A Perfectly Okay Book. I know they say never judge a book by its cover, but if at first glance you assume Icebreaker is a mindless romance novel you’re correct. The plot was easy to guess, and I can’t say that there were any surprise twists or turns. It was fine, not my fav but I get why some people like it.

Predictable. If you like thinking it will happen and then reading it the next sentence, this is the book for you. Half of the book could have been eliminated if you took out the mirroring inner monologue.

READ IT!. This novel it perfection! It’s everything you need it to be, I will definitely be re-reading 🫶🏼

review. such a good book!! pretty quick read if you are a fast reader, i got nervous after reading some of the reviews but i was glad i bought and read it. cheesy at some points maybe a little cringe at others but overall a lovely, well written book! i also wasn’t expecting as much sex as there was, well written just unexpected.

I guess it wasn’t for me. Overall the plot and the character dynamics felt forced. There were good and cute moments throughout story that made sense and was well written than some other novels I gave a try in the past. But some of the scenes felt forced. Even the spicy scenes; the reasoning behind the conflicts, too many nicknames, the irritation Anastasia sometimes had, some of Nathan’s “caring” moments, and the FMC/MMC being turned on to each other really randomly. The author could’ve done better. The plot had potential. But the writing started to drag the plot and lost interest as it went. It just didn’t fit my personal preference as a reader. Especially the way how the steamy moments were written. But this is coming from someone that don’t enjoy lot of the mainstream spicy scenes, so you can disregard my opinion if you tend to enjoy them.

Icebreaker Review❤️. I have to say this book was fantastic! The characters in this book was described so well! I have to say Aaron was getting on my nerves throughout the whole book but that what brings this book to life. Anastasia and Nathan’s romance was so cute and romantic. Anastasia being grumpy and Nathan being a sunshine. I’m so happy with the ending of this book! Can’t wait for the second book in the Maple Hills series!!! -Kierra Brice🩷

beyond cool ( pun intended ). 5/5 stars bro this book got me on a roller coaster of emotions and feelings and it was intense and got me hooked so fast; got me out of my reading slump and everything. i love this book so so so much and im not even a big fan of contemporary either so this really is a big deal for me

This book isn’t really worth it. This book is really only hyped up because of the sex scenes in it. There is no actual plot or big problem between the two love interests, it’s only ever a small problem, temporary solution, and then a sex scene. There also isn’t any character development. There were so many times where Nate could’ve fixed his relationship with his father or just depth to his character in general. Also Anastasia is very rude, and thinks that the world should revolve around her. You can definitely tell she’s an only child because she has never been told no. So if you want read this book for smut, go on and read, but if you want an actual good story, then I suggest you don’t read this book.

Summer Read perfection!. Such a good book!!! Yes it’s a romance novel so if you aren’t hear for spicy scenes and a hot couple then go read something boring. I can’t wait for book 2!

Really really loved this one. There’s a little bit of everything in this one, which I love! Recently I’ve been into the hockey troupe so this one took it to another level. Great for teenagers and young adults! Some really steamy scenes but also lots of heartfelt and deep scenes that speak so much to relationships and society as a whole. Such a fun read, can’t wait for the next one!

10/10. I read this book within the first 4-5 days of getting it. It’s so good the relationship, the drama, the plot, and it hits subjects that people actually go through in like 10/10 recommend this is definitely my comfort book. 18+ cause of the smutty scenes.

Good Easy Read!. This was the perfect book to read on my iPhone. I would probably read a chapter or two a day and having the story be from Anastasia’s and Nate’s perspective was nice. Nate is all green flags. He’s the perfect man. Anastasia was a bit annoying at times but she grew on me as the book went on. I wish the ending was a little more fleshed out it felt so rushed and I would of liked to know more about how the fall out evolved between Anastasia and Aaron. Over all 4/5 🫶🏻

Best intro book. Icebreaker is a good book for people who are starting to get into the romance/smutt genre because the romance aspects are there with the enemies to lovers and grumpyxsunshine trope but then taps into the smutt when you least expect it. Also you fall in love with hockey team especially the Captain.

Enemies to lovers. Love it! Although not a fan of spicy scenes, this book had just enough drama and romance in it. Forgot I was reading and finished this book in less than 2 days. If your a fan of enemies to lovers tropes. I recommend! The character development was INCREDIBLE!

Fun read!. I enjoyed reading this book quite a bit if I’m honest. Steamy scenes were good, banter was cute, and it had good character arcs. Only three critiques, 1. It did drag a little in the end and I found myself skimming rather than reading involuntarily 2. Dialogue is fine right now but I can only imagine how outdated it will feel in a year 😭 3. This is the WORST OFFENDER for a former theatre kid like me. Sabrina can not be in a production of Hamilton because NOBODY can do Hamilton 😭 Tbh petty critiques on my part I’m aware I just had to get it out of my system

if i could rate it at 10000 stars, i would. this book was SOOO cute! i love anastasia and nathan and they are just perfect for each other! i love both of their humor and how the character development goes! truly SUCH A GOOD BOOK

Hockey jocks are my new obsession. Love it, so many twist…it kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put it down.

Icebreaker Review. I honestly was really liking this book up until till the last 100 or so pages. I honestly felt like I was being gaslit. It sometimes felt like characters would say some dialogue that just didn’t fit into who they were described as, Nate especially has some lines that i’m like that feels so out of character for him. I also feel like half the time it felt like Nate’s friends didn’t even like him. I overall enjoyed most parts of the book it’s just the last conflict really left me feeling so confused and kind of made me disconnect from the story a bit.

Really good read (fun and fast). I’m very happy that I read this book. Super fun and quick to read amazing plot that made me want to keep reading. Absolutely loved it and very satisfied with how it ended. If you want a beautiful book to read quick and to get you in a happier mood this is the one!

Worth it.. This book has a great plot and a bit of spice! I like this book because it was easy to read. Some books, I get confused and lost in all of these characters and all the drama but this book kept me interested and intrigued!

FALSE REVIEWS. The author would do well to read a novel prior to writing one. Plot is predictable and tedious, characters are undeveloped and nonsensical, writing is juvenile. Clearly, the author has friends, followers, or just a lot of time on her hands because the reviews are obviously fabricated.

Icebreaker. Came into this read expecting some light, very cheesy and cliche romance. And left feeling satisfied yet very confused. Don’t get me wrong it has more than enough stupid romance, but it also has a lot of scenes that strike deep and I can really resonate with. I really enjoyed Anastasia’s growth throughout the book. And JJ best character. Deffinatly could use some better writing, but it’s a great quick read!
