothing typical about Piper and Brendan. It didn't take long for these two to stand out and make me love them. For a spoiled rich girl, Piper was extremely likable. I really enjoyed that she wasn't typical for the roll she was slated too. Yes she had a superficial lifestyle, but when she was put the to the test, she excelled better than I would have. She had spunk. She was kind. She drew strangers and made them feel special. She's exactly the kind of heroine I can root for. Brendan started out very growly, gruff, and even rude at first. And I loved every bit of his fall to Piper. The moment he decided he wasn't going to fight it, she didn't have a chance. No woman would. I adored how he pursued her. These two shouldn't have fit so well but they were perfect for each other. This is one of those books that had me smiling so big when I finished it. I really enjoyed it and I hope the sisters book will be just as good.

They were literally amazing together such good sibling love. Brendan was also an king man not going to lie at the beginning he was a bit of a dick but he grew so hey.

Surprisingly Amazing. I was stunned by this book! At first Piper annoyed me. I didn’t think the story would go anywhere with her being an “airhead” but man oh man, it got really good. Simply couldn’t put it down, read it all in one day.
