Wow!. I’ve followed this author for years but I usually stick to PNR. I love her books enough to branch out and see what she’s done and I’m so glad I did! This is a great story with enough going on to keep you invested throughout the entire story. I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Amazing and intense. Loved it so much!. The first book of a very intense series. Mad Dog or Maddox has a past that forever changed him both physically and emotionally. He discovered more about himself but led to so much pain and suffering. The scars he tries to hide but even he will have to show them if he is to survive. Leo, his best friend and Celeste, the first girl he ever loved, are the other two main characters. The story will show the darkness of the mafia and its effects on those not involved in it. Good men make bad decisions and death will be the consequence. The story has a deep plot that is always changing with some twists that will make you cry, some to make you laugh and some that are pure hotness. There are m/m, m/f and m/m/f scenes.

Mad Dog (Second Skin : Book One) Ophelia Bell. I didn’t know if I was going to like this book , but ended up loving it . I have to say I was very impressed by Ophelia Bell’s being able to bring tears to my eyes several times . I would highly recommend this book but only to mature readers due to some of the content.

Great World Building. Ophelia Bell writes about strong women who are not apologetic about enjoying sex and alpha men who do not mind strong women. If you are ready to take a trip on sensual ride, then pack your bags for this steamy mafia voyage. The journey introduces you to a world of action, mystery, suspense and a wonderful world of fiction. Ophelia Bell usually writes about steamy dragons, but this latest introduction to mafia series had me on the edge. Ophelia never disappoints capturing my attention. The world building in this novel was very original. Each characterization was top notch with the leading men and leading lady being very distinct individuals. The storyline had everything needed to keep you turning pages; such as, 2 hot strong men, a strong heroine, steamy scenes, thrilling action suspense and mystery. A well written mafia story that is unpredictable and entertaining. Looking forward to the next tasty installment. Redhat queen. I loved this book. The characters were fantastic and so interesting. Mad Dog I fell in love with him. Such a big man but he was a teddy bear. Great action in this story. A great love story.

Loved. The storyline is full of danger, intrigue and violence with romance thrown in to make this book worth reading. Madonna, Celeste, and Leo are thrown together after a deal goes wrong, The characters are amazing. I received a copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Exquisite pain. Exquisite pain. I do so love a book by Ophelia Bell. Why? Because she understands the fluidity of attraction. And what comes around, goes around. Maddox had a thing for Celeste in high school. Years later, he’s out of the military and working as a tattoo artist and he’s bi. Leo (who Maddox has a jones for) has a jones for Celeste, who he can’t have. Just like Maddox couldn’t have her. Super steamy. And sharing is involved. Recommend.

Loved it. A triangle/ménage, whatever you call it. A tattooist, an enforcer that both have feelings for Celeste. But Mad Dog also has feelings for Leo the enforcer! It’s an engrossing read. And I did have to wonder how this would play out.

Fantastic. Book 1 in new series Second Skin by Ophelia Bell Maddox (Mad Dog) is a ex navy now a tattoo artist in a rough area of LA that is run by cartels. Papa Flores runs the world surrounding Maddox and his family but he hasn’t been messed up with him since he was a kid. Celeste is the daughter of papa Flores and runs his properties. After papa Flores hurts a love interest for getting too close she can’t let herself get too close to Leo one of her bodyguards. I won’t lie I wasn’t sure I’d 100% love this like all her other book but I should have trust in the queen of dragons to deliver me a amazing book. This is heavily based around the American-Mexican cartel which I don’t know much about other then what I’ve watched in movies so it’s nice to see this family and loyalty side but still with the gritty stuff. Absolutely loved this and can not wait till next book. This is first book in a long time that’s kept me awake and when I did go to sleep I woke up in night desperate to carry on.

Excellent book! Highly recommend!!. This is yet another excellent book by this author. It is well written and the characters and story are well developed. I love the individual character personalities and seeing their relationship dynamics grow and evolve. The story is full of suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and romance. I’d highly recommend this book!! I look forward to future books in this series!! I received an arc for a voluntary review.

Quite enjoyable. I really enjoyed the interaction between Maddox, Lee, and Celeste. There was quite a bit of tension, personal challenges, hot sexy scenes, fights, and a few twists.

A great start to a fantastic series. Book 1 in the series. It is part of a 5 book series but can be read as a stand-alone I love the authors writing style. She always has a way with words that always draws the reader in to the story. This story is a slow burn ménage one. Hero is Maddox who is ( Mad Dog, ). The other 2 that make up the story is Celeste and Leo . All 3 are together. The story has lots of twists and turns , full of suspense, mystery and love Can’t wait to dive into book 2

Holy HAWT!. That scene... when all three of them... phew, that scene lit an inferno that had been simmering throughout the book. I’ve always loved Ophelia Bell’s contemporary work since I read ‘’After You’. This story is deeper and richer (and longer, of course) and I felt completely engaged in Celeste, Leo and Maddox’s lives. The love that they find amongst the tragedy is simply so beautiful, and the world that is being created is just incredible and immersive... sigh... I’m missing it already. I can’t wait for the rest of the Second Skin Series.
