Cool.. It’s good and all when Jonas fell of the sled 🛷 the descriptions were kind of gory. Also did he really have to throw up 🤮 when he fell of? That seems like a weird thing to happen. The book it’s self is very interesting and makes us question about the future. But just one more thing…. THEY KILL BABIES!!! It’s true!!! The society loves to be equal and if are born they choose the one that weighs less and do what they called being released a.k.a kill people cause they don’t follow the rules aren’t equal or are old. The ending is very good too but is very vague. That is my book review. Even if there are a few problem is it’s still a good book. BTW if you are a very sensitive person who get sad a lot Don’t read this book read something happier

One of the best books. This is a super good book I am reading all of the other giver books and I read count the stars anyways this is such a good book thanks.

Meh. I did not love this because it ended on a cliff hanger and nothing happened until the last 4 chapters

Awesome. Beautiful writing, good plot and suspense.

I hated this book. This book is very confusing. Jonas is a bad protagonist, he doesn’t realize that he is literally alone, his friend don’t understand pain and he forgets that…a lot. The giver is annoying being all mysterious. He’s just an off brand, on crack Dumbledore. Honestly, my favorite character was Gabriel(A baby, who talks gibberish throughout the novel) or Asher, Jonas’s best friend who is a minor character.

Awful. I hate this book. Because you actually wrote something about Jonas’ father KILLING A #$&@*&$ BABY!!!! I’m officially done giving a crap!😡 That book shouldn’t have been published in the first place. Why don’t you write a romance novel or something I recommend Walk Two Moons to you guys who read this inappropriate book. In the graphic novel, there is Nudity, Suicide, and Disregard to people who are different. You deserve 1-star. HOWEVER, that one part about WHERES MY SMACK” wasn’t so bad.

Excellent book. I think this is an awesome book and definitely going to read the rest of the books

Good book. The Giver was a very intense book to read. It had quite an unpredictable story line, which i enjoyed reading; but I started to realize how similar it was to “Divergent”, another Sci-Fi novel.

Unbelievably good. It gave me a whole new perspective on the world.
