Fast and Steamy. I love Winters work, she never fails to deliver the steamy goodness we all crave. Im a sucker for werewolves and was super excited to read this, it did not disappoint, The treaty calls for yearly offerings to the werewolves protecting them. No one has been taken in over 100 years so when Grace and her best friend Lizzie are both taken neither girl knows what to expect. I loved that we get two separate POV in one book, right off the bat we get to see the differences in how the girls react. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the quick pace of this book, it gets right into the steamy parts. We find out about why the girls were taken and what it means for their futures. We also learn some intriguing information about Lizzies past. My only qualm was the length, I NEED MOREEEE!

Really enjoyed. This was my first time reading a book like this and I thought it was pretty good. My favorite perspectives were Grace & Devin. I did think there were a few pet names that were overused, but overall this was good. (Best book in the series so far)

Um okay?. I really liked the characters and the plot of this book, until the last few chapters. I like ALL romance books, from sweet to SEXY. This was rape. Plain, simple, rape. Masquerading as love? No thanks. Feel free to read it yourself to confirm, but don’t get into this thinking it’s going to be anything other than a book that ends in “happily ever after” rape.

No story.. The storyline to this book was very brief (think pilot to tv show). The story had no dimension to it. After all the promotion i was excited to read but unfortunately disappointed.

Totally unexpected and Very spicy. Was very surprised this was a shifter series and OH BOY get ready for the rollercoaster as this book is a Sprint! Quick read and pleasantly entertaining. Definitely SPICY and yes all caps!!

My first really spicy adult book. I loved this book. I started with one of her lighter books because although this interests me I’m not ready to jump in. It wasn’t as light as i was expecting, I definitely side eyed Dom and Caleb. But in the end it was bearable and enjoyable. Ill have to work my way up to the darker books.

Hot!. Captivating story of werewolf love. The characters pull you into the story and keep you there.

Shifter Hotness. Being a PNR snob, I am very picky about these types of stories. Well..... Willow Winters did not disappoint me. Wounded Kisses takes place in a small town called Shadow Falls which is protected by shifters (werewolves). Yearly, there is an offering of the village girls ranging from the age of 19-21. This offering is part of the towns treaty with the shifters and no one dares to not obey it. This year, best friends and roommates Lizzie and Grace have just turned of age to partake in the offering. Neither wants to be there but they know that they don't have a choice. Although frightened of being chosen, they go hoping and wishing that they will be overlooked. However the shifters have other plans for them and soon Grace and Lizzie find themselves torn away form the life they once knew to the unknown. Grace has this strength and fierceness that Devin, the Alpha, craves. When he felt her presence when she attended the offering the year prior, he knew that she was the one but he had to wait. So when she came of age, there was no way he would let her get away. There is this immediate pull that Grace feels towards Devin and she can't comprehend how that can be when they have just met. Grace wants out. She wants to get Lizzie and to go back to the life that she and Lizzie have planned for themselves. Although her mind tells her one thing, her body and heart say another. Will Grace accept her fate and stand beside Devin's side as his "mate?" Lizzie has demons that have haunted her throughout her life. She finally has gotten to place where she feels loved and accepted, thanks to Grace, her saving grace. What a cruel world! She is ripped from her safe place and taken against her will. As much as Dom and Caleb attempt to show her compassion and patients, she just can't remove her fears and the ghosts of her past that keep her locked up like a chained animal. When Dom realizes why she fears him, he stops at nothing to make her understand that he is not like the one who broke her. Caleb and Dom stop at nothing to make her see that they are hers and she is theirs. The scenes were so hot, sexy and alluring. As a reader you feel like you are Lizzie or Grace and you're taken by these sexy beasts that ant nothing more to love and please you. I couldn't get enough and I want more.

Okay steamy read. An okay quick steamy read. I just wish it had more sustenance as far as story developing and the world around them.

Wounded. Gah! Willow killed this genre! Such a great read. I flew through the pages and before I knew it, i was done and I was left wishing I had slowed my roll a bit and savored it more. Great characters and storyline. I’m hoping she dips her toes back into worlds like this soon. Read it:)

R*pe. There’s pretty much r*pe in this book disguised as mates. I wanted a cute romance book with erotica, and got that instead.

Beware-hot werewolves. So, I haven’t read PNR in a minute and OMG Willow…I am left wanting more and waiting impatiently for the next book. Willow brought some heat and enough tease of more to come. I cannot wait to see what next. This is not your typical PNR Romance, at least not like I’ve read before. The characters are complicated and the back stories have a depth I can’t wait to dig farther into. I cannot recommend enough. See you after the full moon.

Totally amazing!. Totally amazing! Crazy well written and beautifully structured to captivate and intrigue while developing meaningful characters that weave so well together!

No conclusion. She forgot to finish the book. There is absolutely no conclusion to any of the characters story lines. The book was okay until I got to the last page and realized the author left us hanging. And not in that to be continued promise of a sequel kind of way. Although there is a next book in the series, it opens with a Vampire, so I don’t have high hope of these characters getting a proper ending to their story.

Great start. I could not stop reading this book. Finished it in 3 hours.

