Mixed Up With a Marine. New author for me. Good book, well written, strong characters. I definitely would read this author again.

Great Suspenseful Romance - Couldn’t Put It Down. This was a challenging review for me to write. It seems I’ve too often begun reviews of Kait Nolan books with “WOW!!”. Yet, again, WOW!! (It’s hard to be creative when your mind’s blown.) I wasn’t prepared for Mixed Up With A Marine to be even more intense that its prequel, Rescued By A Bad Boy — but WOW!! This story is ingeniously woven with Mia and Brax’s back-back stories fully explored (what happened before their Foster Care system experience,) what’s happened since they were separated at the end of the prequel, and the insane situational events of their lives reconnected. Great suspenseful romance - couldn’t put it down. WOW!!!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Hot Bakers…. Brax and Mia’s story is well written and has quite a few twists and turns I honestly didn’t expect. Yes, you know they have a happy ending, but getting there is not as clear cut as you might think… which makes this a wonderful story to read that you won’t want to put down! There’s quite the subplot going on throughout that really beefs up the story, but I’m not going to say anymore… just read the book, it’s worth your time and money! Second chance love story. What an intense emotional beginning of the Bad Boy Bakers series! Kait Nolan knows how to draw you into the story that is suspenseful, intense and entertaining. After 10 years Mia and Braxton are surprised to find each other on the same building project. Braxton thinks he is divorced and she knows she is still married to him. There are secrets she never told him and Braxton thinks she just walked away from him. This story is well written with interesting characters who you will truly love and will have a difficult time putting the book down. Reunited for a Second Chance. 4 I recently found this author and I’m so glad I did! Mia and Brax have a complicated history and feelings they can’t escape no matter how much they think they want to. I loved the roller coaster of emotions they brought out in me while finding their way through the mud of feelings and the past. I encourage everyone to try out this book! Love this book!!!. Absolutely LOVE the first book in the new series by Kait Nolan. A spin-off series from her Misfit Inn (with some characters making appearances) this one starts with Brax and Mia, two broken kids when they met, this picks up with a surprise meeting and a love story that I never wanted to end. As always, this book is well written the way that only Nolan can write. Well worth the 5 stars (I only wish I could give more). I can't wait for the rest of the series!!!!

Intriguing and sexy!!. Brand spanking new series with some known and some new characters!! Irresistible characters with intriguing stories! I really thought Mia was at fault until I found her reasons- didn’t see that coming !! Very well conceptualization and sizzling chemistry!!! Loved loved loved this! Loved it!. The prequel laid out the foundation for this story. Not gonna lie, you’ll want to read that first to understand the emotional depths of this book. Complex, with indulgences to both the sexy/romantic byplay as well as the intrigue that seems to stop without really having it conclude. But it does have a feel of real life - sometimes we don’t get answers. Still loved it so much I couldn’t put it down until I finished the last page!. Brax went from life as a Marine to wanting to start up his own bakery when his ex-wife walks in to help with the construction plans. Mia has waited ten years for a second chance with Brax, but knows she owes him the truth. Between the swirling revelations, building new plans, and now a threat of danger, can Brax and Mia find a true second chance at love? This was such an amazing book! As soon as I finished it, i just sat back, thinking of the whirlwind and heart tugging emotions that this book evoked. Brax and Mia were dynamic, full of angst and pain and hope and love, and if you read the prequel to this story (which you 100% should!), then you know they’ve already faced so many trials, and this book just brings more. You find out that Mia is such a little warrior. She’s faced things that no one should ever have to. She’s carried the weight of regrets and bad choices that have lost her everything. And she can’t let her guard down for anyone, including her husband. Or so she thinks. Brax is not the boy she married so long ago. He’s faced just as many terrors during his time as a Marine, but his love for Mia still shines strong, even under the hate. Their connection, even after ten years, is still so strong and pure and gosh, you really can’t help but cheer for their happily ever after. Y’all, this book has it all - there’s a second chance at love, there’s danger, there’s possible mob connections, there’s a love triangle, there’s passion… I didn’t want to put this book down and I am so excited for the next book in the series!

Romance and suspense. I love a story with suspense and a romance together. Found it hard to put down sometimes.

Reality check. The reality of coming back from war, fostered children’s journey and the evil of some. Brax and Mia’s story obviously comes from the heart. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Second chance romances make my heart sing!. Second chance romances make my heart sing! Having read the prequel, Rescued By a Bad Boy, I was in desperate need of seeing Brax and Mia get another shot to make a go of it. There’s a lot going on in their story and most of it was nothing like I was expecting. This pair and all their self-recriminations ripped my heart into little bitty pieces. But watching them peel back the layers and get vulnerable, plus their commitment to one another, patched all those broken pieces back together. There’re a couple threads that aren’t completely tied off about Mia’s past and the dangers she’s faced, so I’m guessing these might play further into future books of the series. The ending is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever read and I can’t wait to read more about these newest members of the Eden’s Ridge community. Besides, I love any chance I get to check back in on my favorite Misfit Inn families. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
