Not so sure about this one…. Not my favorite from the series so far. It saddens me that he left Chicago and she never offered to move with him there. She could have followed her dreams from a different state. Or done a 50-50 with him so he could get close to his mother. I guess I’ll be let down knowing that this will not be the first couple to leave. I hope not but now that one left the others might follow as they find their significant others. It’s disappointing. I really wanted all of them to stay together. I know he is still part of the brotherhood but the relationship will never be the same with him far away from them all and the ladies will not bond the same way either. I’m also disappointed that Lucy’s character has been left in the back burner and Sasha has basically taken control. Even Story is more charismatic in the books. I wish Lucy’s character was more out going than just letting us know she is a lawyer all the time. As if she has no life after her career…

It was okay but steamy. As much as I liked and surprisingly quite fascinated with the whole BSMD theme in the Chicago Bratva book series, I really wanted to give this one five stars but unfortunately Pavel and Kayla’s story wasn’t appealing enough to give it😬. Don’t get me wrong I thought it was fascinating and interesting to know some of the basic aspects of the whole dominant/submissive relationship between the couple. When I hear or read about the word sadist, I find it disturbing and a little creeped out. The steamy sexual chemistry between these two are hot like the other previous couples. But even though I gave this book four stars, I still enjoyed reading it all the way through without skipping.

🔥🔥🔥. I can’t get enough of the Russian Bratva. They’re intense, bad a**, and just all encompassing. And that explains Pavel perfectly. I will admit, shamefully, this is the 1st book I read in this series (though I do own the others!), so I’m jumping in not knowing the back story. But that’s ok. Doesn’t take away from it at all for anyone else like me. Pavel & Kayla are intense together, smoking hot 🔥, with moments of tenderness that will melt your heart. I loved this book, I cannot wait for the next one, and look forward to reading the previous books!!

Delicious!. This book was so delicious that I had to read it twice immediately after I read it the first time. So spicy and hot! 🔥😍🌶️ I appreciated not having to read a hundred pages of background before the first sexy scene. 😏 I love going back and re-reading this book! That is how fantastic it is! Incredible work, Ms. Renee Rose. ❤️ However, there were a significant amount of grammatical and spelling errors in this book. I mean, upwards of forty errors that I took note of. 🫣 I don’t understand why authors don’t hire proofreaders to check their work. Book publishers always do that before they publish, but authors rarely do that for virtual books.

Mixed feelings. I had mixed feelings about the story but I am glad I persevered. I do not understand or enjoy reading anything to do with sadism and knowing that Pavel was a sadist almost stopped me from reading the book. However understanding his backstory and seeing the personal growth in his relationships both with Kayla and with his “family” changed my mind. His transformation was amazing and, while it is not my favourite one in the series, I still enjoyed it. I voluntarily reviewed this book.

Dark and dirty!!. Pavel is truly a heartless bad boy Russian Dom and like Kayla, I had a hard time reconciling her intense relationship with him at the beginning. But nothing prepares you for their crazy hot chemistry and despite the consensual pain Pavel likes to exert on Kayla, their powerful underlying feelings are never far from the surface. Over time Pavel stole my heart as he came to terms with his growing affection for Kayla outside a D/s relationship including his over powering need to protect her. What a great read!
