I don’t even know. This was an amazing read. It made me cry twice. I can say, it WAS hard for me to read it in the beginning just because it really depressed me, but the more I read, the more I gained interest into Maggie’s life. I loved this read. 🥹

I didn’t want it to end. Wow, I can’t put into words how remarkable this story was. I never wanted to stop reading it. The heaviness of love and loss in this story has made it my favorite book from Sparks yet. I felt every emotion through the words on the pages and even though it wasn’t the ending I had imagined it would be, it left me satisfied. A must read!

Another great read!. As always, Nicholas Sparks never disappoints! The Wish was just as amazing as every other novel he has written. Can’t wait for the next one!

Love N. Sparks’ stories but not this one.. To be honest, I had no idea what this book was about. I only bought it because of the author. I am not interested in reading about any teenage love story. As an adult, it is a little creepy for me and I married my high school sweetheart! Sorry NS, hope the next one is for adults.

Another Amazing Story!!. Although I figure out the significance of a certain character way earlier in the story than I should have, and it made me angry at myself, I am very glad I finished the story anyways! It was extremely well written, as always, to the point that I could picture each moment as described. Thank you Nicholas for all of your incredible stories and the time and effort that you dedicate to every detail. It is what will always make you my favorite.

Rediscoverinmg a sentimental favorite author. Years ago I read notebook and one or two of his other books and then for some reason lost track of his work. Then I saw this title on the best seller lists and couldn’t resist. Somehow I’d combined notebook and bridges of Madison sounty in my mind. I gues that can happen as you get old. Ocracoke is a place that has always fascinated me. Blackbeard the pirate spent some time there as I recall. The islands of the outer banks have always appealed to me. They used to be a great place for boardsailing - probably still are. And of sourse Kitty Hawk isn’t far away. The story of Maggie and Bryce is a great love story and the way it is told in pieces makes it more poignant. The end wasn’t surprising. Some of the other twists were easy to guess but the story was still heart warming. It seemed particularly appropriate to read it at Christmas time. I also enjoyed the exploration of photography. Since retiring from my real job - my calling - I have enjoyed developing my skills as a photographer. She talks about phots ultimately being an individual expression of how a photographer experiences the world and I found that well stated.

The wish. The characters seemed so real I felt I could reach out and touch them. As sad as the ending was it also gave me hope that somethings in life can come out right. I loved Maggie’s sense of adventure and her ability to stick her chin up no matter how many punches life landed on her. Thank you for giving me a wonderful read.

Prepare to cry. I haven’t cried as much as I did with a book before! I loved from the beginning to the end!

The Wish. Loved this latest book of Nicholas Sparks so much. It felt like reading 2 books in 1 since it contained 2 different stories. Over 20 years apart. I’ve read all of NS books & each one keeps getting better & better.

The Wish ~ Contemplative. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read this at first, too sadly realistic. He has such a beautiful way of bringing the reader into the story and capturing all the emotions. The ending, while I was crying, is so inspirational that it made me think about all the great things I have and to really appreciate them, every day!

Amazing Read. I purchased this book a year ago when my life was falling apart. Though I have read many books written by Nicholas Sparks, this book put things in perspective in away nothing else did. It took me personally awhile to really dive into the book but once I finally opened up to possibilities, I found myself unable to put it down. I only wrote this review to thank the author for giving me this gift. Merry Christmas everyone.

Incredible. Although this story was about a teenage love, I related it to my youth and how I felt. Fast forward to the present and the reality of the situation was all too real. Having had family survive it, it hit home. The end was poetic and I felt gratified at how Maggie got closure. Great read!

Amazing. Out of all of Nickolas Sparks’ books, this was my all time favorite. The past/ present views make you so in tune with the narrator of the story. I could not put this book down and ended up finishing it in a day. Sparks does it again!

Touched my heart. Very well written. “Love is stronger than fear” and this book will touch your heart in ways unimaginable. It will take you on a love journey that has turns and twists but in the end love wins and lessons are learned.

New Favorite. After a few average books, Nicholas Sparks is back. This book was great. It was a sweet story full of twists and turns with a surprise ending that I kinda saw coming but was incredible nevertheless. If you’re a Sparks fan, it’s a must read.

Such an amazing read.. I seriously loved every aspect of this book. I couldn’t put it down and oftentimes fell asleep reading. I am new to reading love novels and finished this within a week. Hoping for a movie!!!

My first Nicholas Sparks book. While I’m familiar with all the movies based on his books. This was my first read of his and oh my goodness. I ended up figuring out what was going to play out before I read it but even then was I not prepared for the way it was portrayed. Beautiful, tear jerking, passionate. I loved every minute of this book. I finished it in one day!

Not good. Trite and mediocre. However, this is the only Nicholas Sparks book I’ve ever read where no one had purple or turquoise eyes and there were no mentions of blouses, slacks or pumps.

Definitely unexpected, sweet story. When I read some of the reviews of this book , I wasn’t sure how I would like it. It is so much more than a teenage love story as one wrote. Very heart wrenching and good story. Very much enjoyed.

The Wish. This book had me intrigued from the beginning all the way to the ending. Definitely was not what I expected in the end, but it was so worth the read. It had sadness, it had happiness. Every single emotion I felt as though it were happening to me. This is by far the best book Nicholas Sparks has written. I have recommended this book to a few coworkers who have began reading it also. I didn’t want to put this book down. Much of this book, I related to, which made it that much better!! ❤️