Beware of cliffhanger!. The read was decent but too short, and ends in a cliffhanger that was in no way warned. If you want to know more of the story, you have to buy the next book (or books?). I also dislike how the book focuses on multiple people, instead of just the main character. It’s like the author couldn’t decide which story to tell, so we got both.

Amazing!. I have never been a fan of this genre of books but I gave it a chance and I am SO glad that I did I love every second and everything about this book I could not put it down.

It was basically just xxx scenes. One review said it was rape and she was not wrong. I love romance novels and this definitely wasn’t it.

I read it in 3 days.. I’m typically a slow reader but I was so sucked into this book.

It was okay.. It feels like it was rushed at the end. I wanted to know more but I do not like the ending.

Poor. Thee characters and storyline feel rushed in every way; most of the characters I found just as unlikeable at the beginning as the end. Don’t know if the author was going through a r*** fantasy thing, but the context of this smut was not fulfilling for the story arc or the reader. I can’t read further as I feel bad for these young girls.

Holy hotness 🥵. Let me start this off by saying that I have not read many PNR books, but this one takes the icing on the cake. It is HOT, HOT, HOT 🥵🥵. The Alpha on Alpha energy Grace and Devin have is just… *chefs kiss*, let’s not forget their insane almost instant chemistry 😍 Lizzie’s story definitely surprised me but it was a welcome surprise and I love that she got 2 mates to care for/help her. I can’t wait to read book 2. ❤️

could be better. made a little pros and cons list for anybody wanting to read PROS 1. Loved first 2-3 chapters the progress at the beginning was nicely paced 2. Both Lizzie and Grace’s feel like thought out character who have interests and depth Devin as well 3. Without the undertones the smut was well written not taking in context 4. Does a good job of story building (just wish there was more of it) CONS 1. Huge TW both girls barely consent to the sex and is written as a “oh we must do this because it’s our body telling us what to do”. 2. I wish both girls hadn’t been made to jump into sex immediately. it didn’t do anything for their characters and made it come off as r*pe fantasy. Grace should’ve been able to take care of her friend slowly gaining Devin’s trust. I feel like that progression would’ve been much more satisfying to read. Her inner turmoil but sticking to what she believes in and not FORCED to give in to the sex. And Lizzie WHY did they do that to her. It was neither sexy nor fun to read. She was just sobbing self harming and having a breakdown thinking she was with the person that kidnapped and tortured her and the NEXT page she’s apparently consenting to have sex with them? no that wasn’t consent at all 3. Short. Like insanely short. Like she wrote up a couple sex scenes and then made the plot around it. Doesn’t even leave on a cliff hanger just a random sentence with no conclusion and the mystery that was sprinkled in wasn’t that intriguing summary if you want a short smutty fantasy book that has an underlying consent issue and feels incomplete this is for you

Not the best but not the worse. Just poorly written. So much potential but Smutt in the wrong places .

Love Werewolves!. I loved Grace and Lizzie, but I feel sorry for them because of all that they have been through in their past, especially Lizzie. They are both terrified to go to the Offering, but it makes them feel better that nobody has been picked the last several times. They have been together for so long, they only have each other, and they don’t want to be separated from each other. Then you meet Devin, Caleb, and Dom. They all look big, scary, and everyone is scared of them because they're werewolves. They come across as gruff, tough guys which they are, but all they want to do is take of Grace and Lizzie. I loved this book and can't wait for Gentle Scars to be released.

Come on. Are we really out here calling this a book?

I didn’t know I needed werewolf romance in my life until now. I haven’t read a werewolf romance book before as I never had interest in it but hot dang I have been missing out! The suspense in this book is at a high! Don’t get me started with the spicy scenes! Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic🔥. Wounded Kiss is the perfect steamy, quick-read fantasy. Werewolves?✔️ Alphas with soft spots for the heroine?✔️ Friendships?✔️✔️ Grace is an amazing heroine. I loved how she always looked after her best friend, even when she herself didn’t feel safe nor comfortable. She was incredibly fierce and so loyal, I loved how she didn’t give in immediately. She was an absolutely incredible heroine and I loved reading about her journey. Devon is hawt🔥. I loved how even when she wasn’t in the right state of mind, he still respected her and her space. He was very protective and patient with Grace, Devon just captured my heart from the very beginning. I loved the little strong-alpha facade he tried to keep up, but we knew he was too smitten with her. I loved everything in this book, the instant connection between Grace and Devon was fantastic. Even when they were already fated because they were mates, they built an emotional relationship that was full of love and trust. The only thing was that I wished it was a bit longer but other than that, it was marvellous. 4.5⭐️ | 3🌶

Wow…And wow!. This is very pacy, VERY spicy and very intriguing. Characters that grab you from the start and enough surprises to keep you reading on your toes. A great start to what promises to be a great series.

Not for me. Found this a little on the intense side. I feel like there isn’t a plot at all it just focuses on the characters figuring out their relationships and it was repetitive. Quite short books with not much going on other than romance. However, it is well-written.

Not a bad concept. This was a DNF for me unfortunately. Which I absolutely despise doing. But the two mates to one girl thing just isn’t for me. And considering how young the girls were I thought it was a bit creepy. So I couldn’t really get into it.

Frustrating. The book is pretty decently spicy, but is basically all set in 24 hours and just when the characters start to get somewhere, the book just ends in the most unsatisfying way.
